  1. Machining specialist, this classification is only at Dearborn tool&die and R&E center, not maumee. Need to check ford skilled trades agreement, pg. 12b appendix f and pg. 342c. maumee has or had tmo, tool machine operator, mills, lathes and grinders. machining specialist operates a 5 axis milling machines which are only at the above locations.
  2. please let us know if you hear anything about skilled trades. thanks
  3. just wanted to know how many tool and diemakers/ diemakers are layed off?
  4. the uaw negotiators had nothing to do with keeping rawsonville and sterling. ford could not sell or outsource these companys or products anywhere and are stuck with them for four more years.no other company can or want to make the parts that these two plants make for the money they charge.
  5. are they closing rawsonville?
  6. maybe its going to be a non-core, $14hr.....
  7. Ford will let us all know the rest of the plants slated for closure. my guess is that rawsonville will be one of the parts plants to close, what else is left? and what about the remaining assy. plants to close? Also heard that they may keep the Ypsilanti (ach) plant open, they make starters and coils?
  8. how is everything going at rawsonville? heard they put more in gen pool, how many total? production/trades. also are they getting new products, or any good news?
  9. well the union is letting chrysler and cherry a auto company from china work together, or i should say let cherry build it and put a chrysler name on it. sounds great huh?? not....
  10. whats up at the ville?? we here at ypsi are sending 8 trades to rawsonville soon, 1 tool&die, 2 machinist 1 hyd. 1 mach. rep and 1 garage mechanic not sure of the others. what can we expect when we come there as if i need to ask.
  11. just take a look around the parking lot at work, take a look at what the old farts (30+years) are driving... hint..... not a new car..
  12. would that be the import made in ohio?
  13. cut are pay 20%, but don't forget to give the white collar the big bonus checks...
  14. ok, so GM, Ford and now DCX cutting jobs, how come we don't see the top dogs ( ceo's cfo's whatever) taking there pay cuts, and how come the mainstream media can't see this and report it. it's always the uaw make so much money?????
  15. i agree, i would never buy a ford again if i lose my job. thats just me. and don't forget chrysler is owned by the germans, not usa.
  16. if you are put on "ILO" would you get sub-pay and unemployment? and how long would this last? i guess i am asking are you guaranteed to get payed until the end of the contract? thanks for any answers.
  17. at the ypsilanti plant we also have a tuesday meeting, however, it is a voluntary meeting.
