  1. So does no one have any information, or does no one care to comment? PLEASE? Isn't 4 weeks on a quality hold, then getting caught in the the 2 week plant shutdown a little much? (my car has been built, and parked, sitting for 6 weeks) VOPC showed released th 9th. scheduled for delivery the week of of June 18th. If we treated U.S. Air. Delta, Continental, UPS, FedEx, America West, not to mentiontion the U.S. Army. Navy, Coast Guard, (we overhaul and maintain the T700's for their Blawkhawk and Apache helecopters at GE) like this, they would have pulled every engine out of our shop. We figure customers have the right to know what is going on with their equipment. I still can't get a straight answer from the dealer/dealers rep/dealers reps boss about what the quality hold hold is for, or even when it's going to be released, much less shipped This is the 5th. Ford I've purchased in 6 years, and If I can't get some answers, I am REALLY close to pulling the plug, ang going elswhere. (Maybe even to the dark side for an '08 Challenger) I do not mean to offend anyone hear (OK, maybe a few!) but I am an Airframe & Powerplant mechanic, with an Inspection Authorization, so I I know what it's like to work for a living. Since Afganistan and Iraq, I have been working 10 and 12 hour a day, 7 days week. I've been saving my O.T. to pay for my dream car, and I'm feeling just a little cranky The wife has a whole other list of words that apply to my attitude for the past few weeks....go figure.
  2. To any Ford quality Engineer/Exec. My GT has been on order since March 28th, built sometime before the 10th. of June. Scheduled for delivery the week of the 18th. Now, I find out it's been on "quality hold" Everyone reading this knows that Ford wants to ship and bill these units as soon as possible, and I cant blame you. Every day you hold them, the intrest meter is ticking. What bothers me at this point, is the quality issue must be serious to leave them on hold for this amount of time. I have not been able to find out what the quality hold is for, what is involved, or what the fix is. As a jet engine mechanic for General Electric holding an A&P with an FAA Inspection authorization, quality is very important to me. I expect to be informed the exact nature of the the quality hold affecting these cars, or I will be forced to refuse delevery on this vehical (you don't seem to comunincate with the dealers any better than customers) my email is joseph.steele@ae.ge.com Let me add I am a long time Ford customer, with this Mustang being number 6 in the last 5 years alone. I don't really want to go elswhere, but I am the one who writes the check, and the point is I CAN co elswhere. By the way, I am really PISSED to see photos on the the internet of virtual twins of my car. ordered 30-45 days AFTER I ordered mine. These Folks have theirs, ordered, or picked up off a lot......What gives?
  3. OK, posted in "keep the info flowing" also. Just got changed from "scheduled for production week of June 12th." to "locked in for production the week of June 12th, with scheduled delivery to dealer June 25th" I don't know exactly what it means, except for the fact I'm going to be totally worthless for the next three weeks. (Anyone want to share some Valium?) :bandance: :happy feet:
  4. I just called VOPC for the first time. "As of May 22nd, your unit is scheduled for production the week of June 12th" This is almost as bad as waiting for your kids to be born. I have held off on calling Ford to avoid wearing out my carpet from pacing. -------------------------------------- 1ZVHT82H575200510 Receipt Date: 3/28/2006 Serialize Date: 4/21/2006 Segment Date: Sequence Date: Blend Date: Produced Date: Gate Release Date: Ship Date: Arrival Date: Sold Date:
  5. Howdy Mr. Kzinti! Just thought I'd check back since you got my VIN# 1ZVHT82H575200510 a couple of weeks back. And one question for you, I know from the order confirmation that my order was put in as a priority 40. At this point would it help or not to try to got the priority moved up? Also, for anyone else out there: Since Ford decided not to offer a BOSS package, I decided to build my own on a Grabber Orange GT -premium. I've already got the CDC Shaker hood scoop, and am waiting for the FRPP PowerPac to come in (the same package Fords putting on the Hertz cars, adds about 30rwhp) The body shop Is getting my quote for the BOSS side stripes, and hood stripe. Since there is no actual BOSS out, would it be uncool to leave the BOSS logo at the top of the side stripes? Like an expectant father, I already have fine cigars on hand (Cuban Cohiba's, and no I can't tell you how they got here)
  6. I like it! I see what you mean about finding a line, it's got a lot of T&A for a stripe that high, but where you sketched it works. With the black reflective, what do you think of a gray or silver metalic to contrast with the blue and highlight the black? I am trying to figure out stripes for mine, too. (just ordered an 07 GT in Grabber orange this morning) :P As good as the "Boss" stripes would look, I'm thinking wide, black LeMans would also fit.
