  1. Big three wants feds to bail them out, lets hold on for a minute. I say a conditional loan must be pre-arranged first. Tell BIG three YOU CANT KEEP PAYING YOUR CEO'S MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN BONUSES WHEN YOUR LOSING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. The exec's seen for months the amount of money they were losing. I bet not once did they say we are getting paid big money to run a company, and lose billions of dollars and still get bonuses and paid millions in salary. WRONG WRONG WRONG Even if they do get money , do you think they will spend it here or over seas where their markets are thriving. WHAT DO YOU THINK, SHOULD FEDS GIVE THEM A LOAN OR NOT ?

  3. If you don't plan on coming to work on a world class vehicle instead of sitting on your ass, you should of taken the buyout!
  4. WRONG! WRONG ! WRONG ! If these world class execs. get paid these kind of bonuses they better be able to produce. If you can't get the right engineers to design and produce what the public wants, do what you are doing now. Force them to take a buyout or FIRE AND REPLACE them. That's why they are hired to run the company. HELL I still wander what happened to the world class idiot exec. that decided to rename the top selling vehichle FORD had in the last decade(TAURUS)!!!! What a assinine idea was that? The bottom line is how much DAMN money does a person really need to live off. If you can't live very very comfotably on a salary of $10 million dollars a year , you sure the hell aren't going to do it on salary $ 20 million. Maybe these execs. can take a $10 million dollar pay cut for one or two years and hire some engineers that can design what the public wants to buy. ($10 million dollars should be able to get a few pretty good design engineers)
  5. You say an inept person, well my personal opinion is produce and i will pay, not I will pay but you better produce. You should have to have the expierence, besides this Mulally comes into Ford while they are in mid restucturing process. Most of the restructuring process was already going on and this joker comes and gets this kind of money. Hell any world class exec. could come into a company eliminate 35,000 jobs and say there I saved you millions. How about the production worker that gives Ford an idea that saves them hundreds of thousands of dollars. I just say this kind of MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN BONUSES is B.S. Mulally is not the person building a world class quality vehicle, we the production worker(s) are that's why the public buy our product.
  6. I mean in the last two years they have offered buyouts that eliminated over 35,000 employees. I thought this was to reduce high payroll and save money. I just cant understand any CEO making this kind of money. Does anyone feel this is right? Oh yeah like we have a say so. If they would cut their pay in half it still would be very generous paycheck for them. When Ford Motor starts making billion dollar profits again it might seem easier to justify these kind of bonuses. But give all of us employees a break the company looses 2.5 billion dollars and they pay their execs. these kind of bonuses. Would like to see what some of you hard working blue collar workers think?

Cannot convert like we were able to previous years. I think this would be the same everywhere just curious, am I right ? Like to hear from some other plants. I work at OHAP.
  9. Can anyone tell me when the signing bonus would be distributed? Union rep told me the other day he was told they would be disributed the week of December 10th. Don't know for sure to believe him but that the first I heard of any date so far. I do know that the Christmas bonus is distributed the first pay period of December, which would be Friday December 7th. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:
  10. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: Hands down, Ooops I mean hands up considering the financial shape Ford was in, it could of been alot worse. I am not saying it's a perfect contract ,but job guarantees and plant product investment agreements are what most of us wanted to keep our job security. Curious though to estimate what percent of GM and Chrysler non core jobs will be determined overall as compared to Fords bottom 20% at two tier. Does anybody think it could possibly be higher then 20%(GM & Chrysler) of overall employees? I think we'll have to wait and see, but I feel this contract will pass easily by the members. It may just be another long four years of hearing I told you not to vote yes.
  11. If anyone woulkd like to see some of the new information on current negotiations go to UAW.com then click on Ford contract to open and view. Helpful but not everything included that needs to be seen.
  12. :happy feet: What in the hell are these guys tkinking? I understand they need to cut cost, agree to some of it. The company is trying to get the public to finally believe, which I think our quality control over the years has improved. Now you replace your expierenced assembly worker(buyout,retirees,ect) with a 1/2 priced non expierenced worker which knows they will never make what we make. The turnover will be unbelievable, not only will they get the worst of the worst jobs but to stand next to another assembler with a decent job making half the wage. I SEE THE QUALITY GOING BACK BECUASE OF EMPLOYEE TURNOVER WILL BE HUGE!!!!! Ant body with any sense would NEVER NEVER I MEAN NEVER vote for a contract with this type of a wage tier.
  13. Does anybody know if GM & Chrysler have family days as in the previuos contracts? I didn't see any in the low lights of their contracts.
