  1. Personally i dont know why Ford has never offered a diesel engine in the expedition and the F150. It could be a smaller toned down diesel and it would probably be a hot seller. I sure as hell would purchase one. Also Ford needs to add more engine options to each of its platforms. All the other competitors do, why should ford be any different. FORD MAKE the Diesel HAPPEN!!
  2. i've got the eddie bauer, carbon metallic, with the charcoal interior instead of the tan, and personally i think the charcoal interior looks alot better with the two tone seats.
  3. got rid of the continentals the day i bought my 07 expedition. Now i have Nitto Terra Grapplers, they really ride better and give me better traction on road and off road, plus they improve the looks of my truck tremendously.
  4. actually they do make a difference and they do improve mpg slightly. I have had an open intake in my last 3 vehicles, 2 explorers, Camry v6 and now the expedition will have one. I agree the cold air intake does suck in warm air, but it also allows your engine to breathe more thereby being for efficient. Your view is flawed, if it were the case that the open intake does nothing, why would diesel engines, formula one, nascar vehicles all have open intakes? Plus if you ever use a programmer it is a must.
  5. thats about right as far as trade in goes, i traded in my 05 with around 25K miles and got around 18,500, but had to go to three dealerships to get it.
  6. anyone know of any after market cold air intakes for the 07 expedition.
  7. they have them in grey, you have to click the picture for it to show in grey http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/64A1456A0A0.aspx they have them.
  8. good luck, after mine was done, it worked great for a day or two, but yesterday it started shifting funny again. At this point I am going to live with it, only does it on rare occasions, but if it starts acting up more, its going back.
  9. another vote for the husky liners. They fit snug and keep all the crap off the carpet, and look good. www.autoanything.com has them
  10. took expedition in this morning and handed them the TSB bulletin. At first they didnt want to do the update, they told me that a technician had to verify the problem before they could file a warranty claim on it. I told them this was the second time i have brought it in for the same thing. It doesnt happen all the time just intermittendly . We drove around and of course it shifts fine. Supposedly they flashed the computer and did the most recent calibration on it, we will see in the next few weeks to see if it shifts better from 1 to 2 and vice versus. They didnt run it through ford , no paperwork. They said if they do a second fix on a transmission and it doesnt fix it, then ford questions there tech department on the third warranty issue. Hopefully they did what they claim they did and i wont have any more issues. to be continued.
  11. thats sounds similar to my experience. I called around town and spoke with two or three different salesman from different dealerships. My time span for buying a new expedition was either 1-2 days or not at all, and I told the salesmen this. I told each of them what I wanted and told them to find it. Not a single one of them called me back initially, so I decided to look for myself and found the exact one I wanted, called them, drove over there and made the deal. 2 weeks later I get a phone call from one of the other salesmen, telling me they found the vehicle. Can you believe this, I made it clear up front I was going to purchase one if the numbers worked in the next two days, and it takes 2 weeks for the fuc....er to call me back. Ridiculous, but it worked well for me.
  12. ford has to say not all will have a problem, if they say all of them will, it becomes a recall issue.
  13. sounds good, i am taking my expedition in friday for this update.
  14. i dont have any pics but i have the Eddie Bauer Carbon Metallic. It almost looks like the Dark Stone color for 2006 in low light, in sunlight and when it is clean it has more of a charcoal grey metallic color to it. Personally i think it looks better than the flat black that ford offers unless you were to get the limited. The limited also has a nice white pearl color that looks real good. The blue color was way to bright for me.
  15. Thanks, my expedition has been doing this and I took it in and of course it didnt do it when the service guy drove it. I think i will have to schedule and appointment and take it in to fix it. Thanks again
