  2. Poor quality of life, crippling house prices, high cost of living and if this government gets its way there's worse to come. I'm working shifts of 12 hours and weekends too when possible and at current exchange rates I'll have grossed about $73,000 by the end of the tax year; that may seem ok but we're struggling! On top of that I have a one year old daughter who's growing up in a country with the worst teenage pregnancy rate in europe. If you're rich or have absolutely nothing then the UK is great. If you work for a living this is not a good place to be. Glad I got that off my chest! Thanks for your reply Blowfish.
  3. Quick question. Anyone know if it's possible for a hourly paid UK employee to transfer to a Ford plant in the US? Not the best time to be working for Ford in North America I know, but any help with what's involved would be much appreciated. Thanks.
