  1. if we go to national health care. where does all the money we are saving the big 3 go. just curious.
  2. haven't seen any of those colors yet. but was told they adding new colors. but we dont know when.
  3. i work in paint at ktp and we are running the yellow paint on some trucks. but i dont know if they are the amirillo option but they are the same color. they call it screaming yellow. hope this helps
  4. He has removed his pictures and comments from the forum. His comments about the truck and the process of removing the cab for a fuel pump replacement is what got me. All he needed to do was explain that with experience the process should take less time and that all repairs did not need cab removal. I agree with your comments, I just get tired of the negatives from the people who just want to slam these trucks just for kicks.
  5. The point I was trying to make was that alot of these trucks are pulling fifth-wheels. These trailers are getting bigger and heavier which makes Ford trucks a perfect fit. Some of these people know a little bit about trucks most do not, they just want the newest, biggest, best truck on the market. When the 08 was about to hit the market the forum was busy, who was going to be the first, what options, money did not matter, these people are retired and live in these trailers on the road. They do not want a truck that is not going to be reliable, cross country is their way of life, not sitting and waiting for a truck to be repaired. So showing constant photos, web links of Ford trucks with possible problems, especially from Ford dealers, is not very appealing to a potential customer. You may be able to overlook this, a 60-70 year old retired couple traveling will not, I don't care how brand loyal you are, that is my point. I am not trying to start any trouble just trying to point out this is part of the problem. Word of mouth can be your worst enemy if it is not in your favor, and it is not fully explained.
  6. Showing this to potential buyers who are not aware that this procedure is easier and quicker fix are stating that this is not the kind of problem they want with their new truck. That Ford has built another truck that the techs are going to have problems fixing just like the 6.0. That is the problem, The truck is getting a bad rep. for no reason. Some people will look for anything just to slam Ford and their products. All it takes is a little seed of doubt and you have lost a customer.
  7. http://www.f150online.com/forums/showthrea...247#post2637247 This guy works for a dealership, his pictures are being posted all over the net. I found this on an RV forum. It doesn't explain how the truck got to this condtion or what the problem is, it sure has the RV forum talking about buying other brands if they have to pull the cabs off to do engine work. This is part of the problem with Ford's reputation, I thought some of the dealers would be a little loyal to the hand that feeds them. I guess not. I think the boss needs to look at the dealers a little closer, seems they still are causing a few problems.
  8. Don't really know if I touched your truck, but I appreciate the Thank You. Hope you get many years of enjoyment out of your truck, they are beasts.
  9. Hi, I would like to add my two cents. First this is 289hipo wife so don't bash him when he gets on here. My family {father} has been with Ford for 43 years, now my husband is currently employed there. We have been a brand loyal family from day one. I do agree with some of the above posts but I also blame Fords Dealers and their mistreatment of the customers, dishonesty, and unablity to fix or unwilliness to correct problems that occur with a customer. This leaves a customer feeling cheated and the blame goes completely to Ford, so the bashing begins. Every minor issue that appears in the vehicle will add to the aggrevation they have already felt til they had enough without anything been done to correct the problems, they get rid of the vehicle, and purchase a different brand. Telling everybody within earshot what a pos their Ford was and how nothing was done to help them. I know this for a fact, I have one of these vehicles in my driveway. I am Ford loyal, I know that the Dealer is responsible for this, is was a used vehicle, within 6 months of purchase I have had, new transmission, rear-end rebuild, new computer install, stalling out {still not fixed} when cold passenger door will not close, some of these issues where also previous owner issues that same dealer could not or would not fix, car fax showed nothing, point is contacted Ford consumer line never returned our calls, so no help from our own company, called Ford lawyers, no help, conflict of interest, uaw dealership, outside lawyers, no help, lemon law dosen't help used vehicles. Would I buy another Ford? YES I would but never from this crooked dealer this is where Ford needs to look also and get a handle on the treatment of what is left of their customers, if my family was not employed there I probably would have already walked away from the Ford products after this last experience.
  10. Ford trucks work behind the scenes in Tundra commercial Toyota challenges pickup brand loyalty By Robert Schoenberger rschoenberger@courier-journal.com The Courier-Journal It's one of the most dramatic commercials for Toyota Motor Co.'s redesigned Tundra pickup. A truck drives up a steep seesaw, towing a heavy load and is able to stop on the way down, despite the extra weight. Toyota is so proud of the commercial that it posted behind-the-scenes footage on its Web site. That's where eagle-eyed Ford Motor Co. fans noticed something. Trucks seen in the background of the job site, used by workers to build the massive commercial set, are Fords. The first truck visible in the video is a Ranger pickup with a camper shell on it. The next is a Louisville-built F-Series Super Duty truck. As the video's director watches to see if the Tundra will be able to stop, the truck in the background is another Super Duty. "It doesn't surprise us," Ford spokesman Wes Sherwood said. "It's another example of how Ford trucks are ingrained into every work site in America." Toyota officials did not return calls seeking comment. The background issues underscore the challenge that Toyota faces in launching a truck in a market dominated by Ford and General Motors. The new Toyota truck has power and features similar to Ford and GM models, but analysts said buyers of full-size pickups are extremely brand loyal, and Toyota will have a tough time getting them to switch. Last year, Mark Fields, Ford's president of the Americas, underscored that issue by driving by the San Antonio, Texas, site where, at the time, Toyota was finishing the plant that builds the new Tundra. As Fields pointed out on a video at a Ford-run Web site, many of the trucks on the job site were Fords. Toyota also makes the Tundra at its plant in Princeton, Ind. 12. Kahne drove for RYR before going to Dodge. Just think of the money they could be making on merchandise from this guy if they held on to him.
  13. Excuse me, are you talking Ford Dealers or Ford Motor Co. I work for Ford Motor, My father in law just retired with 43 years at Ford and I have to say I have been treated decent. If you are talking Dealers that is a different story. Don't confuse the two. I have my grudges against Ford dealers. As for the sludge, the man that rents the apartment over my wifes shop had a camry with the sludge, he does take care of his vehicles, he was told by Toyota sorry about your luck. He is now going after them with all this new info. coming to light. Hope he cleans their clock. Yea Corporate greed is gonna get Toyota from the looks of the headlines in the papers, most of the employees are Americans who think they have beat the BIG 3 and deserve their share and now Toyota wants to look at wages costs and hold em down. EXCUSE ME if it wasn't for them they wouldn't be raking in all that dough.
