rumor at MTP...we are going down to one shift in March, then losing both of our vehicles sometime in the future and becoming a warehouse for Wayne Assembly

I am not personally considering the buyout, but I work with someone who is, and doesn't belong to this forum. She wants to get a job as a teacher, but she has some schooling to finish, first, so she would have to find something in the interim...btw does anyone know which state has the lowest unemployment rate and/or which state is best for someone who wishes to relocate and start over (unskilled person...another co-worker of mine)?

Does anyone know if you take a buyout and can't find a job right away, are you eligible to collect unemployment (in Michigan) and if so, for how long?

I mean this much is for certain all plants that are ACH will either be sold or close/idled ASAP so don't expect good news. it's all part of the way foward. please excuse my ignorance...but what does ACH stand for?
