Im glad there was. My Flex was built in the final month of production. Love it.I still have my 2013 Flex with 103,000 miles. What a great vehicle. Since it was never a commodity maybe they should bring it back 😉

I know I'm the outlier here, but I don't miss my keypad at all...the biggest issue is it's just another code to remember, I have so many stupid codes/passwords etc I need to know for my job that its not worth the brainpower to keep it memorized. The only vaguely useful thing is pushing the last two keys on my wife's Escape to lock it.
You can program the code to be something you will easily remember so I program all my keypads and I have never forgot the code.

Given who makes the Santa Cruz, I wouldn't expect anything else.Didn't they have a couple oddball truck/CUV products over the years...and to go back to ancient history, the Brat?
Actually the Brat was a Subaru, FYI.

I still love my Flex. Currently at 100K miles after 10 years and looking forward to the next 100K. Great vehicle. Thanks OAC.

I know the 3.0 was not new when the 500 was introduced - my 1996 Sable had the 3.0- I was referring to the motor’s deficiencies from its inception. The 500 used the CVT for the base SE and AWD versions. All other versions used an Aisin 6 speed automatic. That combo wasn’t much better than the CVT.
The 96 Taurus came with the AX4N transmission which was not a CVT. I had a 96 and also a 2003 and they were both standard 4 speed automatics. The CVT started with the Freestyle and 500 I believe. (sorry this is referring to Curtis's post).

This nonsense and the lack of Fusion means my next vehicle will not be a Ford. I have purchased 10 4 wheel vehicles and all of them have been Fords. No more. I'm out. (Sorry Fuzzy)

I just wish people would stop quoting him. Would be nice if the ignore feature would disable the display of his quotes.

True now, but as improvements are made to the grid in high risk areas it will become less of a factor. Funny this is being mentioned, a good friend of mine is working on these projects as we speak. In any event if there is a blackout, you are not pumping any gas or diesel either.
Unless the station has a backup generator.

I hope your trips were the good type of joke and not the bad one, as North Dakota has natural beauty and friendly people. I have fond memories of a family vacation about 30 years ago to International Peace Garden.
Great Plains, areas with little to no trees was the joke, not the trips. I always enjoy road trips through less populated areas.
