The 2 tier wage system in the U.S. is all smoke and mirrors. They have so many people laid off in there general pool, that even when this UAW contract is over they still won't be paying people lower wages. The UAW is hoping by there next contract that Ford will recover, and they could renegoiate wages back.

I agree I have never seen Barney at a union meeting or have him involve with the union outside of work. Why cause, that require his own time. A chair is on call 24/7. It's gone on for years. Bob Such endorsed Whitey years ago, whitey also only work on the line for 2 years. When Bob endorsed Whitey there were lots of older more experinced reps, but he went with who he know could take over. Thats why they endorse people, thats why he Scott is ready!

I agree totally! There should be a 3 strikes, your out rule. These people know who they are, 90% of our plant is made up of hard working people that come to work everyday. We get punished every time. When we have a legit reason not to be at work, especially when we ask a month in advance. The foreman never has man power, and when he does, he sends the same a-holes home. Why you might ask? because they are so useless, we run way better without them. The same people are there 2-3 times a week in a 5 day work week. No wonder the company is losing money, they are sucking them dry, and know can do a thing about. The union should get smarter about this, because that 10% of there work force is going to fuck it up for them. That 10% is a good enough reason to close our plant, and that's a lot of union dues to throw out the door. I am not bashing our union like others have before, I love the CAW. I have been hearing a lot of people bashing Whitey of late. And this has to stop, this man was eligable for the buy out, and chose to stay. He wants to finish strong, and secure a future for this STAP.
