    I usually can tell when someone has their brights on, but there are definitely times where I'm not sure and hesitate to flash.

    Oh yes.  In Miami, leaving space between you and the car in front of you is only room for someone to scoot in between.

    Sadly, you get forced to drive that way or you'll continually get cut off.....and the auto cruise control systems are too "dumb" to realize you could coast to the preset speed rather than slam on the brakes.

    I've long said they already did the work for Mondeo and Zephyr for overseas....just import medium to high trim models only (no low trims) and keep prices up that way.

    Between the new 4Runner and the new Land Cruiser 250 Series (aka Prado in other markets), the new Land Cruiser is a better (cleaner) design than the overstyled new 4Runner.

    I understand too - but it has seemed like those sorts of upgrades can be swapped out "on the fly" after production has started, rather than continually pushing back new product.

    As I pointed out above, it'd be a bit different story if ICE products weren't gutted for EVs, so now it's the worst of both worlds - EV product delays and limited new/updated ICE products until they can push both out.

    I also think this EV delay would be more of a moot point (i.e. wait until they get them right outside of Mach E/Lightning that are already here) if they'd stick to consistent refreshes/redesigns of their entire product line.  Instead, we continually have abnormally long product cycles - 4-5 years for refreshes, 7-8 years (or longer in Edge's case) for non F-series products, while the competition is on 3-6 year cycles for most products like clockwork.

    And I don’t understand why you keep harping on design.  They didn’t create a skunkworks team and delay projects to just work on design.  It’s all about lowering the cost of EVs from battery type, source, design and size/range to vehicle design to electronics to manufacturing processes and suppliers.  They obviously identified improvements for T3 in addition to new vehicles and that made the ones planned for Oakville obsolete.

     

    I think his point is that there are always going to be improvements that they find....and if you keep waiting for things to be "perfect", you'll never get there, and have endless delays because they're always finding something better.

    I think they should've kept the Rivian Lincoln product to gauge reaction and to give them an EV product until their in-house stuff was ready.

    I see that all the time - the problem is, most if not all cars now have the gauges on day and night, and have running lights (some of which use the headlights as the running lights), so they drive along with the gauges on, and see light coming from the front of their car and figure their lights are on.  Sometimes I flash my high beams at them, sometimes I leave it be.....half the time they don't know what I'm flashing them for anyway.

    One local lady the other day actually said if you’re at an intersection and you have a green left turn arrow that does not mean you have the right of way.   Umm that is EXACTLY what it means.  No wonder we have so many crashes.

     

    Y'all should see the drivers down here in South Florida - it's crazy.  Morons everywhere.

     

    U-turns on reds is a new thing I've seen a TON of within the last few years.....I can't understand why they think they can go on a red light just because they feel like it.

    Yeah, seems like they threw styling elements in from a few different generations.  Maybe my opinions will change seeing it in person, but overall its "eh" to me.

    Yes, BMW does.  The X7 also has power side shades in the 2nd row and a sunroof with power shade in the 3rd row.  It also has 4 climate zones (2 in front, 2nd row, and 3rd row), which can each have their own fan speed/temperature.

    Perhaps the biggest change present in the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the addition of a brand new eMotor, which was developed in-house by FoMoCo engineers and is present in all trim levels. The new eMotor weighs less than the outgoing unit and also helps deliver improved torque across the lineup. The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E extended range battery now charges around 20 percent faster than previous models when using DC fast chargers – going from 10-80 percent in 36.2 minutes, wile the  standard range battery can complete the same task in a quicker 32.3 minutes as well.

    well, given it’s Ford, they’ll probably give a minor refresh and leave it on the market for 6 more years, sales will dry up and Ford will sit there wondering why a 10+ year old product isn’t selling lol

    Production looks consistent for the last few months, though inventory is lower than the rest of the Lincoln models.

     

    Maybe it's just getting long in the tooth for buyers?

    I get it.  I went from a Flex+Mustang to Bronco - I really had fun with my Mustang, but wanted more practicality back.  Sometimes I wish I still had my Mustang, but it wasn't paid off and didn't make sense to have 2 payments.

     

    If I had a crystal ball, I'd have ordered a second one and sold it when prices were crazy, and then kept mine.

    I read somewhere, probably on BOF, that Ford Connect relays the frequency and in some cases duration that an option is used. They found through this data mining that few people were using the Homelink garage door feature, continuing to use the clip-on box that came with the garage door opener. They concluded that money could be saved by deleting the feature on some models, or moving it up into a premium package. 

     

    I'll stand by my opinion that removing features, especially while simultaneously raising prices, isn't a good look.
