  1. Hi, I would greatly appreciate your help in locating the window sticker .pdf for my 2004 F-250 truck. My VIN is 1FTNW21L94EA87656. Thanks in advance for you help. Thanks, Dan
  2. ViperPilot, Thanks agan for taking the time to dig up these details. You are awesome! :happy feet: Thanks again, Dan
  3. Hi ViperPilot, Can I bug you for an update one last time? It's been 15-days since my July-1 "produced date". I'm hoping that it has shipped and would like to know for sure before selling my Truck. Thanks a million, Dan VIN: 1fmcu49359ka06881
  4. Any chance you can check the status again?? I have a feeling it has shipped and would really like confirmation. Thanks a bunch.
  5. Gary, I too noted that the 2008 specifications indicated a 25MPH max in electric mode and the 2009 spec says 40MPH max. This means something has changed. I work for a giant computer company; in our case if we publish a spec value it means we fully support it. In order for us to make a spec change like this we would have to ensure that 100% of the product shipped meets the promised spec value. This generally means that some of the product will exceed the specification to account for the entire distribution. Thanks for explaining. It always nice when someone back up their statements with data; you always do this and those of us that read your posts benefit. Regards, Dan
  6. Viper Pilot, Thanks a million for taking the time to track this!!! This is awesome! For many of us excitedly waiting for our Escape Hybrids these updates really help pass the time :-) I'll be checking back regularly for that final ship date. Thanks again, Dan

My '09 FEH should be built and shipped next week!
  8. Hi, Can you please track my 2009 Escape Hybrid? VIN: 1fmcu49359ka06881 Thanks in advance, Dan
  9. Forest Grove, Oregon (just outside Portland)
  10. Gary, We ordered a, Ice Blue FEH FWD with no upgrades at all. We kept it very simple. - Dan
  11. They are building my 2009 FEH now! I just got a call from my local Ford dealer. Our FEH has started down the production line a few days early. He confirmed that Ford has already started. The scheduled build date was Jun-30. He expects it will be ready to ship within one week (maybe July 3 or July 7, but not confirmed) History. We ordered about 10 days after the ordering system opened (April 27). We received the VIN about 1.5mos ago. VIN: 1fmcu49359ka0####

  14. Two new items posted this week... May-14-2008 Press release from Ford on the 09 Escape: http://www.ford.com/about-ford/news-announ...y-mariner-28224 May-15-2008-- AutoblogGreen on the 2009 Escape: http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/05/15/ab...-escape-hybrid/
  15. Gary, I placed my X-Plan order for an 09 Hybrid ~April-27. The dealer gave me an invoice confirming the price with all fees and gave me a screen print-out which included my name associated with the order. The print out is a bit cryptic, but it was right off the Ford ordering system. The dealer did not require a down payment. He said that they are only allowed to order for confirmed customers and that Ford may call me to make sure I really ordered the FEH. Good luck, Dan
  16. Ditto. I ordered a '09 Hybrid and will be paying flat X-plan pricing. One dealer told me that he would sell to me at X-Plan plus $2k; I said heck no and found a dealer that would sell at X-plan plus zero. Only 1 of the 4 dealers I visited to would sell at X-plan pricing; keep looking like I did.
  17. Order Update: We receive the following update from the helpful salesman that ordered our 09 Escape Hybrid: "I contacted my Ford Rep today and gave him the info on your order...Job 1 is 06/23 so it is possible that we could see it late July or August, Ford has not set schedule dates for any 09 Escape's yet." It is very interesting that they are revising their guesstimated arrival date to July/Aug (from Sept) after talking the regional Ford rep. Only time will tell…
  18. Check out the 2009 Ford Escape review posted on ConsumerGuide Automotive (link below). They did a fairly comprehensive review including the FWD Hybrid and the 4x4 Gas Engine. If you see any other 2009 reviews (not the stuff from the Jan-08 Auto Show) lets post them here. http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com...rd-escape-5.htm
  19. To the guy who asked for the price of the 2009 Hybrid Limited 4x2; the X-Plan price is $29,380. We ordered our 2009 Escape Hybrid 4x2 today. It will arrive in approx. Sept-08. The pricing is just as listed in my original post; no surprises the numbers were right on the money! By ordering now we lock in the current price and if the price drops or a new incentive plan becomes available the price will be reduced. Also we can make changes to the order up until about 2-wks before the truck is built. P.S. If you are looking for a cool Ford dealer try Doherty Ford in Forest Grove, Oregon; these guys are awesome! They still believe in making deals on handshakes with little or no deposit on Hybrid orders. They will sell Hybrids on the X-Plan unlike almost every other dealer in the Portland area.
  20. Thanks for the feedback, Walt and Donaldo. Attached is a spread-sheet I put together to compare the fuel economy (sorry its a .pdf because this message board does not support .xls uploads; if you want the .xls let me know). Check out the cost deltas between gas and hybrid models. I've decided to go with the Hybrid. :-) Now I'm debating between 4x4 and 4X2. Better gas mileage with the 4X2 is an obvious benefit, but I'd like the security of having a 4x4. Any thoughts on 4x2 performance in the snow, resale implications of 4x2 vs. 4x4, or any sluggishness brought by the 4x4??? Escape_FuelEconomy.pdf
  21. Prices for 2009 Escape Hybrid and traditional Escapes .... I have some potentially new info for those of you who may be looking for 2009 Escape. This evening I went to my local Ford dealer (Portland, OR area). I was able to obtain full pricing info on the '09s. See the dealer print-outs attached. I'm still debating between Hybrid and traditional Escapes. The dealer gave me pricing options for a number of options. The most friendly helpfull dealer I've ever dealt with, by the way (2-others said 09s are not available yet, 1-other quoted me MSRP +$2k for hybrids). Here are the prices: 2009 Base Models: XLT, 4x2, 4-cyl ...........MSRP $23,425; X-Plan $22,214 XLT, 4x4, 4-cyl ...........MSRP $25,175; X-Plan $23,800 Hybrid, 4x2 ................MSRP $29,000; X-Plan $27,267 Hybrid, 4x4 ................MSRP $30,750; X-Plan $28,854 Hybrid Limited, 4x4 ....MSRP $33,080; X-Plan $30,966 The dealer thinks that realistically September would be the earliest that it could be delivered. They can take orders immediately. I'm still debating between Hybrid and the 2.5l 4-cyl. Need to run the math on tax benefits vs. Hybrid price premium. Can any existing Hybrid owners offer some advice here? are you happy with hybrid performance and MPG? 2009_Escape_Prices.pdf
  22. Update: I contacted 4 Ford dealers in the Portland, Oregon area. One of them was able to give me pricing while others simply said they'd look into it or check back in May. 2009 Escape Hybrid 4WD (base model, no upgrades): MSRP: 30,750, X-Plan: $28, 854 2008 Escape Hybrid 4WD (base no upgrades): MSRP: $28,390, X-Plan: $26,947 Price difference between 2009 and 2008: MSRP: $2,360 increase, X-Plan: $1,907 increase The 2009 does offer some big improvements: new 2.5l engine, stability control, Sync standard, 110v outlet standard, satellite radio standard. The question is are these upgrades worth the extra ~$2k? Thoughts?
  23. Gary, All, Where did you get this pricing information? Can you share the base MSRP for the 09 Escape Hybrid (non-Limited)? Have you tryed to get the "Costco" pricing? This may save you some $. Thanks!
