  1. Ranger M, I know the feeling. My wife owns a 1996 Ranger 4 cyl. manual with about 160k miles. It looks and runs great. We have been hoping Ford would simply build a 4-door version of the Ranger for years. The F-150 is way too big for her, and we don't want to buy a Chevy or Chrysler. The japanese trucks are not even an option. We'd rather walk or take the bus than drive a foreign car. With that said, when we were in Europe this past summer we were tempted to buy one of the 4 doors there and have it shipped here. I wonder why Ford hasn't made this happen. As for design, they should take some reasonable mix of the F-150 and current ranger. Offer it in a 4 door and be done with it. Not very difficult. I like my wife's Ranger, but she has the standard cab, so it's annoying as heck to have ZERO storage space behind the seat. Ford's got the hard part done... (Great reliability). Just unleash it now with a 4 door.
  2. According to CSM's latest vehicle production Forecast, the new Escape/Mariner (C520) will have an SOP of 7/2011. There is also a C521 simply referred to as a "small CUV" with SOP of 10/2011. This is probably the Kuga. It's on the same C1 platform as the Escape/Mariner. The preliminary volume projection is 35k/yr. Also on the C1 platform are the following: CMAX (C344), Focus (C346), Transit Connect (V408N), and a Misc. Small Car (C346) that will likely be the high performance 300hp focus that's been talked about lately. So the Kuga will be a separate vehicle from the Escape, but maybe with a new name. Bryan
  3. February Sales: GM 53% Ford down 49% Toyota & Honda down 37-40% Ladies & Gentlemen, Let's go out and support our favorite car company. Go buy a Ford... Preferably one built in the U.S. Bryan
  4. It would take more time and cost more money to have custom covers made then to roll it into a small covered trailer. And you wouldn't have to worry about the spyshots nearly as much which can be priceless.
  5. That Mustang is being driven down Oakwood Blvd in Dearborn, likely to the test track. I never understood why they waste the time and money on a custom cover to disguise these things when they could just throw it in a trailer to transport it to the track or some other more remote road.
