  1. Yeah but those SUVs are printing $ for gm. And for the most part they really don't have any serious competition so why not expand and push for more sales
  2. I think that the reason the expy gets outsold so much is the Tahoe has looked more suv like whereas the expy has an aggressive truck frontend and I don't think the the aggressive front is what appeals to the soccer mom. That's a reason why I think the explorer sells so well...it just looks classy. A question i have is if ford comes out with the new expedition looking good, will it compete on a sales level with the gm twins? Those large suv's for gm are a cash cow and I imagine they have to be a little worried about what ford does. Will people who purchase tahoes consider an expy if it looks good?
  3. Just curious if anyone has heard anything on it. I said this before that I think the gm full size suv's are vulnerable right now. Their sales are going down now that the must have's have em. I don't think that they are that great looking either. I feel like this is a segment that ford underperforms with lots of potential there. Any idea when it would be shown or what it may look like?
  4. Is it me or is this just a little premature? Looks rammish... http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/10/chevy-silverado-spy-shots/
  5. It has the chebbie like grill The 2 chrome strips going across above the 2 large bold chrome lines in the middle Looks a lot like the chebbie Sadly
  6. Could an aluminum frame handle the payload #'s ford wants to hit? Also, with the superduty and expy being built at the same plant and the superduty going aluminum wouldn't that mean that the expy would be forced to go aluminum sametime? If so, could we be seeing hints of the new expy/nav yet? I know there's lots of rumors and chatters of the '17 expy but has anyone seen anything of it?
  7. Maybe it ta some type of hybrid Usually where there is the power stroke badge there's a green leaf that says b20 so maybe it means something else
  8. You can see the chrome f250 badge that's perpendicular Can anyone see what it says on the door?
  9. I'm beyond stoked to see the new superduty. It's by far my favorite looking truck off all time going back to '99 but it is getting a little long in the tooth and is ready for some all new sheetmetal. Ford dominates this market the hd market. They sell as much as gmc, chebbie, and dodge combined. The 3/4 market is huge for ford and is a cash cow for them so I expect some amazing improvements. I don't know if ford would go ifs A lot of people won't buy a goverment motors hd truck for that reason alone. For their market I think a solid front axle is best. I'm planning on picking up a new superduty this summer but I wanna see what this new one looks like beforehand. Any ideas/guesses when they could unveil it. I think they have done it in the past at the Texas state fair. I wouldn't be surprised if they did similar to 2008 model when the 2007 was a short run to get the '08's out. If they did that w the 2016 to get the '17 out earlier
  10. Gm does have a fresher more appealing product (tho I still think the last model looks better). I would like to see the navigator part from the split wing grill as well.
  11. i feel like ford has kinda neglected on full size suv's last 6 or so years. I understand why due to focusing $ and talent in more pressing areas like f-series and cuv's. The expedition used to outsell the Tahoe till ford really abandoned that segment. If you look at the explorer popularity and the turnaround that happened on this newer platform, I'm willing to bet that ford could give gm a run for top full size suv sales crown. It was fords to lose in the first place. Where I live it's very common to see a ford truck and a Tahoe/suburban in the drive way. Most housewives just think the tahoe looks more appealing. If ford can make that new expedition more appealing to the soccer mom crowd then we will give gm a run for the sales crown. I know that they don't sell like they used to but full size suv's stand out. It's a standout car to the masses and makes the brand "cool" to the younger crowd. People who normally wouldn think ford would take a second glance. And the bet part is that it would kill gm's ego if they lost that title. They think their suv's walk on water!
  12. I wonder if it will have the split wing grill theme or something all new? Would there be demand enough for a raptor expedition? If there was could/would ford do it?
  13. So if the new navigator is rolling out in '17 when would it be unveiled? i havent seen any pics of mules around. Yeah that would make sense that the expy would be released same time unless the expy and navigator have different sheet metal then i could see ford showing off the new navigator and expedition different years.
  14. I really do think ford has s great opportunity to reclaim large suv sales title from gm or atleast give them a run for their money. The new Tahoe/suburban aren't garnishing any wow factors from people I know. I have a few die hard gm suv fans that aren't too excited to move up to the newer models. The expedition is a great platform but is just long in the tooth and a lot of people have a hard time dropping 50k on a 2003 sheet metal vehicle. I'm hoping the new expy doesn't look as truck like but more suv like the explorer. I feel like that might be part of the expedition selling problem is that the housewife is not into the bold truck front like the husband is. -hope that makes sense another reason for a raptor expedition is border patrol. The border patrol runs tahoes if there was an expedition raptor style that would be a hard suv to beat cruising along the southern desert border. What do we know about the new expedition? All I have heard is 2017, aluminum and f150 frame? Any validity to this?
