There just has to be a 6-speed coming to the Stang. It seems like nearly everything in the Ford line-up is getting a 6-speed so I can't imagine its main sports car not having one. With Chrysler talking about cutting vehicles out of the line-up...I'd hate to see Ford in the same shape with a ton of CUV-SUVs. Yet with a new Explorer coming, that would make the Edge, Flex, Free Style, Explorer, etc. all on the showroom floor. Sounds like something has got-to-go. Plus, wouldn't that mean the Explorer is now banished to 4 and 6 cyl. land? Twinforce stuff sounds nice, but the Boss/Hurricane line-up would've been nice in the Explorer also...oh well...the Lambda platform and the 3.6L is doing well for GM.

Gotta agree that maybe Ford should follow GM's lead on just bringing existing vehicles/platforms over here. That pattern already looks like it may save Saturn from the chopping block and allows for a rapid product turn-around (which Ford needs!). Selling RWD rides in the snowbelt??? I agree again, seems that if you make a car that a person just has to have and love, snow (Mustang),gas prices (Hummer)-cost-of-ownership, whatever, will not keep them from buying it! With most households having more than one car, it's not as big of an issue for some vehicles.
