It'd be nice if Ford can get its act together on something lol.
To come to Ford's defense, a bit, there's a corresponding article on this in today's Detroit News (behind paywall). It was mentioned that several suppliers for the cancelled Oakville 3-row BEV were especially disgruntled. I'm sure their sour grapes carried over into this survey.

The latest supplier index came out, and Ford's score continue to decline, while Toyota, Honda and GM scores rose. This is absolutely unacceptable. No wonder they have such pitiful quality scores.
Here's a link to today's Autoline Daily. Go to the 5:59 mark:

From today's Autoline Daily. The Ram BEV has been pushed back to 2027. The extended range version has been pushed back too. Go to the 1:50 mark.

...... Wonder what’s behind the Colorado delay?
Seems to be a growing trend among many automakers to extend the lives of their vehicle platforms. The longer you make a certain platform (e.g. Panther) the more money you make.

Back when they changed their print version to bi-weekly I said they had to change their name to AutoEveryOtherWeek……
Is there still a print version? I really liked it back in the early 2000s.
Not any more. The print version went away in 2019.
At a time, I subscribed to all car magazines. I eventually let all of the subscriptions lapse, but Autoweek, which I kept.

Did wind cause the accident? Wasn’t aware Yugo were especially vulnerable, at least more so than most light cars......
Most likely. Winds were in the 35 mph range with higher gusts. The Mackinac Bridge Authority is adamant that winds did not cause the accident, but an eye-witness said the wind blew her Yugo off the bridge like it was a piece of paper. This accident was a real big deal in Michigan for several years. The topic still comes up on occasion.

Were the metal gratings only in the middle? I couldn't remember for sure. I've blocked most of that out of my memory. 😄
Yeah, the right lanes, both way, are paved.
What's freaky is to look down while on the gratings. You can clearly see the water.

I thought I would hate it but I didn’t have a problem with it at all so long as I stayed out of the middle lanes
Yep, stay off the center metal gratings, and you're okay.
Living in the U.P. in the 70's and 80's, I've probably traveled over that bridge more than 100 times.

My brother-in-law and his buddies worked in Engine Engineering and would regularly monitor BON. All are retired now. They never posted anything to this site.

I hope this new version does better in crosswinds than the original one.

It's not just California. Depending on how you define it, between 14-17 states, and the District of Colombia, follow the California standards.

Don't underestimate the influence of the investment community. They can make a company do things it normally wouldn't (like spending billions on unproven EV's). If investors sour on a company's CEO, they can get the CEO fired. Look at Toyota's Akio Toyoda who was forced out as CEO because the investment community didn't agree with is thoughts on BEV and ICE's.

Overall EV market share in the U.S. for March declined to 6.8%.

My brother owned a Pantera for a bit back in the 70's. I drove it once. Unfortunately, it'd overheat in traffic. But it was a babe-magnet.

I remember first time I had to figure out crank windows, back in '94 in high school.......
My '94 F-150 has crank windows. Young people get a big kick out of that, and the vent windows.

I think you're both missing the point. These are how 20-year olds, from outside the U.S., view a future Mustang. And notice how this design exercise was run by Ford's operations in Shanghai, not Dearborn. As the original Mustang-generation (me) fades into the sunset, the next generation will have their own ideas on how it should look. Some interesting ideas here.

Ask 25 students from 22 art schools in China, Germany, etc. to create a Mustang concept, and this is what you get.

these vehicles put off massive Ford vibes. Is there anything Ford can do to prevent that from happening?
Probably not, but a few years back, some Chinese company put out a F-150 ripoff that could have fooled most Ford truck fans. Ford complained, and that vehicle mysteriously vanished.

I kinda like this. The long hood reminds me of some of the 1930's classics.

Already have a thread on this:

Dimensions look much closer to Ranger with the larger bed. And those 2 seat Rangers were very practical. I had 2.
My first brand new truck. 1984 Ranger 4x4, standard cab, 2.8 L V6 with 5-speed manual tranny. Dark grey with red interior. Man I wish I kept that truck.

Agreed. A lot of Ford truck styling in that vehicle.

Ditto with our Bronco Sport. Even after four years of ownership, this thing is a joy to drive.
