  1. SKILLED TRADES outside make 2.30 to 5.00 more per hour, and have better benifits and retirement. also just a note GM trades also make more hourly.
  2. its just a last ditch effort to try to save their jobs, they know they havent done their jobs, but they want to act like its not their fault,blame the company and try to get re-elected. fat chance

If your in skilled trades and you go to production in the future then you are the future in the language. If they wanted skilled trades the way you say the language would have said all future skilled trades assigned to production would maintain there rate of pay. if you are currently classifed something other than a trade you will not. if you get sent to production after the modification you will keep your rate.until to bid to a classified job then you will receive that pay rate. the question is where did you get your info. please call the IUAW ask for chris visicomi the skilled trades rep he will verify this and answer any questions you may have.

As like GM the effected tradesperson will take their rate of pay when a reduction in their classification results in that person being moved to production to prevent them from being layed off to the street. This means when they are assigned to plantwide labor pool. When that person bids on a job such as inspection, material handling, etc. they assume that rate of pay. So they put you on a hard job you bid off. and they win, they are no longer paying the rate, and they have a trades person off the rolls. so they get what they want.
  6. I just got a laugh. If you think a production job is a more difficult duty, you are a dumb ass. Lets see they allow you about 3 days to learn your job. It takes 8 years to even be considered for mine. Its good to know that now if i get layed off i can have your job.
  7. That is correct, vote no on this modification. We have given all we can. I for one will not help finance Gettlefinger's retirement. He has sold us out. He said during the bailouts that congress wanted to break the union. Now he wants to. VOTE NO.
  8. Look the only vote we can give is a NO vote. these are the same promises they made before, they said they would not be back 6 months later their back. We must send a message to them that say we have no more to give. The changes to skilled trades will help eliminate 40% or more of our trades. We hurt the new hires. and maybe we get 1000.00 if they make their goals. come on people wake up. Next the company will want our first born to work for free and the union will say its ok. Well I say enough is enough. Give up your right to strike give up your bargining power what little is left just vote no.

  14. it is true these were just painted for oakville.division needed them for some tests. the cranes have not been installing new equipment in suv paint. they have been working on heating and cooling and pump systems over central and the suv ecoat.
  15. I have said nothing about the new contract, only that this happened under the 2003 contract and about the form that was signed by the employee ,uaw and ford. I saw read what they signed. Did you?
