Dude get a life we only had 14 days in st. louis to take a buyout and only 3 days to decide to transfer that is fords way it is not going to change so shit or get off the pot

They are asking for names in kc for hiring family, friends ,ect but are not talking about flowback or transfers into the plant just thinking this could be a ploy to force us out on strike and replace us permanently or force us to accept the 2 tier systems!!!!!

Are we the UAW being setup by Ford Motor Company? I understand that Ford must make the appropriate cuts and moves. But think of this. If the UAW supports the current buyouts and then allows Ford Motor to hire temporary workers until they can get it done, is Ford training our own replacement workers if the UAW cannot reach an agreement next September?

when you take the SRI you retire under the current contract they cannot renegotiate for retirees for raises they could include for you any christmas bonus ect but that is it. but as far as a guarantee there is no such thing, you retiree with that amount, but as we may see with delphi they could go to court and if the republican controlled courts allow it they can do away with all of our retirement it is always a threat to us.

dave I wish all these nay sayers could stand in your shoes for 1 day and see the decision that union leadership has to make. we have everyones lives in our hands and that cannot be done without there support. hey dirty chairman was right read your contract before you spout off to much everyone must meet a sub obligation before they go in tp gen which must be 48 weeks of layyoff before you go in to gen that includes any time on layoff and any vacation during the life of the agreement

A job that is red circled is gone when they red circle a job they keep who ever is on that job but if they leave the job will just go away it will not and I mean will not filled they will just distribute the work to other people. at slap they red circled our oilers and powerhouse people and they are gone but then again so are we lol

It will not be pretty for all the folks in atlanta just went through it in st. louis it took about 5-6 days to empty the plant the mood from the people leaving was very somber. what we did as the last unit past your station we cleaned up and then was released to go home. naturally we had the privlage of saying good by to alot of friends that in most part you have spent most of your time with probably more than your family. bad thing about it is most of the people you will never see again and wish later that you would have. tears of joy and tears of the unknown flyed freely throughout the plant. for me probably the saddes day i hope i ever see. I have transfered to kcap and all i can say is i have a job it was no different than starting over we are treated very good but even with senority we all started in trim on bad jobs so be prepared to get r done if you transfer I wish everyone that is getting to go through the same thing to embrace your friendship as they mean more than your job they will last forever. Yes you can take a job while you go to school. you should recieve you first payment within 30 days of seperation from the company you are mandated to take 12 credit hours per year and they will pay up to 15k for schooling and you must hold a c average if you dont you will automaticlly revert back to the 100k buy out minus any monies used for school and direct payments 25k plus benies. If you only go to school for 1 or 2 years you will recieve the remaing monies from the 1ook but I dont think you will be considered for the placement program.

Brothers and sisters I just left a plant and local union that has closed and you all have to stop and take a long look at what really is going on and quit getting caught up in the rumor b… sh..t that goes on daily in our locations. I my self am very proud of our local union leadership for what they have done for every member at our assembly plant. They kept everyone informed with what they new ( and trust me you just think they know everything but they don’t) and advised everyone exactly what was going to happen and when it would happen including advance notice on our closing before the press got it. The company will always continue to keep the union ranks at odds and make you believe that the union is not telling you the truth. And you ask why would they do that very simple the more time we are fighting or arguing about what somebody’s is saying the less time we have to worry about how the company is cutting and adding work to our jobs they keep us off guard so they can keep full control. Everyone need to just take a hard look at the way the company manipulates our membership to see the truth remember you work for ford motor company not the UAW. ford motor company cuts your check and they make the rules if we as a union do not stick together and quit listening to all the rumors we all will indeed be gone union or not. If all of you that want to continue to bash your union run for the office I have and trust me dealing with assholes all day that want to do nothing but bitch about rumors that they heard from a friend of a friend is bs and there is no way anyone could answer that without a crystal ball. This month everyone will now what’s going on and then everyone can make a choice and I as a good union person hope that everyone here that bashes the union please do us all a favor and tell them to cut that check we don’t want you or need you in this union anyway!!!!!!!!!
