  1. Not TESPHE! Pension. TESPHE is a 401k that is self funded. I can do whatever I want with that mone. I can take it out(with penalty and put it on black on the roulette wheel if I want) I am talking Pension! the money you get from ford when you are 55.
  2. The NESC says that I cannot move it over. I know the tesphe can but I want to do my pension before its too late
  3. Ok so I took the buyout in November and currently no longer work for FMC. I have my TESPHE still in the same account and plan to leave it there for now. My question is this. I have become 100% vested with the company meaning that I have aquired some pension, though very little. I would like to take that money now in a lump sum and roll it over to an IRA. With all of the talks of givebacks and the company not totally sure what the future holds I think I would rather have that money in my own IRA than count on it on top of my other 401k when I reach the right age. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. here you go furious. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/081202/cltu062.html?.v=101
  5. actually as part of the buyout you are eligible for the A plan for the rest of your life. I will continue to look at Ford first for my future auto needs, but if I find another American car that suits my needs better i will go with it.
  6. I just took the buyout this fall so I do not know the answer to this yet I suppose. But, as of right this minute I would say that I am totally happy with my decision. I am debt free and I do not have to deal with wondering if my job will still be here in the future. That I would say is the one thing I am most grateful of. I work hard everyday and all I ask for in the end is job security and I was not recieving the level of that I was looking for so I left to seek it. I hope noone has a bad story about leaving and everyone that stays achieves all their goals as well.
  7. Glad I am taking the buyout from KCAP. Good luck everyone at KC hope things turn around and you all are secure in your jobs for years to come.
  8. I called the hotline. And yes in fact I do keep my pension, you just cant retire on it for at least 23 months if you are that close. I only have 8 years in so I do not have a whole hell of a lot money but every little will help come retirement time. I have been 100% guaranteed of this info. by laborville and by the buyout hotline.
  9. yeah I found it thanks general. So you are sure that is guaranteed even if I take the STEP buyout? Also is it possible after I get to a new job and a new retirement, can I just have the money completely withdrawn from my retirement so I can invest it, or am I stuck with the monthly amount that is listed?
  10. I have an online account. Is that vested money mean the money I have in TESPHE? How do I know how much money I will recieve when I retire from Ford? Do I get any of the retirement that I have accured through the company or only what I invested myself through the tesphe account
  11. how many years to be vested?
  12. I have 8 years seniority and am thinking of taking the 100k buyout. I plan to do some work for several companies for 6 months until I hire on with my future and hopefully final company. I will have a retirement 401k through that company and I have some money in tesphe as well. I understand that once I take the buyout I lose all the retirement benefits that I have accured so far with the company. So what I basically want to know is if that means I have absolutely nothing except for the TESPHE money? I mean do I still have social security and such? I do not understand this much and would like to get a little clearer view. I am only 30 years old so I will still have time to accure plenty of money at my new job toward retirement but I just wanted to know what I am looking at and what to look for. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
  13. according to our local. (which means shit). They had a meeting last week with the powers that be and that the crew that they moved over to the SUV side, will return to the truck side on november 17th. So that means that KCAP will have 2 shifts building trucks, so do you think that they will also need 2 from DTP? I want some real answers soon. Iknow they want to keep things a little shaky so guys like me will sign up for the buyout(which just opened this week) but that is not going to work with me. We are told that to change the skillets or whatever you call them at DTP would cost too much money to change over to fit for the 8" box. People at DTP say that during christmas it will be done. I just wish that someone would step up and tell us what the hell is going on.
  14. because the General is a moron. He is the main catalyst in this KCAP vs. DTP debate. He always throws those backhanded remarks out there like that and then when someone lashes back he atomatically scolds them for making it a US vs THEM thing. Fuck that! I too have been told by many people that KCAP would add their shift back and DTP was done with the F-150. I even heard last week that the schedule has us tentavely scheduled for 2 saturdays in December. WHY, the fuck would DTP be the one to get a shift back? because of their awesome track record at launches?lol.Because they are centrally located and can ship anywhere in the US cheaper?no. The only thing you have is a god damn statue, whippee! We do agree on one thing and that is that DTP is probably the only plant that is NOT going to close. But it just makes more sense to change DTP to a new vehicle and leave KC alone. That plants livelyhood is based solely on the fact that they can change over to new products quickly. We will soon see IMO if they in fact can, because KCAP will be the only plant with the F-150 and will LIVE or DIE with it. Unfortunatly for us we dont have grass on our roof or a statue out front, so if F-150's flail anymore than they have, then in fact we may have to worry about closing the plant since we dont have our moms and dads in our backyards to clean up our shit!
  15. Rumor has it that they are going to add another shift of trucks back. It may only be the one they cut off a few months ago but then again you never know.
  16. Take care of your own problems we have more than we can count as it is.
  17. KCAP has been building the 2009 F-150's for about a month now, but as far as I know they are not released to the public due to the large amount of 08's still on lots. I do not know the exact release date sorry. I can tell you that we build the high end and all other trucks here and are running well now. and dtp, im sorry but there is no way you will be full speed in two weeks. It is not possible, you will sp end the f irst week building about 10 a day and the second trying to get up near 100. KCAP started job 1 on august 25th and we are still not FULL speed. We are at about 400 in a 8 hour shift. Any news on whats going to happen with the trucks? Still no news here at all, the newest rumor to swirl around is that we are going to be down sometime in October and maybe December.
  18. Now that we have off untill Tuesday was wanting to find out what everyone is experiencing and hearing around the plant.
  19. Don't count on it. The way this is going we could get a call about not comming in next week too.
  20. i stopped by the Hall this afternoon and they said we are returning next monday. I would bet that there will be more downtime to come this year, but no telling when. I hope there is no more, but shoot I make more sitting at home then going in.
  21. A friend of mine who is a millwright, said that they surveyed them and said that production would not be working the next 2 weeks (weeks of the 25th and 1st). He then said they backed off of that and said that the 25th is for sure and the 1st is a maybe. But in the tunnel it says that we are scheduled m-f 8hrs for next week. so I dont know what is true. They did not call last week until Friday so I expect they will call tomorrow
  22. we were supposed to, but expect a phone call tomorrow telling you to report on the 1st.
  23. so based on DTP's last launch they should be up and running about, what, 2017
  24. the change of start time is TRUE. Final area will start at 7am on manday the 25th. I do not know the reason but the time change is true. We will be on 5-8's for at least 4-6 weeks after we get back to get the stock situation. the rumor that I heard was the C crew was being removed but that it was in fact being sent back over to the truck side again and we would have 2 shifts over there again. The only reason they moved the shift over there was to pump out some cars and not have to lay anyone off. So there is another rumor to think about.
