  1. Thanks guys, I'm enjoying it so much. Bc160, hope you get some good news soon.
  2. Truck was delivered 5/16. I picked it up today the 17th. Just shy of two months from order to delivery. Now it's time to start ordering all the accessories.
  3. Picked up the truck this evening, 5 miles on the odometer. Thanks again for the help tracking.
  4. 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015 Perhaps today is the day.
  5. Cotus has had my delivery date at 5/17 or 5/16 the whole time. Well, today cotus made a jump from 5/16 to 5/14. Not a big change of course, but still good progress. Fuzzy, could you see what the update is?
  6. Weekly update please VIN: 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015
  7. I'd have given up by now. Props to you for your patience.
  8. Whoa, June 12? I was hoping for middle of May.
  9. Fuzzy, Does the system show the actual rail car assignment?
  10. Requesting update for 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015 Thank you
  11. Thanks Fuzzy! Looks like it was released as of this morning, cotus says awaiting shipment. I figure it could take a few days for rail car assignment.
  12. 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015 Was supposedly built on Saturday 4/28 Cotus says it is in production.
  13. Ordered 3/19 Window sticker popped up 4/20 Cotus shows delivery date as 5/16 So far Cotus has been accurate and consistent, at least on my order. Getting excited as the countdown continues. Big thanks to those on the forum who help with updates and behind the scenes information about the order process! windowsticker.pdf
  14. Thank you all for the assistance. Looks to me like these are done on the assembly line then. Makes since because it would take less effort and time to do before the wheels are on.
  15. I've gotten conflicting information about the liners. Any of the experts know if they are installed on the assembly line, the on site/off site accessory shop (I'm guessing where bedliner is sprayed), or at the dealer?
  16. My first new truck since 2002, and it was a Demo unit so I'm counting this one as my first new truck ever. Interesting how your ETA is right back to where it started, but hasn't changed much since the beginning so that's a good sign I'd think. Can't wait to see pictures when you get yours.
  17. This is great news, looks like they are a few days ahead in the schedule currently. Mine is scheduled for 4/28, VIN is 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015 I'm hoping for an early delivery date, 5/17 currently...
  18. Requesting status update: 2018 Superduty F-250 LARIAT VIN: 1FT7W2B6XJEC56015 Thank you in advance.
  19. The SHO guys often retell this story: When one of the Marketing/Engineering Ford people responded to an inquiry about manual transmissions in the all new 1996 SHO, he said "If you want a manual transmission, keep what you've got" Many of us took that to heart and the 96-99 SHO was a sales failure and was killed off. I drove a SVT focus for a while, but eventually needed more room. When I went shopping again, Ford had a 4 cyl n/a fusion that was the closest thing to what I wanted. 4 door sporty sedan with a manual trans and some power. But the fusion didn't have any power. For the first time in my entire driving career, I am driving a non-FoMoCo product. And really I owe it to Ford for opening my eyes to their competition. I'm enjoying my daily commute to work while rowing my own gears. As long as a manufacturer continues to sell a sports sedan with a manual transmission, it's what I'll buy. So I feel for ya OP, I too couldn't imagine driving anything but a Ford, but while the grass may not be greener on this side of the fence, there are plenty of sticks still out there...at least for now.
  20. And today is the 15th. Order acceptance is to begin tomorrow, but it will be hard to know what to order, unless the order consists of simply "surprise me"
  21. Yep, the SHO is awesome, but it's a overweight pregnant land yaht compared to the 89-95 SHO. Even Ford is aware of this, which is why the next Taurus is slated to undergo significant weight loss. If Ford made a Fusion ST/SHO with ~300 hp and a manual transmission, I'd be driving it instead of an Infiniti G35S sedan 6 speed. Afterall, the curent Fusion is much closer in size to the original Taurus. But strangely, I've seen nothing on the likelyhood of such a product.
  22. You should have seen the paint on our first special ordered 2013 Edge. With the white pearl extra cost paint no less... Black overspray under the clear coat on the front fenders, trash in the paint (raised surface, easily noticable by eye or hand) on hood and passenger side D pillar. Ford said tough luck, we reordered another unit, dealer rejected the first one back to Ford. Our second one came with defective/discolored 'chrome' spots on the wheels. I guess it shouldn't be any surprise my next vehicle purchased was an Infiniti, not a Ford.
  23. 2013Edge - VIN 2FMDK3K96DBA60549 Our 2nd go around, here's hoping OAP paint shop doesn't sleep thru this one.
  24. well, figured I'd update: The Edge is back at the dealer, we no longer own it. Ford (lack of) Customer Service, as I like to call them, basically told us they would do nothing at all, not even a simple apology for deplorable paint quality control. I'm actually still waiting for a call back from the 'Lack of' department... personally I'm betting I'll never get the call. I'm disappointed because we waited 5 weeks for our special order, and the only thing Ford Corporate is willing to do is order another vehicle, while I'm on foot until the new Edge arrives. I do have to give the Dealer a thumbs up, if it weren't for the way they have handled this, my Wife would be driving a non FoMoCo product already.
