The mythbusters thing was about the idiots driving around with their tailgates down, I believe. Most people that go with the full caps report an increase in mileage from what I've seen on FTE.

For a more Aerodynamic F150, just clamp one of these over the bed of the truck. It has been wind tunnel tested in one of the NASCAR wind tunnels in North Carolina. The aerodynamic cap achieves a 20% increase in fuel efficiency during highway travel, proven out in ten months of road tests.
IMO, it's ugly, but it does serve a purpose. No offense if that's your truck.

The other day I saw a Ford Edge Limited driving on the highway in South Florida. I woundn't have even thought about it except this Edge had a Michigan "Manufacturer" plate.
Do you all/ya'll (for BlackHorse) think it was down here for some sort of testing (I don't know what type of testing that'd be), or just here because its here?

They're just correcting the idiotic mistake RJ's hero made when he tried to turn Ford NA into the american Kia.
As long as it results in less Fusions and more Verves, standards-wise, I'm all for it.
How would this result in more Verves and less Fusions (besides the obvious cost difference)? And why is that a good thing. I say lets have tons of customers buying both.

i will be buying the 09 ram..inetrior is far superior to the f150 and the truck just looks better..towing...lmao..i haul a 4-wheeler and a load of dirt now and then...trying to sell the f150 by tow rating sounds like dealer salesman bullshit..i tow..i want a super duty not an f150..ford needs to hire a few interior engineers from toyota like dodge did..ford interiors are pathetic

The F-150 looks MUCH better than the hideous Tundra, both inside and out.

I agree. I think the Ram will steal sales from all trucks, but it won't run with the F-150, it's capabilities are the major limiting factor, IMO.

sure it looks prettier but with 9,000lb max towing capacity, Dodge is slowly but surely losing the game .. the F150 was at 11,000lbs last year, and said they will up it in the 2009 (did not release the figures yet) .
I will use an analogy I heard yesterday: the Ram looks like a show horse. The F150 is a damn good looking work horse.

The Ram, to me, seems more like a "lifestyle" truck, while the F-150 serves as both a "lifestyle" and a work truck.

Just remember that a 5th-wheel hitch is mounted almost exactly nothing like that. Different location, different stress points.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 5th wheel towing when there's the semi-like hitch type thing in the bed of the truck?

It will look different enough for most people. The Change in the early 90s was enough and this will be as well. Truck buyers care about ability as well as look, and in the eyes of many, the F150 has both.

I believe its Premiere Automotive Group, which Mazda isn't part of, and Ford owns 33% of Mazda as suv_guy said.

Oh boy...that looks like it came straight out of the 90's.
If you're referring to the pictured Holden, the GMC concept will feature "GMC" styling. However, I'd think Pontiac's model could end up being a Holden rebadge like the G8 is.

I don't really care. I don't necessarily like it, but it's not a very big deal to me. Let Toyota take some #1 flak for a while, see how they (and the public) respond.
