  1. Are the mods asleep on this site? The quality of the posts on this section of BON have deteriorated to the point where I rarely come here. Some posters have hijacked many threads for their own purpose making this forum lame. Anyway, anyone competent to comment on news at OAC, as local 707's website is also a dead duck.
  2. No one cares Trim. You can work until they cart your cold lifeless body out of the plant. No one cares about your rants. Keep working. I want to read about OAC news under this thread, not your rants. Again what is going on at OAC? What happened to Scotty McColeman and where is he now? How many units can you build on an 8 hour shift/ 10 hour shift? Do you have mass break or relief tag? With Jan - April sales on the upswing with OAC models what does it look like for a third shift being implemented? I was up there for the three month never happened third shift in summer of 2008.
  3. Trim, you can work until you die. No one cares. What is the news at OAC as this topic/ thread is supposed to be about ?
  4. I heard through the grapevine that OAC has production employees on layoff and on notice of layoff. Is this true. Anyone have numbers. Are you working two eights? Any other news from OAC since your website is useless.
  5. Can someone tell Balazs to post the OAC 707 Reporter Magazine for December on the 707 website so others (STAP and Windsor people) know whats going on at OAC now that the bulk of Ford of Canada employees work there. Any news ? future product? what shifts are you working now?
  6. Ford of Canada has around 1000 employees on lay-off in Windsor and around 500-800 in St. Thomas who didn't take the buyout. They would have rights to jobs at Oakville before any hiring from the street was done?
  7. That would be a disgrace as long as there are 1st tier on layoff.
  8. Wow! Thanks Trim. It was hard now was it. Information that is informative thanks. Engines and dash? Doesn't Autoliv have the dash work and its contract had been recently renegotiated. Thanks for the information. More employees of OAC should make use of this thread to get their messages across ( as long as they are relevant)
  9. In our current contract, OAC was awarded a vehicle to be introduced during the current business cycle. Other posters stated that the rest of the Freestar line in the final building was being ripped out. I was looking for someone to expand on that. But it seems hardly anyone from OAC posts on here. I might have to give Beck a call.
  10. Bingo! Give that man a prize.
  11. So is there nothing to report about OAC?
  12. Thanks for the update you old f@#k. You probably don't even know what's going on to comment. You know OAC stopped making the Freestars. LOL
  13. Reposting as the page has been turned. Anyone other than Trim please. Can someone post an update of the current and near future status of OAC, that is more than a couple of sentences. Former St. Thomas and laid-off Windsor employees are interested. Thanks in advance.

  15. Ok. I am just interested in news from OAC. Is there any. Are you working 2 10's ? Have they removed rest of the old Freestar body line in the final building? What is going on with the new model/ product negotiated in the contract that is expiring in 10 months? What happened to that douche Scotty McColeman? I was there for the phantom third shift in 2008 ( worked 50 working days, then back to Windsor).
  16. No posts on OAC in almost two months. What is going on up there? Is trimdingbat ok?
  17. Can anyone at OAC please post info as to what is happening at the plant. The news about the company has dried up. Your brothers and sisters in St. Thomas and Windsor would like to know what is happening.
  18. The plant membership owns the inplant contract. They are therefore the ones ultimately responsible for its' acceptance or rejection. No contract allows radios, phones, t.v.'s , BBQs, etc... . It is an unwritten agreement at plants that allow them.
  19. I am at St. Thomas. We will only have 1 week for shutdown. It will be the first full week in July. We are tentatively closing September 16, 2011. OAC, I believe has the first full weeks in July and August off as it stands. It wil not be official until April 1.
  20. The topic of this thread is OAC NEWS. Posts on this thread are to be relevant to the topic. The Local 707 website is not being maintained with current news. The person responsible for the website must have too much on his hands to keep the site up to date. There are many who would like to know what is going on at OAC. If there is anyone currently working there, please post the news of your plant. Thanks. Again posts here are to be relevant to OAC NEWS.
  21. Bramalea and Edmonton are the two parts distribution centres that Ford has in Canada. You were not offered an option for Windsor as there are over 1000 on layoff here. The positions at the parts distribution centres are steady afternoons(few positions that are steady days are held by high seniority). You need to ask yor reps alot of questions before you make up your mind. I would advise you of visiting your choice location before you sign up. As Ford of Canada is the number one seller in Canada, they have an obligation to provide employment in respect to their sales in Canada. The Canadian national contract provides that Ford should provide 10% of their North American operations in Canada.
  22. trim, you are a sarcastic POS that will get what he deserves one day. No you didn't answer my previous post. Thanks for the info guyfrom stap.
  23. Thanks for the spelling and grammar lesson. Can someone answer my previous post. Thank-you.
  24. Can someone post your December Oakville newsletter as it hasn't been posted on your website and the last three President report links do not work. People at St. Thomas and Windsor are very interested in what is going on. Does Mc Coleman have a chance in being reelected this year?
