  1. Sounds like you didn't do your homework before you purchased. Don't blame Ford because you didn't do your homework. The Sport Trac is a fantastic truck for the weekend warrior/homeowner. I just traded my 09 Toyota Tacoma quad cab for a Sport Trac and couldn't be happier. The Sport Trac has a short bed for hauling bikes, junk to the landfill, and other homeowner type tasks. The roof rack is great for two kayaks and the ride and interior are both miles ahead of a Tacoma. 4 wheel drive for those snowy days in New England is just fine. The Sport Trac fits a niche very nicely. Here in New England, I see a lot of them and for good reason.
  2. I just picked up my brand new Sport Trac and all I can saw is AWESOME!! I am super happy. It's my daily driver but so much more. The cockpit is very comfortable with good creature comforts and minimal noise (except for my premium sound system with sub-woofer), the ride is awesome and it does what I want as a weekend warrior. It pulls my big utility trailer loaded with ATVs, the bed fits 2 bicycles and gear, the roof rack holds 2 kayaks, and I can't say enough good about sync. What a great truck/SUV or whatever you call it. I love it.
  3. I'm seriously thinking about buying a 2010 Sport Trac. Will current owners please let me know what they think of their Sport Tracs? In addition, please let me know what features you love and which features you wish you had. Lastly, what do you think could be done to improve the Sport Trac? Thanks for your help.
  4. 8 weeks is about right. I understand the spray-in bedliner won't be offered for a few more months. They're setting up things at KTP but aren't ready yet. I got that info from a gal in the paint shop. You can't order the spray-in bedliner yet.
  5. All I can say is that I ordered a SD truck over 8 weeks ago and still haven't seen it. I have a few friends who ordered them too. It seems odd that numbers are down when people I know (including me) are buying new trucks.
  6. Thank you for the info Superduty. You made my day :hyper:
  7. I tried calling the Kentucky Truck Plant in order to ask your question but the phone system kept switching me to Michigan. Next, I called a local Louisville Ford dealer and got some guy who had no clue. Worse yet, he was surprised that the truck plant was closed for two weeks!! I doubt he will last long as a salesman. I hope someone has better luck than I.
  8. Taking a look at your list of past and present automobiles, I would wonder if you don't like Ford products in general as according to your list, you have never owned a Ford. Reminds me of my cousin who hated Fords. His father worked at the Framingham GM plant until it shut down. They were loyal GM people. Can't blame them. He would say Fix Or Repair Daily and I would say Garbage Motors. Then there's Toilet Odor (Toyota).
  9. Well, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I ordered a new F250. One of the reasons is because I think they look great. I parked my GMC 2500HD next to a superduty and as far as I could see, the looks of the Ford were far better than the GMC. The interior is nicer, the build is better, etc.
  10. My dealer just called me with the VIN so it took about 4 weeks.
  11. Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just wait and see. Also, as a result of the new news about Ford suspending Superduty production for two weeks, I'll just have to wait longer for my truck. Snow season is coming so I hope it somehow arrives with enough time so I can swap out snowplow mounts, etc. from my GMC to the new Ford.
  12. Folks: I ordered a new F250 Superduty about 4 weeks ago and my dealer hasn't received a VIN yet. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes for the dealer to get a VIN? Thanks for your help.
  13. The new Ford Superduty look surely sold me. My GMC 2500HD is only 2 years old but once I saw the new Ford, I ordered one and can't wait to get it.
  14. I ordered a new FX4 because I wanted the black interior. I wasn't too happy with the painted front grille and non-chrome bumpers. Reminds me of the base model GMC 2500HD work truck that I have right now but I hope to get over it. I had to have black. Those light colors in the other models just show the dirt too easily.
