  1. Great topic, If anyone has info about the Machine Repair trade there please post it as well.. Thanks!
  2. As a Ford employee, please accept my most sincere apologies. This is the kind of crap that is killing Ford Motor Company. I too have had some horrendous experiences with Ford dealerships (two of them to be exact). The dealerships are not part of Ford, but rather a sort of franchise run by independent owners. They should still be held accountable by Ford Motor Co., and the particular people who you have been dealing with should be publicly hanged in front of all other dealership owners/employees. Has anyone checked the turbocharger itself? I don't remember seeing it in your post, but the 6.0 has a variable vane turbocharger. If the vanes are not adjusting correctly, this could cause the low power/stall issues that you describe..... This may be a longshot, but do you have any international truck service centers in your area? You may try calling them since the PSD is an international engine. I don't know if they can do anything at all for you, and I have no idea how that works with Ford's warranty but it sounds like you have done everything else. Or, you may very well have a lemon law case. I'm not sure how that works but I'd be finding out if I were you! Good Luck.....
  3. WHOA!!!!! Hold on a minute!!! Trades were never given the option to flowback, apprentices were not even allowed to sign up as stated above..... And very few production people got the chance.... Flowback was put on hold almost as soon as it began because Ford started laying off people/closing plants and they had the right to transfer before we did as we were still working and they were not. Because we are....cough...cough.... all Ford employees. This was fair in my book, but we were NOT given that great of a chance to go anywhere! Nobody here screwed themselves. And as Pioneer said, we have been getting screwed since '99. I still remember sitting in a meeting where we were told that 'Visteon' was simply a name they were putting on the parts so Ford could try to sell parts to other companies (Namely Chrysler if I remember correctly). The rest, as they say, is history..... Yeah, look where that got us..
  4. Wait a minute.... He HASN'T been drinking all along??!!?!?!?
  5. Ah, thanks. That was how I figured it worked. Just needed clarification.
  6. Let me see if I understand this: June eligible people will get a pro-rated amount of their vacation that they would have gotten next June? I have about 2 weeks left from last June, I'm pretty sure I get that. I wasn't sure if we got any that we would have gotten next time around.
  7. I have been told they will pay you for anything they still owe you for (Vacation/FF that is still listed on your check). I'm not sure if you accrue anything until your eligibility date though. I would assume not, since you couldn't use it before June anyway.
  8. ^^^^ There you have it.... That's about the best answer you're going to get.....
  9. An excellent question... aren't they still doing fairly extensive work to the roof as well?
  10. Indianapolis makes steering components, and we are ACH. Power steering pumps, rack and pinion gears and RV gears (heavy truck). We still make some steering columns, but that work is going away.
