  1. I did notice that too, it's been "normal-speed" a couple times. Thanks for the info!
  2. I noticed Saturday the pages here were taking a LONG time to load, like 2-3 minutes each, and just figured there was a lot of traffic. I'm still having the same problem today, and also noticed there were no new posts from around 1 this morning till after noon - thought that was pretty odd. Anyone else? Thanks!

  4. No idea, googled it. Try this: http://www.fordgenuineaccessory.com/Ford/E...r.Tow_Kit.4.htm
  5. Not sure about AAI, but some went to Dearborn for $30,000. Check this thread. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...ting+utica+trim
  6. It is my understanding that the East side, under the last contract, consisted of all plants obviously ON the east side of metro-Detroit (Romeo Engine, Utica, Proving Grounds, etc) and Highland Park. Has that changed under the new contract?
  7. Well HUH...did they happen to say what the zone change was?
  8. Heard this morning (unconfirmed as of yet) that there was a posting at Utica Trim for Dearborn and that no one signed so the offer was changed to include $30,000. (BTW, according to Mapquest, the plants are 36 miles apart). Can anyone on here confirm this? Thanks!
  9. For chrissake, in Michigan we refer to Zone 2 as East side - how any of you from out of state are expected to just know that is beyond me, I mean don't you all have an "East Side" somewhere?
  10. OK, I know I run the risk of p**sing more people off, and I'm sorry, but this is too important to let go: what do you mean by that? This is what I understood: Once the # of buyouts were determined, JSP/GEN had 1st pick, THEN ACH Ford workers. Again, not getting any answers from Local, the only honest answers I'm getting is in this forum. The way that's worded makes it sound like there may be openings, but ACH is getting them. Just need clarificiation. Thanks!
  11. As a RESULT of all the surfing I've done, I can see you guys got "issues". Honestly, I don't know if people think you're hiding jobs so much as people don't trust that their Locals are being honest about postings. Well, I KNOW 36 (Wixom) wasn't. I asked the question because it was obvious from when all the posting went up in ACH plants - going by other threads, they weren't the same in every plant. Just wondered if there was something (else) our Local wasn't telling us. Now I know; appreciate the honesty.
  12. WOW! Ya know, I'm sorry if I bothered anyone with my question. I don't give a s**t that your reply was short and sweet (your term)- you answered my question. But there's no reason to be the d**k you are in THIS post - Where have I been? Working with a local that won't give up ANY information about postings or anything else. I heard a rumor that Romeo Engine had temps - I HAVE done "a little surfing" and didn't find any answers, hence my QUESTION! Crap, if this forum is only for people like you that KNOW all the answers, why does it even exist? Sorry man but that was just rude.
  13. Anyone have any idea how many temps are in Zone 2 (any plant)? Have there been any production postings in the last couple months? Any info is greatly appreciated!
  14. HA! Good luck on the 85% - Wixom's GEN wasn't allowed to go out on 85%, even though it was in the contract. And as far as out-of-zone flowback, several GEN'ers went to the East side as their 1st choice, with less seniority than others who picked it as 1st choice. Go figure. I understand your frustration with splitting the zones, because it goes both ways. There are far FEWER plants to flow to on the East side, so they are viewed as prime jobs to West-siders. We've got a guy at AAI who was forced here from Wixom's GEN with 21 years who's now got a two-hour (that's only ONE WAY) commute because he couldn't flowback to the East-side. They really screwed up splitting the zones like that. And can ANYONE explain to me why Highland Park is East-side??? Just curious...
  15. That's just it - we were in Wixom's GEN (until 3/20) and reps REFUSED to let us have Preferential Placement form. Then we were placed on short-work-week for the week after Easter, so we couldn't sign the postings that went up 3/26. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.
  16. Is anyone having any luck filing for preferential placement? Locals 36 & 3000 won't allow it. Any thoughts/ideas?
  17. OK, Friday night, somewhere on this forum, someone posted a link to the Ford/UAW contract. I took a quick look at it but forgot to add it to my favorites. Wixom's Union Reps said it's not available to us; at AAI orientation today we were told it's not printed yet. Anyone know the link I'm referring to, or how we can get paper copies if they're available? Thanks!
  18. Just wondering, of the 103 that "signed" for AAI, does that include the 75 that were forced there from Wixom GEN? Are the 103 all from ACH? Any idea? Thanks.
  19. I guess I really don't understand - everyone is up in arms about the posting for 77 jobs at AAI, but doesn't everyone already know that Wixom sent half their GEN pool there (the other half to Dearborn) and orientation started today? Doesn't that mean there are NO openings at AAI? Could someone please explain? Thanks
