  3. So this chick wants everyone else to do their job and blames THEM because Bruce Yates won't do his?? She's sounding like him! Always a reason why its someone elses fault! Lady the guy isn't doing his job! He don't stay in the plant, he don't answer when you page him, he always has to check with Nick or says its (insert name)'s fault. He's a piece of crap! I heard he ran away from Donovan he was so scared! What a beeyach! Ran crying to labor relations! And this is the rep you think is so great? Gimme a break! Ask some of the folks in paint about him. Ask about how he lied to get a "endorsement letter". Ask around how many people he "filed" grievances for and didn't really file them. Or there out of time. For chrissakes hes a bargainign commiteeman and he can't even get jobs filled? If he can't get this done who are the regular commiteemen supposed to ask for help from? Isn't he supposed to back them up? Weak weak weak weak. And a friggin liar on top of it all.

  5. Seniority is seniority. If Spring had more time she should get the job and thats it. I don't get why these guys are ignoring seniority. Looks like they have an ax to grind and don't care about being right.
  6. What's going on with our union? I was at the meeting today when Jerry asked about stock drivers bumping days by seniority and Nick said they couldn't do it. Then Jerry said he knew that Mike had made the agreement with the company that they could. Nick said that he decided that they couldn't bump. WTF?! Now our chairman is going against seniority? I don't care how you try and spin it it is just plain wrong! I got another question. How long is temporary? I know when I worked in the econoline unit before this consolidation that temporary was 90 days but some other folks brought up how some people have been on jobs temporary since we consolidated! Hell, one lady even stood up and told us she was temporary in the garage and she's complaining because they don't work her by seniority on the weekends. Just remember this crap when they come around asking for your vote in a couple of months. The garage is Mike Pishone's area. Seems like he can't handle his area, don't it?
  7. Does anybody know who this Robert Gonzalez guy is? I saw his shirts on a couple of people and all they could tell me was he's some guy from Lorain who used to be Health and Safety or a backup or something. Anybody know the story?
  8. You just proved my point! And what does any of this have to do with the problems in the plant? You need to put aside your personal problems with people and start looking at what its going to take to fix the problems.
  9. I thought Nick told us at a union meeting that he didn't have any family working here. If we want to talk about families then lets look at the families we got. We got Donovans, Halls, Galloglies, Penas - oh wait, we're down to one on that. Thats all crap. So people are related - big deal. Half the plant is related to one another - who cares? Looks like thats only used to distract people from the real issues in the plant and we have some real issues. Geek - its pretty clear whos camp your in so when you bitch you kinda lose credibility because you've got a agenda too. I got to agree with some of the posts here about the job bids. Its bad no matter what area your in. Jobs arent being bid they are filled with some one temporary. Only temporary seems to be pretty permanent. Then if you do get the job bid you can't get released to go on the job. Then with these bogus lateral moves you got people picking there jobs and if they are friends with the supervisor or union rep they get it. Geek - you might not think this is a issue since your a appointed person but to us guys on the line its a real issue. After all aren't you guys supposed to be representing us instead of screwing us?

  14. Are we having another election for bargaining? I haven't heard anything and no one seems to know anything. I've read about the international negotiations but what's up with the local? Are we going to get any info?
  15. Jimmie Hall has been replacing Fred. How soon can they get an election? Does anybody know? I think the union should let us know what the deal is but I'm not holding my breath on that. And if they do get an election then what? What are we going to be faced with? The same old lying politicians that promise us everything and deliver nothing? Someone trying to keep the us/them war going? We need new blood in there. Someone who will do right by the people. God knows we probably can't get any worse than is and has been in office right now and in the past. Or does it even matter anymore?
  16. Has anybody heard what happened with that appeal thing that Mr. Donovan was working on? I heard there was some sort of meeting or hearing or something. Did that already happen? Whats going to happen now?
  17. Like you, I'm not on one side or the other. Just want to keep working. I agree with a lot of what you said but you kind of look like you've got a agenda to. You obviously have a problem with Mary and basicly what your saying is that Jerry and Tom can't get elected because of her. What is her agenda? If we don't care what people are doing like you said about Fred, Jerry and Nick then you shouldn't care about who Tom is married to. I don't know Mary or Jerry real well just to say hi and they have always been real nice and friendly. I don't know who has a agenda or anything in this plant. I kind of think that the only agenda right now is to keep working. Who do you think can do the job? Can Nick? Can Jerry? Can Mike? Can Tom? Can Mary? Remember we are keeping personalities out of it and not whether we like them or not. I agree that we need to elect people that are going to do the job. We seem to have a lot of people that can't or won't do the job. Lets also look at how many times some people have been elected and still can't or won't do the job and lets look at some new people that could do the job.

Who? How does Bucktooth know how much Amy made? Anyway, what the hell does any of that have to do with the shit going down in the plant?

How the hell did Amy make that kind of money? What does she do anyway? Is that what all those reps make? And I'm still waiting to find out what this caucus is all about. Does anyone still have any caucuses anymore? I didn't think anyone did. The biggest issue is what is going on here at the plant and what is going to happen to us. Are we in the shitter or can we pull through? Is there anyway to fix things? Do we have enough time and do we have anybody who can help us or show us how to do it?
  20. What caucus are you talking about? What's the deal with Yates telling people that we are closing and only have a couple of weeks to turn this around? Is he just giving up? Isn't he supposed to be representing us? If anything were to happen to Nick wouldn't he be the guy who replaces him? Does the union have any kind of plan to keep us going? Or any information on what's going on? Or are they just going to give up and look out for themselves as usual? Don't anybody tell me that there isn't anything that they can do because I'm not buying that. There has to be something they can do. Manangement and the union should be working together because everyone's jobs are on the line. There aren't enough plants that are going to be left open for management or the hourly workers to transfer to so everyone needs to be pretty worried and doing all they can to make sure things go the way they're supposed to. Just my thoughts on this matter.
  21. Then we'll agree to have different opinions on this. I've read your posts and you seem like a pretty smart person. I'm glad that you're supportive of Nick. Like I said, I like him and used to work with him. I just think he should be doing more.
  22. I was asking in the context if he is successful in this appeal. The way I understand it is that if this appeal goes through that they'll have to put it back to two units and have another election. I don't know exactly how that's going to work with the structure. Listen, I like Nick and have worked on the line with him. But I know how it was with Jerry, too. Jerry didn't wait around for the company to do things, he made things happen. Do you really think any of our plant managers actively looked for products for this plant? Jerry did. He also came out on the floor and told us what he was doing. Jerry really tried to keep things going to protect our jobs. Sorry but I'm just not seeing that from Nick. He's got a young structure? How long has Nick been in office? How long was he a BC? How long has Yates been in office? How long as a BC? Pena? This is his second or third term as a BC, isn't it? Shouldn't he have some experience by now? Mike is new as a BC, granted. What about the committeemen? Triplett? Flash? Escandon? Ladikos? Piscione? You might have a few new faces on the floor but they've been in at least a year and should have started getting a handle on things. How much time do you think these guys need? If the rumors are correct, we've only got between 4 and 18 months. Do we give the benefit of the doubt when we're in the unemployment line? Hope that by some miracle that things will get better? If we aren't in charge of our own destiny then aren't we just doomed to become victims of circumstance? Do you think that management is going to willingly step up to the line and do anything to make things better? Not unless someone kicks them in the ass! It's good to support your chairman but after a year of this you've got to say enoughs enough and draw the line. I've read your posts and you've stated how you've made sure that your ass is covered if something happens (I commend you on this). The hourly folks voted for these guys to protect our rights and jobs and if we don't feel they're doing a good job we need to tell them that. I just feel that they should be doing more. Personally, I don't think they're doing much of anything. Someone said it was like we were just treading water and I got to agree. Sooner or later, at this rate, we're going to sink.
  23. Hemmer1 if you're talking to Jerry ask him if this plant can be saved. We're in pretty deep shit with this management that we've got here. There's some good guys but there's also a lot of crap. I'm hearing that we might only have 4 months and then I'm hearing that we might be gone in 18 months. Will we have enough time to turn this around? There's some of out there that want to stay and want to keep our jobs. We just need some help from the union. This union that we've got is worse than anything I ever saw. Combine that with the management and we're really screwed! No direction at all. Nick isn't doing anything and neither is Mona. I'd like to know if anybody is really running this plant or if they're all trying to just find themselves a soft spot to land (Nick getting an appointed job and management getting transfers). It just seems like nobody cares about the folks on the line trying to make this actually work. If anyone can get this message to Jerry and ask him what is going to happen that would be great. I really think he might be the only one who can get us out of this mess. And does anyone know who this bucktooth idiot is? What is he? One of the good ole boys who didn't get elected and is still pissed off about it? Buddy, get over yourself already? Lemme guess, Kruse, Pena, Cooper and Baire are your heros, right? What a loser! Does Kruse really think that he can come back to this plant and to maintenance and nobody is going to say anything? Or is he coming back to try to kill us off and finish the job?
