  1. the escape is not for me no matter wahat ford does..im 6 foot 280 pounds so the escape is just to small...the edge on the other hand is starting to intrigue me...i consider the edge to be like a 6 beer chick..and i am on my fourth beer..
  2. sore losers...where is the trabant..one of the best east german cars of all time..ivan said so..in a nutshell car and drivel sucks...the problem is a lot of people look to car and drivel..especially the coty issue..before making a purchasing decision..beside my beloved trabant..the yugo was a copycat..id like to see the caddy win
  3. ...this does not surprise me considering the size difference between cheby and ford..what is sad i have been a ford guy (f150/stangs) my whole life (less the 73 super beetle ditch hopper back in 1984) and i cannot tell you 1 model ford is currently producing outside of the stang and the f150..ford has not done a good job of marketing vehicle types in my opinion as the last thing i new ford had outside those mentioned was the ford exp i bought new in 1984 (what a piece of crap-havent bought a ford car since)..i hope ford does get this turned around and if they have to close plants (ouch) or lay more people off (double ouch) to get profitable then i am all for it..ps mulally--please make a boss 302 again ps.i did buy a probe gt new in 1994 and of course ford saw fit to discontinue that car (usual luck-i like something its usually gone in a year or two)..i did like the probe..

  5. well..over the past 2 months i did give some serious thought to buying a toyoda tundra.i liked the truck..rode smooth and seemed well built...i especially liked the sliding rear window in the tundra (wish ford or dodge had that)..then i came here and read about the crumpled tail-gate..geez..i am 280 pounds and now i worry about sitting on the tail-gate thus causing it too fold/crumple...i doubt it would happen but i do worry about this since i have a 4-wheeler to load...well my mind has been changed and i will again look to the ford f150 or the dodge ram...i have had really good luck with dodge (owned several fords f150's in the past) and would have to consider the dodge ram #1 at this time..thanks for informing myself about the toyoda...it is off the list
  6. lets just say i will believe it when i see it..here is what i would want to see..the boss catch fire as your going down your driveway..the headlights go out at 90 mph..flame thrower type flames erupting out of the carburator.3 caskets on the nine inch rear differential to keep fluid from leaking out all over your garage floor.4 speed shift linkage that will not go from first to second gear under high torque stress load.inability to stay between the ditches (not intoxicated induced).oil spray pouring all over engine bay from cracked aluminum valve covers.inability to drive in traffic due to motor over-heating.brake malfunction (due to leaking master cylinder and or broken brake lines).constant battle with leaking water pump.above is actually truthful and is what i went thru (add many more cuss-filled wrenching nights)with my 70 boss 302 30 years ago.now what i really want is a lime green metallic with black gut with hi revving modern smallblock with no options that the chicks will instantly dig and go goo-goo over and request rides (flash-back)..seriously if the new boss just screams and can handle the twisties i am in.also at this point in my life as long as the thing starts when i turn the key i will be happy.however if ford decides to go green and embrace the tree-huggers then i am gone for good.i hope ford ceo (mulally?) can turn this company around and give us what we want and not what they (ford management) think we want (ford arrogance)
