  1. I'm not disagreeing here, but... something that I find myself continually having to remember is the gasoline savings I'm getting effortlessly by NOT actually driving, but while sitting and waiting at stop lights, stop signs, long lines of stop-and-go traffic, drive thrus, etc. in primarily EV mode. (Not to mention emissions, heat, etc.) What would otherwise arguably be wasted gasoline in a normal non-hybrid vehicle is saved, but it effectively does not factor into your MPG calculations in the FFH. There's not a way to calculate or measure gas saved while idling in EV mode that I'm aware of? While it may not be much in total over the life of the vehicle, but it is yet another point of savings provided nicely by the FFH, IMHO. It's one that is difficult to quantify. Now granted, you could turn off the ignition in a normal car and realize the same gas savings while not moving, but you lose A/C in most cases, and it very quickly gets old in stop-and-go traffic, not to mention the extra wear and tear on the starter, etc. Not an issue with the FFH. So all in all I have to admit I much prefer the effortlessness of the FFH for this!! Thought it was worth mentioning.
  2. I suggested that very idea on one of the customer service surveys I was sent. It would have saved a lot of time spent trying to figure out a status update of where our car was, including calls to the dealership and the Ford Customer Service toll free number. One would think they could build a customer internet facing front end for their order status and/or vehicle locator programs, perhaps give the customers the ability to search based on your last name, your order number, and your dealer's ID number maybe, or perhaps last name and VIN number once assigned? Internet-based order and delivery tracking would have been a wonderful idea. Anyway, loving our new FFH!! Maybe if we all make a suggestion they will take the hint for the next time around?
  3. Yep, ours came in early!! Dealer called this morning and said it was "on the ground". They cleaned it up, and we picked it up tonight, at least a week earlier than their original ETA. It must have been on a fast train... or truck, or both. We've only put 24 miles on it so far (it had just under 10 miles on it sitting on the lot) after a quick test drive and after bringing it the trip home, but all I can say is.... MAN what a SWEET ride!!! Very impressed! :bandance:
  4. Hi Joe. They are estimating delivery to the dealership the week of 5/24 for my FFH. (Ordered 3/14, HROV date of 3/31.) On 4/28 we were Locked In (probably as of Fri 4/24), and given an ETA of possibly 3-4 weeks. The status I got on Fri 5/1 was that it was bucked. I just learned yesterday our vehicle was produced during the week of 5/4 somewhere around the manufacturing freeze for the flu and Cinco de Mayo. I hope it wasn't the last one they put together that week before they walked out the door. Couldn't find the actual production date, but the "Invoice Date" reported as 4/27. Dealer mentioned the production date might be a couple of days before the invoice date, which doesn't entirely add up? One would think a car should take less than a day to produce from start to finish, but who knows?? So, it was built sometime generally between 4/27 and 5/8 with the factory closed 5/1 thru 5/5 due to the flu. Latest update on 5/12 was that it was on a train somewhere around Vaughn, New Mexico headed our way. Getting closer!! I suspect we'll both see our new rides before the end of the month. Wahoo!
  5. Hi Joe308, will do. I did manage to learn that my FFH has a VIN# now :hyper: , but no other status info was available. The dealer mentioned that the first two (mine was second) of a dozen or so FFH's they ordered actually received VIN's, so, at least that is something! Guess I'll just have to be patient, I suppose. Feel like I did when I was a kid waiting for Christmas morning! Will post updates as I know more.
  6. Order status question? Talked to the Dealership today, and they looked at the status of my FFH order. When he looked in Conceps and did a Status Inquiry, in place of a VIN number, he said it had a Tag: ADP0L3A. I'm fairly certain the P0L part is for the Hybrid Series (Body) Code, aside from that does anyone have any ideas what this may mean? He also mentioned the screen showed him a Status of "No Open Trace". Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I've done some googling, but not found much noteworthy. The dealer is planning on calling their Ford Representative on Monday to try to get some additional info. I thought this might be a good place to ask in the mean time. FYI - I ordered on 3/14 with the deposit and they got a "Hybrid Retail Order Verification Program" confirmation email on 3/31. I've been asking for a copy of the DORA for tax purposes, but I got the HROV instead? Does anyone know what a DORA should look like? Thanks for fielding all our questions!
  7. RE: Owners Manual for 2010 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid FYI - I found the 2010 Fusion Hybrid Owner's Guide here: http://www.motorcraftservice.com (Click the "Owner Guides" link on the left hand side.) Lots of good reading! Unfortunately, the Navigation and Sync documentation isn't in that section yet. I pulled down the '09 Escape Hybrid's Navigation and Sync PDF docs to read (thinking they would at least be similar) while waiting for my FFH order to be processed. Test drove the first FFH that showed up in our area at a dealership across town on Thursday this past week. We were really impressed. A smooth quiet ride, seemed like it had plenty of power reserved if you really stepped on it. The family said there was plenty of leg room in the back. I'm 6'2"-ish and had enough head room to be comfortable with the moon roof, and my wife of 5'10" was sitting behind me with plenty of knee room. All in all I think it's going to be a great vehicle, can't wait til ours shows up! Enjoy the manuals!
  8. The X-pricing from baggs32 post appeared to be from the Ford Partner website, however, is already outdated and the fine print was not included in the post. Where you see this... Trim MSRP1 X-Plan1 Incentives2 Net Plan Price3 Here are the associated notes in the footer that might help clear things up: 1 Pricing subject to change without notice. Optional equipment, $725 destination/delivery, taxes, title, and license fees extra. 2 Purchase incentives do not include Ford Credit Bonus Cash. Ford Credit Bonus cash requires Ford Credit financing or lease contract. Not all buyers will qualify. See dealer for residency restrictions, qualifications and complete details. To view details on incentives for a specific trim, click on the appropriate trim level. 3 Net Plan price equals the Plan price less purchase incentives. Optional equipment, $725 destination/delivery, taxes, title, and license fees extra. Not all buyers will qualify for all incentives. See dealer for residency restrictions, qualifications, and complete details. All of the X prices today are $200 higher than previously posted on 2/5. The 500A pricing there today is $25,633 instead of $25,433 (See also note #1 above as this value does not include D&D, etc.) On a separate note regarding the VOC, the "X PLAN" amount on my (and I assume? all) Vehicle Order Confirmation _includes_ the D&D $725, 3 Gallons of Gas, any extras (Remote Start, etc.), and the FDAF Assessment (marketing charges). There are 2 pages/screen shots to the VOC's, and the second page makes all of this evident. It really is the bottom line price. Hope this helps, I think you're seeing the right numbers. Can't wait to get my 2010 FFH !!! My dealership was wonderful and happily accepted X-plan pricing for my order.
