Hey Fantasyfrank. I don't know why you would want to know this but I hope it's not because you are want to go there. The HVC centers are the worst places to work in the Ford system. They have no union, the company does whatever they want. The international Union is no help and acts like the HVC are not part of the Union. (NO Representation) Just ask any of the people on here that work at one if you think I am wrong. The actual work isn't bad but the conditions suck. I left Indy and went to Memphis and it was the worst decision of my life. I guess the worst part of is was the living conditions in Memphis, even the guys from Detroit thought it was bad. It was the nastiest place I have ever been in my life and you were afraid to drive down the street for all the crime and corruption. I will say that the living condiditons around the Evansville (Princeton is where it is located, north of Evansville) are great. I know this because I Quit Ford ( to get the hell out of Memphis) and now I live close to this area. Getting out of Ford and that shithole Memphis is the best thing I have done for a long time. We are so happy now. There is Life without Ford Motor Co. and it can be great. Hey man I just don't want anyone to have to go thru what we did because nobody gave us this kinda information to think about. see ya

You should have gotten a clue when you put this in the last Topic (political post) and nobody was interested then. It is good of you to nominate yourself but I say no thanks. We do not want to be controlled by any one or two peoples opinion of what they think is right or wrong. This would be just like the union is today. The really sad thing is that most of the bad stuff posted on this site is true. This is the way it is in the plants and most of it is caused by poor comunication and people being elected that are not qualified for the job or in it for the wrong reasons. The Union has gotten so out of control that the average working union person has no say (NONE) in what the union does. All the late nite deals and underhanded things that are happening are killing this once great union. The union now represents the few in power and their family and friends and tries to controls the rest, I don't care what you say, this is the way it is, and if you are not in the UNION CLICK you pay your dues and take whatever they tell you. YOU HAVE NO SAY. What is posted on this site is what people think. What made them see things this way??? Why do they feel this way??? What kind of answers are they getting to their question in their plants???? Why would someone have to hide behind their computer if they didn't have anything to fear???? To elect someone on here would be just like the Union today. If someone says something that someone does not like they will be blackballed, just like it is in the plants. I don't care who you elect because anyone that is a good enough person not to handle things this way wouldn't want to have any part of that position and anyone that would just wants to control what people say. ( UNION PERSON ) If you really want to stop all these bad post, do something in your plant to stop all the bad stuff from happening, make sure people are informed with correct information and are all treated the same. Remember the union is for all of its DUES PAYING Brothers and Sisters not just the elected few, their family and friends...... Have a good day.

Just remember , you are the ones paying 2 hours a months pay to get Fucked, it is one thing to get screwed by the company, they are paying you pretty good, but it is another thing to have to pay someone to fuck you. Say thanks to the UAW and ask them where is your reach around. Just take the buyout, move on with your life or quit complaining. There is life without Ford motor Co. and it is much less stressful. I don't know why they would need cameras. Thay have about 1 supervisor for every 2 employees. These places are so over staffed with management it's not funny. Hey Ford need a way to save money... Look at these places.

These parts distribution centers are the most fucked up places to work. NO UNION NO SUPPORT FROM INTERNATIONAL 2 Employees to each supervisor It is the most fucked up place to work, they do what-ever they want and the poor union goes along with it. Long live the scare tactics and the union that has no clue. What happened to the fact that the union is for the working man or women. Today The union is for the elected to get over on everybody else. I worked at Memphis PDC. And they all suck. Glad to be out of that hell hole, No union, no support from the international and paid my union dues for what?????????????????????? This interview says it all "we underestimated our membership" they didn't think the members were smart enough to see through all of the scare tactics. It is time for the Dues paying members to take back control of their union. The union being run by people that are so out of touch with the everyday concerns of their members. One of the biggest problems with the union and Ford is GREED. It used to be that your Union officials were people that came up through the ranks because they cared about their union and its workers, now all they care about securing a place for their family and friends, and their own paycheck. It used to be that your supervisors on up were people that were promoted from the floor and they knew how the operation ran and how to work with union people. Now all Ford does is hire college kids that have no Idea how to work with people and run a department, they come in with the "I'm the Boss and you will do it how I say" attitude and we all know exactly what that gets. When was the last time you worked for a supervisor that came from the floor, when I hired in they all did and they were good people to work for, hard but fair and knew the rules. The union needs to make a change. Now I agree the Union will have to work with Ford for them to make it BUT Ford will have to work with the UNION also and that means for them to show some good faith and not alot of empty promises they don't intend to keep and the IUAW needs to start standind up for the workers and not the Company. First of all let me explain myself. I worked in Indy for 15 years and took a transfer to Memphis HVC. I took a buyout in 2008. I liked working at Indy and met alot of good hard working people at this plant. I only took the transfer because "Indy is going to close". We were told this when ACH took over. We had a piece of shit for a Union President ( Fat Jimmy) and we were feed so much bullshit by him and Fuck Chuck Browning it was sickening. I did at least learn what a union was supposed to be and how it worked (before Fat Jimmy took over) and when I went to Memphis I learned what a non-union shop was like, but I was still paying union dues. Now I know that doesnt make sense but we had no union in Memphis and the Management did whatever they wanted. We got no support from international and it was like we didn't exist. Memphis was the nastiest shit hole of a place to live and the people all suck and are all out to screw you. Hell someone tried to rob me and the wife at a stoplight. (I said tried) I did meet some good people I worked with and most of them also took the buyout to get out of this hell hole. It wasn't all about the working conditions but it was more about this being such a dirty, nasty place to live. If you get a chance to transfer make sure it is a place you want to be and it is really what you want to do or if there is a life for you outside of Ford Motor Co. Well I know the President, and the Vice President and I hired in together and unless these two guys have changed a whole lot they are really good guys you can trust and they will do what is best for the members of 1111. As for the buyout let me tell you there is life after Ford Motor Co. and it can be good. It was the best thing I have done in a long time and I am happier now than I was when I had to go thru all the crap you UAW folks are having to deal with every day. Don't listen to guys like CAPTAIN COMPANY CUM CATCHER or anyone else that is so one sided. (he never even heard of a Slaried Cafateria) You are the ones that will have to live with your decisions so read the changes you are voting on ( if you get to) or get as much information as you can from as much of an unbiased source as possible. My thought is when will Ford and the International Union stop asking the working level UAW person to give and when will they give some consessions themselves That is just my thought and I don't count because I don't work there anymore. Do what you think is correct and you will never have to second guess yourself. That is all you can do. Remember there is a life without Ford Motor Co.
