  1. Ranger is nice stuff, and it doesn't effect payload as much as say Adrian Steel ( which is pretty cheap and nasty compared with the ranger stuff ) Interesting you mentioned driving dynamics...HUGE step up huh?....

Yea huge step up, drives more like a car and despite the size it is quite maneuverable.

  2. Excellent- good luck with it. what is GVW and what line of work are you in?

9000 gvw, I wanted the aluminum wheels. I am an independent service rep for Hunter Engineering Company. We supply wheel alignment systems, tire changer, balancers, etc for repair shops.

So, a few hours after posting pics of your new fridge, you post pics of the box it came in?

I'm curious on the interior accessories---do some dealers install those for you, or do you buy them separately and install them yourself--or have another shop install them?

Haha.. the package I have is all aluminum, made by Ranger, and it was installed by a separate company located close to the dealership.

  3. I bought a new work van a few weeks ago, 2015 Transit, high roof, extended length. Loaded up with all the goodies. I can't say enough about this van, it is great in every way. The Ecoboost is simply marvelous, and the driving dynamics are light years ahead of my last E-series. Here are a couple of pictures, I will post some more when I get it organized.

  4. First impressions:

Handles great, ride is a bit rough on bad roads.

Pretty fast, pulls nice to redline. First gear is tough, lots of spin and torque steer.

Recaro seats are very supportive, awesome actually. Not sure about a long trip, not able to reposition very much.

Shifter is slick, love rowing through the gears.

I like MyFord Touch, but will need some time to learn all the intricacies.

Overall, I love the car! Attached a couple of photos.

  5. Anyone who pays $5k over sticker just isn't very smart, much less $10K. They can be had for MSRP, on the internet and also local here in western PA. A lot of the ones on Ebay have aftermarket superchargers and other "goodies" that are added to raise the price to the $70K range. And btw, those things are a dime a dozen around here, guys buy them and beat the shit out of them in the gas fields.

  6. [tangent] I'm still not sure how Troller fits in "One Ford", but I'd like a TR-X [/tangent]

When I replace my Escape (which will be in the next year) there isn't a Ford I'd buy currently. I don't want two FLEX, and the F150 is too big. I may look at the new Edge. The Canyon is top in the running at the moment (pending price/availability). Escape and Explorer are both out of the running due to appearance. I'd love another Escape, but Ford doesn't "make them like they used to". (Seems to be working for them, but not for me)

If you think the Canyon is better looking than the Explorer or Escape then...... Well, to each his own but the Canyon is a train wreck.
