I guess everyone has the right to complain, and we all hated the TL issue. But, I was glad to see that the BC didn't hide once it got ugly, and when they came down chassis they didn't yap about the old "vote it in or the plant will close" crap we always hear. You say anything nice you'll get flamed in here (i do that so im not complaining) but it's hard to say things aren't getting better as far as night shift chassis goes. Lets see if they put the same exact contract up like the last chairman did. Never moved a coma and it was voted int he second time.

First off thank you for a solid and debated reply. If we all got back to agruing the points we would enjoy this more and be more informed, but with out a doubt this is partly my fault. Can't answer for most of this stuff I am not that involved these days, and I must have been off for the Tornado I swear I don't remeber it or didn't hear it as an issue, but I don't work in a pile of people. The Allen Hughes thing came from a letter I saw when i was leaving he has put out on the floor. But, I think everyones AWOL is staying in place on all shifts. And yea the company sucks as far as not looking the other way on those that were late.

As for Saying Mike is unelectable, be careful there, they said that about him twice before and see what happened. And are you Allen? You will say anything to defend him, i have stateed things that have happened, like me or not. And for the Snow Storm hasn't this happened about every 2 yrs, yes, yes it has, didn't it happen the same way at LAP that night, yes, yes it did. So is the chairmans fault? Do you really think that Allen could convince a company to lose $6,000 a minute + pay short work week for those people even though they had enough people to build trucks? So Allen would have been able to pull off what no chairman ever has and LAP didn't pull off either. Get real. And the Tornado? So going outside is SAFER than being inside in a tornado? And on that, WHY WASNT ALLEN HERE. He has the right to stay and fight any issue he sees fit, according to the law he has that right to argue his issues with anyone in the company all the way upto and includeing the plant manager, so where was HE? It's his same ol ploy of blame everyone else. Then again if he had taken the backup B.C. spot he would have been even more in position to fight it, but again he choses to armchair quaterback. Do you think that when someone becomes chairman they get super powers? Some super bargaining pixie dust? No they are the same person with a different title. They can't win any more or any less because of that title. FACT: when you ask any union rep. of the great fights on the floor or great wins for people, they will tell a Story about Dickie, Mike Stewart, Pat Warner, and yes Scott Eskridge. But, what you won't here is any great victory that Allen Hughes won for you, not know, not if hes elected, not ever. Allen is a do anything say anything politician, now hes claiming he wouldn't take the pay that is natioanly negotiated for the chairman? Does anyone believe this? And he does't even get the information right in his letter. Page 40 of the national contract states they get 4x12 2x8 and 8 for holidays. Why would he put that they get more than that? Is it a lie for lies sake or is it just lack of knowledge ont he contract? Why wouldnt someone do their homework? This is the underlying issue with Al no integrity, no knowledge.

The point being he waited a day to fix it even if he did feel it was a threat. So even to your thinking he kinda moved like a snail. There area other posts here dispouting his claim of how it all went down, just as an FYI.

I am sure you can turn the tables to call me a rat, but I am not running for office and Allen is running as the INTEGRITY candidate so if he shows none he should expect to be acalled on it. For every negative post I have post I have posted you have posted one defending him. And I am sure when everyone thought he hurried and stopped a slaying he looked like a hero. Yet in his own words said he went home and told them the NEXT DAY. For ther record 6 yrs ago body didnt go home early like the do right now. So much for your claim of doing your homework before you post. Read his statement above and tell me IF WAITING A DAY TO STOP A MASS MURDER IS WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED if he felt it was a real threat? Even just notifying security or supervision to stop him on his way into the plant the next day. He didn't do that because the whole situation was questionable, and he admitts that thru has lack of action. And where did you see a response from Mr. Boyd? Did I miss htat or is that another homework assignment you missed?

The belief that we will get Diesel 150 comes from our ability to pump diesel, other plants would have to add a new tank farm and new fuel lines all the way thru the plant. I don't know if corners worked, but they are building a TON of corners so they can move corner line to its new spot int he flex bodyshop without shutting down the plant, so probably a yes on that. And on three crews in body.I think its a miracle it has stayed this long unless they are gonna need it. SO either they have plans to need it to run or the buyout theory. But, I have heard they were going to need it if they keep cranking the chassis line up. But, who the hell knows.

True dat, But we on B-crew have different issues than those on days, and anyone that hasn't been on nights in years might not be so in touch with OUR issues. And if someone wants MY vote, i would like to have had them represent me and not just take someones word for it.

Well Allen I hate to point out the loopholes in your story but here we go:( note I am not going to point out the flat out lies, just use HIS OWN WORDS to show him for a fraud.) First you claim Boyd said this: “If they don’t do something about it, I’m going to shoot up everyone in the body shop.” MY THOUGHT*Why would Boyd say this? HE WORKED IN THE CHASSIS AREA prior to being fired, he worked in body after he returned. message to Al:(if you had done your homework rpior to fabricating this it would be more believable) Then you say this: "My belief, at the time, was that the threat against the lives of our employees in the body shop was real." *So you feel everyone is in serious danger yet you do this: "on the following day, (Labor closed early on the night in question), we notified Labor Relations of the event" MY THOUGHT*If this guy was soooo dangerous, why in the world would you wait til THE NEXT DAY to tell labor? Why not the superintendant or the crew manager or medical, hell call the cops if its that serious? Your talking about human life, if you believed he was a threat.(or did you not feel that strongly about it?, maybe you ran home leaving us to certain death) and he said labor closed EARLY so the plant was still running, therefore there was someone to inform. And, he also didn't say he ran out there to inform THE PEOPLE BOYD WORKED WITH. And for the record, yes ESSP would have had to inform labor, BUT, a person that is getting help with ESSP is hit with a rubber mallet by labor instead of a sledge hammer. Allen felt compelled to answer the RAT story. Yet he didn't take time to refute anytihng else on here. Guess he hasn't formulated a story that can defend his position for igoring B-crew, taking off an Ed. leave right after you eleceted him or why he's a nepotism hypocrite.

No, i am not runnign what does what i say really matter. It would be better If ALLLEN would say why to vote for him instead of why not to vote for others, so apply your last line to him. Stewart and Eskridge are both running non-neg campaigns. At least thus far.

For the record Allen has had the votes to goto any crew he wants (not that any would fight him for it) and has CHOSEN not to come to nights in over 5 years. Even though everyone knows if you want t get votes B crew will give you a ton, if you show up and do right by us. And he is the ONLY i repeat ONLY union rep. that has not spent time on nights during the last 5 years On the B.E. thing I am sure his days of union service area OVER surely he won't run again. And he can work here as long as he respects a restraining order, if there is one. You would be amazed at how many worker to worker RE's there are in here. But, if he goes to the pokie he shall be finished. Dickey was great but couldn't get elected for anything when he left. sad. You have been around awhile to still be on nights.
