Went to the dr. In January . They said I did not have insurance coverage for me or my wife called the veba and they said it was a computer glitch and you will be back in system in 24 hours. Now today the dr . Office says I am not covered again. Called blue cross and they said I am not covered. They connected me to veba and again it's a computer glitch. They said it would be straight by next Tuesday . I hope so. Thank god it was not an emergency.

Called VEBA to find out why my wife was removed from our health plan. They said they were doing an audit and her removal was a computer glitch. All retires should check their coverage.

fords now says they need a plant to build the small and mid size cars in north america. wixom stopped production may 31 07. granholm and the city of wixom offered fords a total of a 138 million dollars to keep the plant open. fords said they did not need another car plant. mark fields made the call. as hindsight is always 20/20 i wonder how this rates as one of the all time blunders of fords. if they would have used the money to revamp the plant starting in june of 07 they would be ready to roll in 09. no wonder my stock has tanked!!!!!!!!!

skilled trades friends of mine at chrysler said they were offered out of state production jobs or take an unpaid no benefit leave with recall rights. they work at sterling stamping, currently in the jobs bank, neither had any previous production time. could this contract wording be in the ford contract. level might shed some light on this.

state of michigan says you have to have a mechanical contractors license catagory #5 or #6 to work on gas fired equipment. fords has been in violation for years.

at wixom 4 trades and 22 production took the buy, after april 7 only skilled trades will be left at wixom, all left over production are being forced to aai or dtp

the posting was for a machinest but it said only toolmakers could apply, after the posting expired the toolmakers found out they had to go date of entry.

all six toolmakers at wixom signed for r&e but today they were informed they had to go date of entry so they asked to be dropped from the posting. one of the guys has 30 trade years, needless to say he was a little upset that he would have to go date of entry. nothing on the posting gave any indication your seniority was to be eliminated. hard to believe things like this can happen!!!!!

i heard a tinner was on the national negotiation team and he argued against combining us with any other trades. as far as i know the tinners in gen in michigan are two from wixom and 5 from rouge. at least 10 tinners took the buyout last year in zone 1, they did not replace any one. chuck browning said they would , but it did not happen yet. the tinners from the rouge gen get to work the week ends in hour rotation and they also work them during the week sometimes and pay them with gen funds . they showed me their pay stubs so i would believe it.

THEY do not want you to know any first hand information.their slogan is keep them in the dark like mushrooms. your idea makes to much sense for the company to implement. keep your fingers crossed and your bags packed if you want a job.

NOW the latest scam is plant R T O NUMBERS , many plants in michigan are working some trades overtime sat sun and 7 12s but they say their rto numbers do not permit openings for gen (jsp) tradesmen . just another company scam to prevent openings for trades!!!!!!

Yes were dead. when i was at the rouge 22years ago we had 75 tinners. now they have 17 with 5 of them in gen (jsp). only the glass plant has closed , they had 6 tinners. the tinners at the rouge now do not fabricate 99% of their material . they buy every thing they can. by doing this they also have forced welders into gen. i do not know if its plain lazyness or bad supervision why this has happened. the millwrights only want to be tinners on overtime. if we are listed as one of the 22 core trades, we should be represented in every plant, not just a few.in michigan ductwork, exhaust systems , hvac ,and refrigeration equipment, and all gas piping is to be permited by licensed mechanical contractors. many of the tinners in michigan have that license. all tinsmiths even the out of state guys should contact frank ketts at rawsonville, he is in charge of trade license to up grade the trades just like the electrician license program that fords set up.
