Ours is a 1.6 and we really like it so far. Put about 200 miles on it today and so far I am very impressed. Car drives well, has a good solid feel and so far the MFT is working with no problems. the 1.6 has plenty of power as far as I am concerned.

Ordered in March, built on June 5th, arrived at he dealership today. Taking delivery on Saturday.

We ordered in March. We knew it would be a wait as production had not started yet. We just did not plan on it setting at the factory for two months.

My wife's Escape sat at L.A.P. for eight weeks before it was shipped. It was held and repaired as part of the carpet pad/trim recall. A Ford Cust. Service rep. told me that it took so long to ship because the factory had a huge backlog of repaired Escapes to ship along with the Escapes that factory keeps producing.

Our car that was produced June 5th and held because of the recalls is finally shipped. ETA is August 16th. It has been a long wait. Hopefully the car was worth waiting for.

We have heard so many reasons why this car has not shipped in the past two months that we are not sure what to believe. The Ford Rep., told us he would put it in for expedited shipping and put it on the hot list. The owner of the dealership we purchased from told us that the shippers normally do not pay any attention to that. They ship it when they are ready to ship it. No ETA on it from Ford. Hopefully I am being overly pessimistic on when we will see it.

My wife's car has been sitting at L.A.P. since the 5th of June. In talking with a Ford Cust. Service Rep., the car is okay to ship, but is sitting with hundreds of other Escapes that were held for repair. Now they have a big mess in trying to ship out all the held Escapes plus all of the Escapes the plant keeps producing. Figuring on another two months before we see it.
