The tearout is being ran by a complete moron, the people working over there call it a prison camp. He doesn't care what gets done he just wants to be a dictator. The manager wants it to be that way and says that the foreman is just holding his people accountable. He writes people up for the dumbest things and docks people for going to the restroom and wont give them an extra 5 min. to clean up before lunch. You have to put your tools away on your own time and stay on the job at the end day until quiting time. They add more contractors daily! The union says that there is nothing that they can do so get used to it and go by the rules! The contractors are telling the tearout crew that they put bids in to install new machinery and that the company told them that our trades will be running the machining areas and maintaining them. Is Lima getting new work? You Betcha!!

Doesn't sound like you are too much truth at Lima! 1st of all 2 of the vistors were salary and they weren't asking questions like that up and down the line. They were there to observe the crankline because it is identical to theirs. The team leaders are the ones who started asking them questions and got them fired up.
