  1. The world is supposed to end feb 2012

I'm sure the workers will get mulallys nuts in their mouth. And the world is supposed to end December 21st 2012 so we will get some time under our new contract!!!

  2. Pardon my intrusion.

We have NEVER "made" $50/hr. The company makes a point to tell the public that our employment "costs" equivalent to "58/hr" to use your number. What I "make" vs. what I "cost the company" or earn in indirect compensation, explains the difference you seem to be overlooking.

And in that case, since we are referring to "make" and I have heard essentially that "transplant" workers make less than we do, then $25/hr. would be accurate in this case.

Now, when we cite all-in costs, such as health, legal services, pensions,.....we can discuss THAT relative to what we "cost".

No problem, there was a point made earlier in this thread that insinuated that we were talking about total cost. He even replied "Doesn't employee cost include everything we earn?"

Personally I am not a transplant worker so that would make my cost $58 according to Ford and a non-transplant at Toyota $50 according to Ford which is what I am going off of.

  3. I could care less what a Toyota CEO makes. I would hope that in AMERICA we can do better than them.

If you want to make what Alan does, go be a CEO.

If you "loved" numbers as much as you say you do, you would be better at math. 20 times what a Japanese autoworker makes ($25-$30 per hour) is $500-$600 per hour, not $1000. :banghead:

Are you that stupid, they have mettings every year showing that we make $58 per hour, GM at $56, Toyota at $50. So $50 x 20= come on, I know you can do it!!!

And I don't know if you seen the title of this thread-Alan Mulally's pay vs. Honda, Toyota, Nissan CEO pay. :slap:

  4. OK, for solely your entertainment, let's quadruple his salary and divide it up among us. We'll even round the figure up to $2500 per employee, less your fed taxes of 25%, what island are you going to buy with your $1875?

Doesn't employee cost include everything we earn?

Besides if you want to get into numbers, I love numbers!!! In 2009 Toyotas CEO made $903,000, Mulally made $17,900,000, probably further divided now. It's one Ford they claim, so should Ford employees make 20 times what a production Toyata worker makes? That would definately be "life changing"!!! That would be what about a $1000 per hour.

  5. Take Alan's $26M in salary and divide it up between the 42,000 UAW Ford workers and everyone gets $619. Life changing, isn't it? Ready to run out and retire now? He's making Arod money. Big deal.

2011Camaro, I mean Chucky, get out of the employee forum you d-bag.

Nice of you to leave out all his bonuses! Management counts are bonus, profit sharing is why we are making $2.00 more per hour than GM.

  6. When this Company was on the "death spiral," Bill Ford had the smarts to go out and find someone to turn things around. Thank God for that. Since Alan Mulally turned the Company around and (finally) made it profitable again, it proves he is worth every penny he gets paid and then some. The workforce had NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. NOTHING!

Just think how profitable a company like this could be if they had the ability to hire and fire whoever they wanted to. Half of the UAW turd workforce would be GONE, outside lookin' in! No more union favoritism, useless appointees, no more fat slobs walking around with clip boards, on and on and on.....

We are so uncompetative it is pathetic. Lucky we have jobs. THANKS ALAN!

How many times do you need to post this crap idiot? I've seen some of the work tier 2 workers do, with high turnover like you wish the company had the quality would be horrible which would result in a lot less sales. Tell me again how this would be profitable???

  7. ps in case you never read a business section or just basically dont know shit about wall street or profit projections Ford is supposed to make MORE this year than last when you got 5k....What id say you got 7k with an improved profit sharing plan along with 3k for a signing bonus in sept?....That is great for us as union members and great for the company in that they dont add FIXED costs to their labor pool...If the econmy goes down the toilet and the company isnt making money then you get your 30 bucks an hour and benefits...other jobs and indistries would KILL for that. But not the UAW spoiled babies

I would say you were dreaming! The company stated that they gave us more for money for the last profit sharing than the formula came up with. They are so nice to us.(sarcasm there) :redcard:

  8. Good post...

Some people may like going backwards in pay and benefits, but I am not one of them. Ford is making a lot of money lately and can afford to give blue collar a raise. That's fine if you want to vote yes on some bs contract, but if I don't like it which is the way it is sounding as of right now(I will have to see an official finished negotiated contract first) I will be voting NO :lurk: .

  9. The CEO of Toyota is Akio Toyoda. He is the grandson of the founder of Toyota. He has been with the company for 27 years.

Akio Toyoda has an estimated net worth of $1,000,000,000. That is a billion. LINK

Do you think he would do a better job than Mulally. Do you think he'd take on Ford for 8.3 million? Do you want the guy who will take the job for the least amount running our company?

Let me know what other candidates should be on the short list and what the offers should be.

$1,000,000,000 That's billion divided by 27= $37,037,037 million per year.

Alan Mulally came on in 2006 so 5 years he has made in excess of 313,000,000(March 10, Detroit Free Press: Already, Mulally's accumulated equity-based incentives -- 13.9 million shares and 14.5 million options -- are worth about $313 million based on Ford's $14.01 closing price Monday, according to an analysis by Equilar, a firm that specializes in executive pay. That does not include salary, bonus and other corporate perks.)

$313,000,000 million divided by 5=$62,600,000 so that is nearly double what toyoda is making and last time I checked Alan's last name wasn't Ford. He is grossly overpaid and you made that even more obvious with your post. :slap:

  10. A friend of mine works in trim at DTP. She said they are always short on people on every shift. The jobs are so over loaded that they have to double up frequently so that they can get that almighty number. I guess the Co. defeats its purpose of saving money because they need 2 people to do one job. I also heard there are a lot of medicals and absence there. People must be getting pretty beat up and worn out.

There are a lot of absences, I don't know if it's because of medical or what. Also, since they got rid of the temps there has been a lot of people being called in from different shifts, last monday I got called in the morning to come in for dayshift, and in the afternoon to come in for the night shift. The jobs are overloaded and your body does take a beating there....

  11. There is also no shift to shift overtime equilazation agreement, should that mean if managment brings in day shift workers for 300 OT hours that Nick and the committee should not try and get other shift workers in for some of the OT ?

That is your Unit agreement by the way. I would say no, they should strive to get equal opportunities for all workers even though your Unit agreement would technically allow this practice. Remember that Nick is working with a very weak Unit agreement, that was ratified before he became Chairman. You should expect to see at least one more bump season in your upcoming Unit agreement, judging by the actions you see in this case you should be proud of the stance Nick has taken on seniority related issues.

I hope there are 2 bumps per year in the next contract, the plant I came from had 1 in April and 1 in October. As of right now there is only 1 so it is what it is! As far as overtime, there should also be an equalization list. I am not a fan of overtime myself, I would rather spend time with my wife and family then make some extra money.

  12. OK enough pissing anf moaning. You have 2004 seniority!!!!....Nick is a stickler on seniority rights and you my friend have NONE. As Nick told you "IT is what it is"...Be a man and go do your job on the shift you BELONG ON..or quit and go on vacation but stop whining...

He has every right to complain. Nick needs to adhere to the contract, bumping season has been over. These employees coming in should go where they are needed until bumping season comes around again. Thats the way it worked for me and I didn't complain about it because it was the contractual language. Nick needs to go by the local contract and not change it when he feels like it.

  13. When I came to DTP, I came in April. I did not get to put in for a shift preference until the following year, it was past bumping season and the rules are the rules. Nick wasn't running things back then so the rules were actually followed. No need for a local contract if the chairman is going to change what's written in it. This is not the first time Nick has catered to people coming into DTP, he had done this exact same thing a couple of years ago. It sucks you have to go to C crew. Just remember this next election, you might want to make a change in leadership.

  14. You are a moron..Bob King hasnt even negotiated a contract yet you say that? You are the type that is never happy with anyone no matter what...RGettlefinger presided over this Union during one of the worst economic disasters in its history. He used his political contacts to basically save the whole industry from disaster and one company from going out of existence(Chrysler)....History will judge him as one of the best UAW presidents

Bob King negotiated the concessions that were ridiculous and I voted no everytime. I haven't liked Bob King from day 1!

1)Alan Mulally's 2010 compensation rose 48% to $26.52 million from $17.92 million in the prior year.

2)William Clay Ford got $26.46 million, which includes $4.8 million in salary, $2.7 million in bonus and about $19 million in stock, option awards and other pay.

3)Chief Financial Officer Lewis Booth received $8.2 million in total compensation for 2010, more than double the $3.83 million he received a year earlier.

4)Mark Fields, the company's president of the Americas, got total compensation of $8.82 million, more than double the $3.98 million he received a year earlier.

5)John Fleming, Ford's head of manufacturing and labor affairs, had total compensation of $5.92 million, up from $3.85 million the previous year.

I'm TIRED of the victim mentality that a huge number of membership has... You know the guys I'm talking about, "You're lucky to have a job" "Did you get a paycheck this week?" ETC....

International is talking about pay cuts for us in this contract? Are they on fucking drugs? I still don't understand how we let those fucks bargain for us when they have additional benefits and pensions... how can they honestly give a shit about what happens to us? Wage cut.. fuck 'em ... Cut in benefits... fuck 'em ...

We have tried the "Performance bonus in lieu of raises" bullshit.. we all know how that turned out... The bonuses were the first to go! Nothing should be settled for other than guaranteed RAISES and REINSTATEMENT of all of our give backs!

I'm not talking about a 48% fucking pay raise like our CEO received. Just a modest 3% in one or two years of the contract. There was a LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING that there would be an equity of loss between salary and hourly during the hard times that was completely ignored.

These companies cry poverty and push piece of shit give back contracts at us every fucking time... what happened the last time, when we said NO... Nothing, the sky didn't fall.. the company didn't fold.. in fact the company prospered.

WE HAVE GIVEN ENOUGH, IF WE DON'T REGAIN OUR BENEFITS AND RECIEVE RAISES, IT WILL BE ALMOST HALF OF OUR CAREERS (12 YEARS) WITH ONE FUCKING RAISE. are you kidding me?

Change your mindset! Stand together and say its been enough!

Vey well wrote and thought out! I agree with you all the way.

  16. Duh!! No sh#$ Einstein....A Bankruptcy is exactly what you just described except that if you look at Chrysler and GM they didnt have all their assets repossesed and sold but got to stay in business and only had to pay LESS than 20 cents on the dollar for all of their outstanding debt(thanks Obama)...This actually gave them a competitive advantage over Ford seeing that Ford still has tons of debt and theirs was basically erased...cocheese is right on this one buddy

Ford had just put up everything including the blue oval to get all their loans, chrysler and gm did not put up everything to get loans.
