  1. I recieved my sub pay today, July 19, but it won't be deposited until Monday, July 21.
  2. What do you think the senority cut off date will be to have a job at DTP?
  3. Will the plant be on a 4 day production or will they return to a 5 day production schedule?
  4. Maybe DTP is not the golden child after all . How will they go about eliminating the C Crew? Will my senority allow me to keep a job? How much time do you need to hang on at DTP? Does anyone know?
  5. I have 2003 senority and I am wonder if it will be enough time to survive a shift reduction at DTP? And if not, how much time would I need to survive a shift reduciton? Thanks in advance for your response.
  6. Thats a good way to look it and you are right! The selfish side of me disagrees but it would be fair for the higher senority employees who have vested time in the company. But, it makes to much sense for the UAW look at it from that perspective. Who knows what is going to happen. I do know that I did alright before I started working at Ford and I'm sure God will continue to guide me. So, if it takes me loosing my job to do whats right, so beit. I'm thankful for the opportunity that Ford has presented me up to date.
  7. I was informed by someone within the UAW International-Ford that company wide senority is being discussed as it pertains to certain regions. Keep in mind I was just told that it is being discussed, but as you all know, where there is smoke, there is fire! Personally I hope nothing comes of it because I know I would be out of a job. I will try to get more concrete information on the subject before the deadline to sign up for buyout package because I know its going to screw a lot more people than just myself.
  8. Why are mw's in gen? Is that one of the trade that they are outsourcing or combining?
  9. With all of the outsourcing of jobs that Ford will be doing, I wonder if many of the skilled tradesmen/women will be inclined to take buyouts and start their own business? I'm talking about those skilled trades individuals with 25-30 years? It sounds like Ford is eliminating all overtime, even for skilled trades. Are their any skilled trades brothers or sisters who have an opinion on this matter? And how many skilled trades men/women are in gen pool, if any one knows?
  10. But how is it determined? Are the Wixom employees high senority or golden children?
  11. What Ford employees will make up the new third shift at dt? How is it determined? And are regional factors taken into consideration for placement, or is based on who knows who in the big bad uaw?
