  1. Whether you like diesels or not, the entire auto industry will be making a major shift towards using diesels in passenger cars starting next year and continuing to 2020. Go to: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...&refer=home The Mustang may soon be available only with a diesel engine! And, that will probably be true of a lot of cars.
  2. Check out the Mustang (bio) diesel at: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2007/09/frank...td-with-20.html
  3. It is a negative commercial. The undertow is that, "We made lousy cars in the past, and did not stand behind them. Now, that we are near bankruptcy, we want to build good cars and treat the customer right." For anyone with a bad experience with a Ford, the commercial is a turnoff. Ford should rather focus on the positive. The history of Ford in recent times is negative: Pinto with exploding gas tanks, Explorers that roll over, Crown Victoria police cars with exploding gas tanks, Mustangs with gas tanks right under the trunk, flame thrower exhausts on the new Super Duty pickups, etc.
  4. Ford is finally attempting to become competitive. Renaming the Five Hundred the Taurus is a smart move. Ford is going to obtain an enormous amount of free publicity. The drive train in the original Five Hundred was not competitive, and its looks were even more bland than the Toyota generic cars. No wonder the car did not sell. Using the Taurus X name is also smart marketing. Most customers probably did not know that the Freestyle was the Five Hundred with a different body. There are lots and lots of former Taurus owners who will come out to see the all-new Taurus. I myself formerly owned three Tauruses, until Ford abandoned the car to the rental fleet market. What Ford needs soon is a Taurus 500 to replace the SHO. Ford should install the Yahama V/8 being used in some Volvos.
  5. "Are they smoking crack?" That is what my youngest daughter said about a 4-door Mustang.
  6. Here is some interesting news: Ford is considering a Mustang sedan as well as a wagon. What do you think? Go to: http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...E/61211029/1024 You need to be a subscriber to see the full article plus a photo of the 2011 Mustang coupe. Both cars look great. I really think the Mustang sedan should be given a new name. Perhaps "Thunderbird" could be brought back.
  7. Is this a preview of the 2010 Mustang? Check it out at: http://www.autospies.com/news/Giugiaro-Mus...in-Italy-10064/
  8. I use my Hidden Hitch for a bicycle rack only. Almost all bike racks require a hitch receiver.
  9. Go to hiddenhitch.com. Their hitch for the 06 - 07 Fusion is part no. 60846. They make a great product. I have had Hidden Hitches installed on three cars already.
