  1. I would guess all of you have seen the stupid ad where the Tundra pulls a trailer up a steep grade (a 'see-saw'), and then barrels down hill and locks the brakes up just before the end of the ramp. Seen it? Yeah you have. Couple things to keep in mind. The V.O. at the beginning of the spot says...."It's tough pushing 10,000 lbs up a steep grade". Myth: Toyota would like the audience to believe the trailer is 10,000 lbs. Fact: It's a 5,000 lb truck pulling a 5,000 lb trailer. A little slight of hand? You bet. Then, on the way down the grade, the camera zooms in on the brakes as the vehicles comes to a screeching halt just prior to the end of ramp. Next time you see the ad....look for the 'mice type'. It indicates the trailer is equipped with electric brakes. Fact....the electric brakes stop the trailer -- not the truck. A little slight of hand? You bet. And why does Toyota have bigger brake pads? They need them....their truck is heavier. Stopping distance between our truck and theirs is virtually identical. And why does Toyota have a 6 speed transmission? To improve their fuel economy....which is still 2 mpg less than ours. And don't forget....their big V8 has one axle ratio -- a 4.3. Suck fuel much? Our trucks offer several axle options to optimize towing and fuel economy. Bottom line: OUR TRUCK IS BETTER! Spread the word.......we can all make a difference

  3. Take the truck back to the dealer tell them you want the balance and roadforce checked and if it is off they will re index the tires. The max roadforce is 24 and if the tires were not matchmarked (Green sticker on wheel and red dot on tire) correctly it could cause vibrations or nibble
  4. NO 4 10's it's going to be 5 10's with no tag relief that is gone and not an option which was said in the meeting.
  5. I was in a meeting today and they said 980 production 220 skilled trades needed for one shift and 325 to go to WAP, 10 hrs 5 days by june.
  6. I would accept a wage cut and i would even go as far as to give them a bonus..! Yep that's right, cut my wages and get 2 new cars back to try and re-sell...lmao
  7. Tire room isn't going anywhere anytime soon, they are putting a new silo in over shutdown for 22" wheels and there isn't anywhere else for ford to have the tires built up and shipped to the plant , ITW is out of business and dearborn can barely build their own shit let alone build ours plus they would have to sink a ton of money into the docks in the tire room in order to run the prebuilt assy's.
  8. They got rid of the caffeteria @ Michigan truck in november of 06.
  9. Nuff said and the quitters will we wishing they stayed..!
  10. It will be funny to see how many people wil ratify their COA for a $500.00 dollar bonus which is actually about $280.00 after taxes. Some people will do anything for a couple of bucks.
  11. Fought and died for has more than one meaning it could mean "fought in a war and died for your country" or it could mean " fought for what you believe in untill you die" and you obviously are not a union member or even a ford worker but wish you were so why do you bother even being on this site nobody wants to hear your stupidity and definition of someones worth, you are a dumbfuck nuff said..!
  12. That is what i have been saying all along WE HAVE GIVEN ENOUGH..! We are getting nothing in return and the fact they told TFT's to vote yes or they woulnd't have a job is bullshit..! they will be voting on our future and our livelyhood not theirs they will be gone in march reguardless and i was always told by union reps and many older brothers and sisters that you RESPECT and TAKE PRIDE in what we fought and died for and now this Company/Union wants us to give it all back with no guarantees or anything..? Not BY MY ASS I will go out of my way to make sure i am there to vote NO on that day.
  13. I don't know how you knew but they are canceling the vote until further notice.? I wonder Why.?
  14. WOW, it must have been really hard for your parents i feel for them with the job loss and all but did they have any kids that lived..! SO sad.
  15. How do you know that.? We were told ktp is next today.!
  16. I had someone call the union hall and act as a TFT and asked when and where to vote on sunday and they were told to show up between 10 and 4, I thought you were not allowed to vote unless you had 90 days in.? They really want this COA to go thru bad, too bad we all have to take the hit for it and have to give up the things that were were told to be proud of and to respect the things our older union members fought and died for, looks like that all goes out the window now..!
  17. An alternate union rep said all TFT's will be required to show up and vote yes on Sunday for the COA or they will not have a job...! BULLSHIT..!
  18. Your piece of shit rusty ass foreign crap sucks goats assholes along with you. sounds like you are jealous that you are not a union memeber and work for a company that the supervisors do not speak english and walk around talking about your sorry ass and you don't even know what the fuck they are saying...lmao. Little do you know but the foreign shit had more recalls than they built last year ass gasket.
  19. So they are talking about taking billion dollar bonuses and bullshit like that away first right...lmao.
  20. Here's what i think.. Screw the Coa and all the bullshit that goes with it, the threats from the union and the company saying if we vote no we don't care about Ford and the state of the company ,it's all bullshit..! We have givin up enough i think. I am voting NO. Funny how they showed the highlights on the bulletin but there was nothing that i saw benefecial to us at all no guarantee of new product or anything and they call it highlights..lmao.! and isn't it funny that they always have a vote that they want to go thru on a sunday when they know damn well no one will show up but plant chairman votes and things of that nature are held in the plant during shifts, and a no show is a yes vote and you know damn well all the people taking the buyouts are not going to show because they don't care why would they.
  21. Yeah they are going to inform us on how we will be getting screwed..!
