ESP generates more than 50% of FCSD profits. If we were to raise warranty limits Toyota would merely match it, and because their warranty costs are small compared to ours, we would be at a disadvantage. The HVC's are experiencing significant volume drops partly because we are building a better car and warranty work (our bread and butter) is reduced. This drop in warranty work is great for the Company but bad for our side of the business. I would love to see Ford increase their warranty levels, but also see the negatives. On a side note, for years Wall Street analysts and various credit analysts have been pressuring Best Buy to separate their extended warranty profits from their merchandise sales profits because many believe they are making all their money on the service plans and little to nothing by selling actual merchandise. If it is really as bad as you say why aren't you pursuing other avenues. Start documenting everything, give everyone a pad of paper and a pen and have them write down everything that is happenning. Take pictures of the Supervisors staring you down. Call the harrassment hotline, call the EEOC, call the safety hotline. Heck, call OSHA if you are having safety issues. If you call OSHA do it on the day before the Christmas break when they have to respond within 2 days. Watch them freak out and run around the Plant going crazy. They like that....right Paul??

I hear Phoenix, Ontario, and Sacramento (Manteca) are to be consolidated in either Reno, Nevada or Henderson, Nevada. Ford wants out of California BAAAD. High taxes, unfavorable Workers Comp and expensive. Phoenix only has a handful of employees and did not experience the growth Ford had expected in that area. Plus, Dean Clemente has run that place into the ground with his Cashmere wearin, hair-plug havin, book-cookin ass. Nevada has no income tax, cheap land and has always been talked about as a good location for a Super Depot. Good luck to us all.

Actually, LL6 don't pay for their leased cars like me....They pay a deeply discounted price per month, they do not pay for maintenance of their car nor do they pay for gas and they keep it for a year, turn it in and get a new one. They need to get rid of this perk. Afterall, they are just glorified Warehouse Managers of the old system. Actully they need to get rid of the LL6 "Plant Managers" altogether. Huge savings by having the Superintendents (glorified Utility Supervisors) do the same job. As far as Lucas is concerned, he needs to go back to Honda where he came from and take Toney with him. They have done nothing for this Division since they got here but destroy it (can you say Manteca railcar debacle). Their Lines Per Manhour bullshit is nothing more than a metric designed to cut jobs out of this "cash cow" side of the business.
