Ford does testing in South Florida. I know an engineer that has some testing designated in the keys.
When I lived down there I'd see a manufacturer plate on occasion here and there, probably nothing special though.
I hadn't seen one down here before, so I thought it was odd.

Funny and entertaining - and granted I'm not Australian so I probably don't fit their target market - but, it seems to me that I'd be more convinced to buy a "ute" on its merits than a cheesy commercial. That's why I like the current F-150 commercials. They show real advantages of the truck, and what it can actually do. Hot chicks around here would follow around stupid ricermobiles, doesn't mean I'd buy one because of it ...
I agree. I did think it was funny though.

Aside from the front end which could use a little less of the curvy treatment I like this one. Great mileage too. If jeep builds this one I'll end up trading in my Wrangler for it.

I don't think I'd opt for the green color either.
It does look cool. I don't like the green color either. Maybe they painted it that color to emphasize the fact that it's a "green" car?

Ford is a little late to the game with a Hemi fighter. Here Chrysler is saying that the Hemi's days are numbered and Ford still hasn't got their engine out on the market yet. I will say this though...a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Even if the Boss is as great as they say, its not here yet. If I were buying a half-ton next year, I'd likely go Ram Hemi again.
It'd be cool if they had a way to have the BOSS be the most fuel efficient V8 in a truck.

So, ability and capability is "lame ass" but, "who's got the prettiest interior..." isn't? If your opinion is that the Dodge has a sharper interior, so be it, but the Ford has better capabilities.....time will tell.
I think the F-150 has the nicer interior.

I was being driven to the Enterprise rental lot to pick up my rental car. They picked me up in an Avenger........CHEAP CRAP!nothing from Chrysler impresses me.

Went to the Detroit autoshow, and have to agree. Chrysler/Dodge needs to start competeting, or they will end up selling only to employees and rentals....I agree. All Chrysler stuff is cheap.

Have your parents considered a 2008 Expedition?
Yes and no. We're still trying to decide what to do car-wise when I go to college, so that will play a factor as well. Plus we're still paying off the 04 (I believe). The Expedition offers so much for the money though, and really the smaller vehicles dont offer that much better fuel economy for the price and the sacrifice in size you make.
I, for one, would love to have a new Expedition Limited in White Chocolate Tri-Coat with a tan interior. (much nicer than the 04s)

Probably just a Ford rep's car.It wasn't the vehicle that was strange (I see quite a few Limiteds already), it was it's license plate. It had a Michigan Manufacturer plate (in S. Florida), which are usually on vehicles being tested.

I thought it may have been someone on vacation, but this was in the Delray/Boca Raton area, not Orlando/Disneyworld. I suppose he could still be on vacation in Boca though.

Maybe they were testing the Edge for high humidity climates. Didn't someone say they are looking at selling them in Brazil?

I think the first two are Milans, and the 3rd is a Fusion. That's my guess.
Neither are MKZ.
On the MKZ, there's a small plastic piece that continues the chrome beltline as well, this is absent on these mules. See attached pictures.

Just guessing, but the film could be clear with the black or white spots already on it, and they just cover everything with it. Find out who makes the film, and all you MI residents can drive Priddy & Co. stark raving nuts.
As to the pictures, I have to agree with one poster on LLN that the vertical bars aren't on the grille, they're on the cover. The grille behind them looks more solid, like a Fusion 3-bar grille. It has spots, too.
I'm not sure about the painted vertical bars. They look real to me, I think they're spotted, without a 3 bar behind them.
