  1. And does that disprove my point? No. If you don't like the Mustang you are SOL if you're a Ford fanboy that want a performance vehicle.
  2. Don't get too excited - when it comes to performnce vehicles, GM has A LOT more with no answers from Ford.
  3. THREE TIMES?!? That was an accounting exercise - nothing more (i.e. not real money).
  4. What are your rambling about? When I said knuckle draggers, I was referring to ALL gear heads that like going fast no matter what they drive. I don't consider it an insult just a deviation from the Prius crowd that would rather sit around talking about gas mileage.
  5. Ok - you're trying to argue semantics - my special vs your special.
  6. Yep. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that is going to change anytime soon. I can't really blame Ford though. Lets say they come out with a lighter Mustang with a N/A ~370hp 5.4L engine and tight suspension in the low $30k range - it would likely run with the EVO and STI, but it would make it harder for them to sell their mostly visually tweaked (and more profitable) GTs for the same or more money. For the knuckle dragging gearheads, I believe the Camaro (IRS/400+hp) will fill the "pony car performance spot" between the GT and GT500.
  7. Yeah, the history is part of what makes it more "special" than a regular GT. With that said, it's "history" means little to me - then again I don't bow at the throne of all things Bullitt (maybe some do). Judging by the value of the last Bullitt, the name Bullitt doesn't make them top shelf collector items....just a little more special than a regular GT.
  8. Yes, I fully understand what it's made to do. It's a tweaked GT made to appeal to those that want something more special than a regular GT. What's my opinion?
  9. I wish I wasn't. For the performance enthusiast it would be hard to pic a Bullitt over the EVO X or STI.
  10. Since it's over $31k, compare it to the EVO and STI too!
  11. This thing is gonna be fast as all get out!!!
  12. You're right. They could probably raise the price another $2k.
  13. Here is the best (easy to understand) explanation I've seen:
  14. Buick is selling more Enclaves than MKXs (Enclave at 20k+ in 4 less months). Would you be saying that if the MKX was the hottest vehicle on the lot? :glare:
  15. What about profit per vehicle? The triplets START at Saturn's no haggle $27K base MSRP and go up to $38K for the Acadia. As far as volume compared to the Edge, lets wait until Chevrolet gets their version (the Traverse). Almost every Chevrolet SUV sells in similar/greater volumes compared to their Ford competitors.
  16. The buying public thinks otherwise.....or they like that look.
  17. Ford had all the same things going against them when the Fusion came out yet they sold 150k of them in the first full year. If GM can ONLY match what the Fusion did, they will sell more Malibus than they have in the last 2 years.
  18. You might want to take a look at JD Power and Associate's dependability survey to get a broader scope of Cadillac's reliability. They are in 3rd place - only a little behind Lexus.
  19. "sales to individual retail customers were down 17 percent." With incentives at ~$3k - that speaks volumes. That's the worst retail drop in the industry.
  20. $4,800? $2500 for this one: http://www.homebiodieselkits.com/homeprocessors.html Or, you can build your own.
  21. Rooting for the underdog doesn't mean you pity or feel sorry for them. In a way, Toyota and Honda were underdogs for years.
