  1. Yes. :happy feet: I don't care about getting more in the short term anyway.. I just want to keep what I have. If they bring anything back it should be cola first.
  2. That isn't bullshit our cola went to zero before they took it away. That is the truth. If you don't like the agreement vote no. But don't lie.
  3. Start with Neil Wallyn and Cal Cark. Can you say Temporary!!!
  4. I seen Jeff and Diane at 6am in the committe room and he said he wants to have the a couple election committe and a couple people who are for sure NO votes to count the ballots. This way integity is kept. That is a better idea then the last few times for sure. He said he was going to walk the floor all week and answer questions, then have a meeting Saturday with INTUAW explanation of the agreement. Then we would have a vote on a Tuesday or Wednesday. That was what they were talking about doing in the committee room not sure if they decided on anything yet..
  5. No soft sell, just pointing facts out. But I agree with what your saying also.
  6. Tony is the reason 228 wanted nothing to do with 400. We would not let him run our local. If it were the other way around we would have been glad to have you. The answer is no we like where we are at!
  7. Was told everyone except 2 people from local 600.
  8. Theres an article about how LAP will be making vehicles and shipping them overseas with this agreement but does'nt say what vehicle.
  9. No, if A tradesman is in production he is a production worker with trades pay. He has to be back on trades to preform trades work.
  10. Perm. The one great thing about Sterling is we have yet to have an ILO. I do give credit to Jeff,Dave,Jerry,Nell, Larry, Kenn for that.
  11. From what my friend at Dearborn is saying none of what people are saying on here is true. We still have a strike clause, the UAW can still strike. We just can not stike to improve our wages and benifits. If they try to reduce them, we can strike. If they do not fill up Avon,LAP, KCAP by the end of this agreement (2011) then the UAW has the right to strike over it. We still can strike over safety issues. The trades basically gave up nothing as I understand it. Team will be implimented reguardless because of the 07 agreement. The diffrence is do you want to be compinsated for it or not. Then if they do get laid off and have to work production jobs they get to keep thier trade rate. No layoff can occur because of effectivness of the teams. Volume related. Then there is the new hire deal same as GM and Chrysler. They do not even have thier jobs yet, I am sure there will be a line all the way to the Detroit river for those jobs. So I am not sure what we have to give to get every plant work. Every assembly plant was guarenteed work. If they don't get it the UAW can strike over it.
  12. I am told sooner. Sterling's RDU to start is almost 80 jobs. Pat Reid is asking for 50 more people to cover what we have already. The new work coming I wonder if the skilled trades from 400 will also be made permanent. We will obviously need them well after the october deadline. I am told "by our leadership" that the local will now try to rebid the axle shafts and cases with a buisness case. That would be great. The entry level piece of the contract changes those figures. I also heard it was unanamous to accept the agreement by all local Bargaining Committes and Chairmen, except two. Both were from local 600 truck plant, the guy in the newspaper.
  13. Would you believe he is a union rep who is elected by us!
  14. You might have a point but I don't have an email account and when I went to sign up it did'nt accept my email. Same with others. So we use a friends existing account.
  15. At least you agree you were worhtless as plt Chairman. So, the Fusion.Taurus, Milan, Focus, Explorer, Escape, Edge, Flex, Focus RDU work that Jeff has been saying he is trying to get for the last year and a half, suddenly he had nothing to do with it??? You are about as ignorant as you can be unionbuster. Rawsonville would still be open without Joel God too right?? Hater...jealousy is all your about! I am happy for Sterling. F(*^ You.
  16. Now we are really getting somwhere. I have a better understanding. Your not concerned over the right to strike over wages and benifits. Yoru more concerned over the right to strike over jobs we are promised. Your concerned that arbitration will effect our retirees pensions because toyota don't have pensions and you feel we would take a pay cut as a result of an arbitrator ruling we would be out of line? What stops this in Gm and Chrysler? Aren't we in line with them already? That is what we have been told at Sterling.
  17. I was not bashing you. I said you are not making rash decisions. That was a compliment of your intelligence. Sorry you took it any other way! Still disagree with you about our local leaders. About 4 or 5 of us log on here. Why is that a probleml?
  18. Well they can do that at GM and Chrysler right now then right? WHy hav'ent they? I am just confused on this issue.
  19. What are you talking about? Jeff and Kenn stayed out of this last election. Ask any of the canidates, oh except you Cal or cumfilledeye.
  20. To continue to screw us. So they could promise jobs and then pull the rug out from under us and we coul not strike over it! That is the way I see it. How about you?
  21. Yes on that 2007 agreement except the 11x everything else we agree to in our coa's. The 11x turned into a veriation of a 10.5 axle. We recieved it. The RDU work is work we have not had before. I am not a excited as I was yesterday. People on here destroyed my mood. I thought more plants were geting product also. Did'nt realized we could'nt strike over jobs. I mean if we can't strike over jobs how do we protect them how do we keep the company honest in putting the work where they said they would?? I know wages and benifits are not goin up so I don't really care about that as long as they don't go down! I can't wait to hear from the leadership when they get back on Tuesday.
  22. Thats all I was trying to say and they bit my head off also. I am not saying yes and I am not saying no. I want to hear the details and make an educated vote. Why is that so bad? Then I am ridiculed for being excited my plant has announcement for new work. I wish they all did, but I am a little relieved for my plant. I want all of them to stay open and noone to be on ilo. I care about everyone too. I just don't beleieve you vote no and this stuff stops. American Axle did that and they are in mexico. I am not saying give up the right to strike over products or health and safety stuff like that. I would vote NO on anything like that. I just want to hear the facts and then make a decision.
