I was told by labor that the education and 100,000 buyout were open till August 31.the buyouts involving retirement were not available due to the amount of time it would take to process paperwork.I beleive more and better buyouts are on the way as this contract opens up a two tier wage system.Ford would like nothing better than to get rid of it's present workforce and hire new lower wage less benefits employees.

Not only does the Toyota CEO get less pay he heads a thriving succesful company.Our CEO's get the big money for failure.Nobody needs 29 million a year.

How the company executives of the once Big Three cry that they are at a cost disadvantage with the transplants because of our wages and benefits.I have not once heard them mention that the executives of Japans auto companies make about a third of what our head Leeches get.Our execs get obscene salaries without even being succesful.Before I give up anymore lets see what Mullaly and gang sacrifice.We,ve already agreed to higher copays on our medical,given up our 3 percent raise which means in our current contract of 4 years we gained a 2 percent pay increase.Plus our COLA has once again been chipped away.Most plants have agreed to Co Operative operating agreements which outsource our jobs.Even if Mullaly gave up half of his 39 million he would not be hurting.As to the legacy costs for pensions and medical benefits that money should have been there right now through investments .The reason that it is not is that companies where allowed to withhold deposits or raid the money that was their to shore up the bottom line or pay dividends.Where was the UAW?

Incentives or not Toyota made a 4 Billion dollar profit .Thats over 3.5 Billion more than Ford.A nice profit sharing check is waiting for Toyota employees.All we will get is the right to pay union dues and make major concessions this contract.

What is most likely to happen is that the Mazda 6 will be built in Mexico by 2012.There have been stories that Mazda is seeking a new North American assembly plant. Speculation is strong that facility will be located in Mexico.The Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan are built in Mexico upon Mazda platforms also the four cylinder engine Mazda uses in the 6 comes from Mexico.Mazda would like this new plant in operation by 2011.My guess is that Ford will not add another vehicle to a leased property to make up for the loss of the Mazda therefore the Mustang will be moved.At best the AAI plant has another 5 years.

He should have renamed it the Mullaly Five Hundred,with an optional Mark Fields designer Edition.The public will not buy a car they don't want just because of a name change.Ford killed the Tauras theres no bringing it back.If this is the best he can do he owes Ford a million Dollar refund.

American workers are not inferior to anyone in the wold.The reason the big 3 are heading for bankruptcy is management.Our American managment is paid 10 to 20 times that of Japanesse managers but they only have half their brain power.Just because your family owns the company does not qualify you to run it.Just because you chopped Boeing in half by outsourcing does not qualify you to save Ford.

Ford ,General Motors,And Chrysler do nothing without extracting tax concessions from local and state governments and they still close plants.They suck the lifeblood of taxpayers as much if not more than the Japanesse.Reality is more cars will be built in America by the Japanesse than the so called big 3.

The important thing to me is that is built by american hands on American soil.

Is a Ford Fusion built in Mexico a foreign piece of shit or is a Honda built in the United States a foreign piece of shit ?I would say the shit is the Fusion since it does not put food on the table of American workers.

In watching this excellent series I noticed when Steve confronted both Mark Fields and Bill Ford on the use of Ford corporate planes for personal use they both told him to speak to the PR department.This in fact is the core of the issue when Fords executives tell you all of us must sacrifice and share the pain it is only Public Relations they HAVE NO INTENTION OF SHARING THE PAIN .The only pain will be felt by you dear employee .I must admit the Public Relations department did its job well since it convinced so many of you to defend these over paid hypocrites running this company.In the event that Ford fails to the point of bankruptcy Mark Fields and Bill Ford will feel no pain and they will no longer need their PR department.
