  1. My husband works at Wayne Assembly and is currently laid off. If he did not receive sub-pay we would never be able to afford our car payments and insurance, HEALTHY food, and the cost of gas to get back and forth to go to work. The cost of living is just too high to afford ANY extras. I worked at GM as a salaried employee for seven long years. I hated my job. I was a data analyst. I would have to say that the average salaried employee probably has about 2-3 hours of REAL work time and the rest is socializing at so and so's cubicle, having a birthday party in a conference room, or holding a meeting that is absolutely a time waster. My STARTING pay was well over 50,000 and with benefits. If Ford, GM, or Chrysler wish to cut costs, I think it needs to start within the salaried personnel FIRST! Compared to an assembly line operator, the vast majority of salaried workers MAIN concerns are potential weight gain, hypertension, and their cholesterol; whereas my husband, who is fairly young, already has problems with musculoskeletal issues from actually WORKING and doing repetitive tasks. I am currently back in college in a nursing program and have 2 years left before I graduate. I just need Ford to hold up and keep sub-pay benefits until I'm done. Then my husband can choose what he desires to do for the rest of his life. I don't know if any salaried folks post on this site, and it appears that some do, if I were you, I would really think long and hard about karma. Because sometime in your life, you will suffer because of your shitty attitude towards another person well-being.
  2. This is the page I've been trying to log onto: https://www.wslb2b.ford.com/default.cgi I thought this where we go to handle our medical information and other things like the xyz plan. If this is not the site, then would you please redirect me to the actual site? Thanks.
  3. I'm asking for my husband, who works assembly at Wayne. He's not happy about this proposal, supposedly starting in January. He is currently on days, but does not have enough senoirity (under 10 years), to sustain his position for too much longer due to bumps and the proposed shift. So, it's not assembly then?
  4. Anyone familiar with the A, B, and C Shifts being proposed at Wayne Assembly? What are the new stipulations regarding overtime working 10 hour days? How long are these shifts proposed to last?
