  1. Losing money?? Sandusky is the one plant that is making money that's why it makes no sense to close it or for Ford to dump it. Sandusky is one of the best places to work.
  2. Every car manufacturer gets duds. Chevy's Impala has been a pain in the butt for my neighbor's daughter. 12 pages worth of repairs. Still not enough to Lemon Law it though as nothing "major" engine, etc. has gone wrong.
  3. Lots of advertisement up here in Northern Ohio. In both TV and newspaper. The TV ad is on all the time!
  4. Considering my dad is a 30 year employee of Ford, yes it needs to be a Ford. I road in a Chrysler and it was terrible! Noisy and uncomfortable.
  5. Thanks, but eww...that is gross looking!
  6. No, I'm not the driver. I sit in a regular van seat when riding. We are on our second van, first we had a Windstar, now we have a Freestar. We have a lift in the back as the wheelchair is electric so it's very heavy. It fits sidways only having to take the foot rests off. We also can leave our third row seat up and can have a fifth passenger ride with us. When we tried out all three vans several years ago, Econoline, Villager, and Windstar the Windstar worked the best. The Econo was too big, and the Villager was not long enough. That's why I didn't know if the Edge would work. It might not be long enough. There's no hurry, we were just trying to figure out if we should park the Freestar and only use it when I'm riding in it or if there will be other options down the road. It will definately be a Ford as my dad is a 30 year employee soon to be retiree on March 1st. Thanks everyone!
  7. Since the minivans are out, I am concerned as to what people will do who use wheelchairs. Mine fits nice in the back of our Freestar. I sit in a regular van seat. We don't want to drive an Econoline it's way too big! Do you think the Edge is long enough? The next option might be the new Fairlane...then I don't know.
  8. My dad has 30 years in and is a millwright, he's going out. Openings are few and far between. He's at Sandusky ACH. He's too young to retire as he's only 50. He already got another job though. Trades people shouldn't look to getting transferred. If someone with 30 years can't then that should tell everyone something.
  9. Clinton had a chance to get Bin Laden, he didn't. 9/11 happened under Bush so he gets the blame. Things were going gangbusters until 9/11. Blame Clinton not Bush for the attacks. Dems. don't believe in defending our country.
  10. My dad's last day is March 1st. 30 years he has been a Ford Employee. It's so dumb, the plant MAKES money, yet they are closing it! Good luck to everyone!
