  1. I just wonder if they are going to reopen the contract for the International Reps and take back the Raises they will be recieving in there seperate contract??????????
  2. If your working in Sandusky, your dues are going there.
  3. The only way you can bump someone in zone is if you are forced to a job out of zone, then you can exercise your bumping rights and make the lowest senority person in your zone to take the out of zone job, then you take there job.
  4. How about Wayne, do they have a water treatment plant?
  5. Does any assembly plants have any kind of water treatment plants?
  6. Mostly looking to see witch plants in s.e. Michigan have a water treatment plant.
  7. Does anyone know witch plants have waste water treatment plant operaters
  8. Hey Gen, Dont be a ass hole about it, Im sure everyone has good feelings about there own local, but most of the guys I know who transfered to other locals from monroe wish they where back in monroe. ( but we relize this will never happen). So we wait to be transfered to other plants, and when this happens we feel great that we are going to be working under the blue oval again. Then we arrive at our new location and the shit hit the fans, we are put on as temp employes, with no rights to bid on jobs, put on afternoons or some other shift we dont want, given the worst jobs, and told to be glad we have a job, have the Local Union put out letters telling other worker not to welcome us, because we are there to take there jobs. Many of us who transsfered have been working for many years for Ford, and have been good union members. Now we are treated like we just walked off the street. Its time for this to change and do away with the temp worker bullshit. If your needed at a plant for more then 90 days, u should be perm.
  9. everyone was family at Monroe, and when workers got transfered to Monroe from other plants they where treated the same as current workers, unlike how other locals are treating transfers now.
  10. The person i talked t used to be a welder, but is NOW a waste water plant operater. He is laid off as a wwtp operater. Mannik and Smith works a min of 20 hours a week, but any of this does not matter, the facts are that they have a outside contracter doing a UAW job while a UAW wwtp operater is laid off. THIS IS NOT RIGHT AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED.
  11. I just talked to the waste water treatment plant operated last week, he was laid off at the end of November, and there is a outside contracted in there doing his job.
  12. I herd a new rumer today, Ford is pulling all the warehouse work out of Monroe to make way for the production of batterys there. Anyone else hear that one?
  13. I herd they kicked all the trades out of there, and have contracters in there doing the maintence. WHAT DOES THE UNION HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT.
