  1. 31 and ashamed that I didn't get 50
  2. Thanks for your completely worthless response. I really would like to have you in the same fox-hole as me, yeah I got your back. OH, LEST I FORGET, FUCK YOU!!!!! I do wish you a Merry Christmas tho..... but unlike you, I mean it.
  3. I am in the same situation, insurance canceled etc.............. Those who are still at the plant I would appreciate you keeping us updated on this screw up. Thanks!!!!! I can't say on this forum what I truly would like to say about "HER".
  4. Every other company does it so why not Ford? Very weak Len-A. Let me show you the bridge that everyone is jumping off. I have read some of your posts and you can do better than that, I hope.
  5. Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for exposing the hypocrisy of the FORD leadership or should I say the lack there of. I am a firm believer in leading by example and this should be an eye opener for all employees and stock holders. If you follow the present leadership you can look for more wasteful expenditures. This kinda "stuff" runs down hill too. You can't talk out of the side of your mouth and expect those who are following you not to act as you do. As a soon to be ex-employee what happens to FMC is no concern of mine. Those who remain should seriously consider who they hook their wagon to. The present leadership lives in a bubble to far removed from the average consumer. I have said it before and repeat it again here. They are to timid to lead, to slow to follow and to stupid to get out of the way. Until FMC gets rid of the bean counters and replaces them with some "car guys", I am suspect of their every move. The money spent, on weekly trips to wherever, would be far better spent on hiring the best design and engineering people available. In charge of this group would be someone with some vision and an eye for what is appealing. The products FMC has been putting out are so mundane and watered down, in an attempt, to try to appeal to everyone. When you try to please everyone you become so diluted that that you end up pleasing no one. While Mr. Fields galivants around the country, I am still waiting for a sub-pay check due to me October 14th. This is less than $500 take home. Now, I am not about to lose anything because of this, but it is becoming a matter of principle. Sorry for the off topic rant. I'm done now. Thanks Mr. Wilson for something that needed to be brought to the publics attention.
  6. http://www.uaw.org/dclink/dcstory.cfm?DcId=145 another reason I don't want my union involved in poliitics. I will never join another union as long as they keep backing this FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! last post here on this forum, I know you will miss me
  7. This is not good, just plain downright UGLY..... rectangle with a square on top like many of the 80 model fords..... this will not appeal to the masses or even close to the 50% he's hoping for. Their still needs to be changes in their design division. Brand identity, using a like grille on every vehicle, is a big part of the problem. It gets old real fast. If they were serious about designing vehicles that appeal to 50% and disgust 50% this idea needs to be scrapped ASAP!! Uniqueness, in all their offerings, is what will turn this company around, THEY STILL DON'T GET IT!!!!
  8. Then they wonder why Bush won't talk to them
  9. They get 50% pre tax an another 50% after taxes. :bandance:
  10. good-bye-stl-hello-kc As far as the gas prices, any economist will say it is supply and demand, that's the capitalistic way. Is there some shakey stuff going on, you bet. The so called leaders of the democratic party are knee deep in this also. Take a look a Ted Kennedy's involvement in the oil and gas industry. Another two way sreet. Level playing field, I am talking about the transplants, here in America, who do play by the same rules and their vehicles made here in North America. I thought that Ford was doing okay in the foreign maket. It's the North American division that has problems. More later... thanks for the rational debate guys.... time for the grille.
  11. Len-A, I do like coffee. Seems you have had some run ins with some assholes that were republican, so you say, I have no reason to doubt you. I surely don't mean to imply that every republican is a saint. These business people were just that, assholes. If you wish to say that they were republican assholes, fine. You also ran into some jealousy and I guess they were republican too. If you for one minute think there are not many many supporters of the democratic party that don't feel the same way you need to stay away from all that caffeine, it's affecting your judgement. I guess now it's Bush's job to bail out the mismanaged American auto industry. I just can't say it enough, the reason for the downfall is mismanagement. Read that as many times as it takes for you to understand. It's not republicans nor democrats, IT THE STUPID DECISIONS MADE BY THOSE IN CHARGE, IN DETROIT!!!! I don't want my tax dollars being spent on a failed business unless it would effect our national security. If Ford and GM can't fight their own way out, that's the way it goes. Gas prices are up and Toyota is still eating away at market share. Toyota owners pay the same amount for gas as the owners american vehicles do. Read that as many times as it takes too.
  12. good-bye-stl-hello-kc, I am not trying to tell anyone how to vote. I did tell everyone how I will vote. No political arguments will be won on this board. Those who choose their party do so for their own reasons. I am just trying to point out that the democratic party is not the UAW save all. I have asked, twice, what this party has done for the UAW in the past twenty years and have received non-response. Social issues are used by both sides, not just one party or there would not be such a storm over them. That is a two way street my friend. Again, my only option at this time is the republican party because the are the party that holds a more conservative view of the world. There would be no better time for a third and fourth party to emerge than now. With the country split about 50/50 they could stand a real chance at the polls. I see no one stepping up to the plate. Are not the transplants playing by the same rules as us? Are they eating up our market share? Yep, so your theory about the republican party will not hold true. It is not the democratic or republican parties fault for the decline of the american auto industry. It is bad management. PERIOD! What's with the CAPS, you yelling at me
  13. I'm not to partial to kool-aid, but will mix a drink of my own. Neither party cares about the UAW and it's workers. I do not agree with everything the republican party says or does. I am a conservative and unfortunately the republican party is my only option at this time. So, I vote for the republican party until there is a viable alternative. Is the republican party all sugar and spice and everything nice, not a chance, the democratic party is not either. You have judged the entire republican party from an incident that has left a bad taste in your mouth, so be it, your choice. If you feel the democrats have the UAW's interest at heart, I beg to differ. As I stated in an earlier post they could care less. They want the UAW's campaign money and the memberships votes. I ask you what has the democratic party done for the UAW in the past twenty years, nothing. This is not 1940, 50, 60, 70 or the 1980's. Things have changed and the union has not changed with the times. You blindly vote for the democrats because the UAW says so. Who's drinking the kool-aid?
  14. The democratic party cares for the working people, do you honestly believe that? They only care about those that will not work, even if able to do so. We, the members of the UAW, are not considered the working class by either party, anyways. However the democrats will tax your income at a higher level so they can redistribute wealth and give it to many who don't deserve one cent. If you want to give your money to the worthless waste of skin SOBs, have at it. I've had enough. I don't want my dues to go to anyone's campaign fund, I don't care which party. The union should be separate of any political movement. I voted for BUSH and will vote, in the upcoming November elections, on the conservative side. WHY? I will not sell out my principles for a corupt union or a couple of dollars.
  15. Here is the United States, our union, strongly suggests we vote for the democratic party. Being that the democratic party is politically correct, the non-union and anti-union work force also gets to enjoy the day so they don't get their feelings hurt.
  16. Can I get an AMEN...... You got two here. AMEN AMEN, Union says vote for the liberals so.... the sheep just follow along and make no effort to educate themselves in reality. What has the democratic party done for the union in the past 20 years. NADA, but you got NAFTA, you want it, you got it, go union. Liberals have an idealistic vision of the world, it's all fantasy, the world is not an idealistic place. I prefer to be a realist. It's been said many times and still holds true. BUILD IT THEY WILL COME, it really is that simple. It's a vast right wing conspiracy, the republican party has paid off those that hold key positions in Ford's design division. They want them to produce nothing appealing for the American consumer to get excited about. Gotta watch dem right wingers, there out to getch ya BOO!!!!
  17. It is, I have no reason to lie about it.
  18. Not posted by Mr. Lee, but a copy of an email from Mr. Lee.
  19. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Norfolk Team: During last week a number of discussions took place concerning our sales volumes for F-150s. As a result, a number of down-weeks were added to the schedule for Norfolk, Kansas City and Dearborn Truck Plant. Below is the current projected work schedule for the Norfolk Assembly Plant through the end of the year. This schedule was developed taking into account our new model launch timing, including the 1PP & 4 PP builds, balance out, and 2007 Job 2. A summary of the planned production schedule for the remainder of the year is below. Non-Production Weeks § September 11th –15th § September 18th – 22nd § September 25th – 29th § October 2nd-6th § October 9th-13th § November 6th-10th § November 13th-17th § November 20th-24th § December 18th-22nd One Shift Production Weeks · October 16th-20th · October 23rd-27th · October 30th-November 3rd · November 27th-December 1st · December 4th-8th · December 11th-15th I will send out a plant wide communication on Monday, August 21, 2006 with additional information. Further, I will share with you details on how we will operate during the one shift production weeks as soon as they are available. Joseph J. Lee Plant Manager Norfolk Assembly Plant FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FORD REDUCES NORTH AMERICAN VEHICLE PRODUCTION AS PART OF ACCELERATED ‘WAY FORWARD’ TURNAROUND · 21 percent fourth-quarter reduction is part of aggressive realignment of North American production – laying the groundwork for Ford’s accelerated Way Forward turnaround. · Bill Ford: “We know this decision will have a dramatic impact on our employees, as well as our suppliers. This is, however, the right call for our customers, our dealers and our long-term future.†· Further actions aimed at accelerating Ford’s turnaround will be announced in September. DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 18, 2006 – Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F] announced an aggressive reduction of North American production as part of its broader efforts to accelerate the pace of its Way Forward turnaround. The company said it is reducing North American fourth-quarter production by 21 percent – or 168,000 units – compared with the fourth quarter a year ago. The revised plan also reduces the company’s previously announced third-quarter plan by 20,000 units. Bill Ford, the company’s chairman and CEO, outlined the decision to cut production in a note to employees, explaining the decision is part of broader efforts to accelerate the company’s North American turnaround and saying full details of additional actions will be announced in September. “We know this decision will have a dramatic impact on our employees, as well as our suppliers,†Bill Ford told employees. “This is, however, the right call for our customers, our dealers and our long-term future.†For full-year 2006, Ford now plans to produce 3.048 million vehicles at its North American assembly plants – 1.134 million cars and 1.914 million trucks – a 9 percent reduction from 2005. The revised production plan is expected to sharply reduce the supply of several models and reduce pressure on sales incentives and dealer inventory carrying costs. The plan also reflects expectations for lower industry sales of light trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles, as high gasoline prices are expected to continue to encourage demand for more fuel-efficient passenger cars and crossovers. Mark Fields, executive vice president and Ford’s president of The Americas, said the “tough-but-important†reduction in production plans underscores the seriousness with which the company is approaching its North American turnaround. “We are basing our business plans on the customer, and we are determined to match production and inventories with consumer demand,†Fields said. “In doing so, we’ll reduce incentive spending and inventory carrying costs for our dealers – with the intent to improve residual values for our customers and stabilize operating patterns for our plants and our suppliers.†The revised 2006 production plan is summarized in the table below: 2006 Production Over/(Under) 2005 Cars Trucks Total Cars Trucks Total (000) (000) (000) (000) (000) (000) First Quarter 316 560 876 52 (84) (32) Second Quarter 328 569 897 34 (42) (8) Third Quarter 255 395 650 * 45 (123) (78) Fourth Quarter 235 390 625 (13) (155) (168) Full Year 1,134 1,914 3,048 118 (404) (286) *The previously announced third-quarter plan was 670,000 vehicles (255,000 cars and 415,000 trucks). The new production plan will result in downtime at several assembly plants between now and the end of the year, including: St. Thomas, Ontario (Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis), Chicago (Ford Five Hundred and Freestyle and Mercury Montego), Wixom, Mich. (Lincoln Town Car), Louisville, Ky. (Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer), Michigan Truck in Wayne, Mich. (Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator), Twin Cities, Minn. (Ford Ranger) and all F-Series truck plants (Kansas City, Mo.; Norfolk, Va., Dearborn and Kentucky Truck in Louisville). The following plants are expected to operate on straight time or overtime based on consumer demand: Hermosillo, Mexico (Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ), AutoAlliance International in Flat Rock, Mich. (Ford Mustang), Oakville, Ontario (Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX and Ford Freestar), Wayne, Mich. (Ford Focus), Kansas City, Mo. (Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner), Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake, Ohio (Ford Econoline) and Atlanta (Ford Taurus). # # # Aug. 18, 2006
  20. Seems we have a slight problem or should I say you have a problem. Which prediction do we put the most faith in, Nostradamus? Just put out some more rumors, you'll have more of a chance to be right, with one of them.
  21. William Clay has surrounded himself with defeatest and because of this, defeated he will be, plain and simple.
