  1. Two different guys at the dealer where we ordered both said that if the current $1500 incentive on the Fusion expired - the new ones that come out early April would likely be more - they said they almost always go up - rarely down. We can only hope. If those $750 vouchers are nearing expiration and the dealer won't lock them in - start ordering additonal brochures and hope for new coupons that have later expiration dates, then there is really no risk of you missing that $750.
  2. Received brochures/coupons early last week with expiration date of 4/4.
  3. There are some threads on the $750 off coupon. Some say they have talked to their dealer and they will go into Vincent (the Ford tracking system) and note you have it and still apply it if it is expired (I would get this in writing), others also just say order another brochure online. Apparently Ford doesn't track if they've already sent you one and will send you another - or even order the brochure for a different car/truck - the $750 isn't model specific.
  4. No - there was no order code the dealer could find for the gas version - and when we showed them online where they are during the "build" process - they said they are strictly avaiable from parts once the car comes in. They've offered to discount the retail price of them, but said they would not come from the factory. I don't have a factory order code. You've probably seen this - but this is a link to the aftermarket part from Ford. http://accessories.ford.com/vehicles/fusion/2013/interior/door-sill-plates.html
  5. Factory installed would be interesting. Everything I have found and the dealer we ordered from say they are strictly a dealer add on - we went out to parts to look them up and confirm since they had not sold any. Their detailed order guide didn't show any way to order from the factory already installed. Interesting to see what you get back from Ford directly.
  6. It's probably all about the wiring harness - is it there so that you can plug them in? Still kind of the same question about the cup holders getting the ambient lighting. Is the plug under there and they are just missing a part/light or do the cup holders not have a translucent window for the light to shine through?
  7. Very mixed feelings about this. I don't think either have it right or at least they didn't go far enough to really deliver the whole package. GM already has cellular access with OnStar - they should just modularize it and work with the cell companies to have a module that the owner can purchase from your provided carrier to activate the services and a hot spot if you desire. The beauty of what GM has done is that you can then communicate with your car from anywhere via an app - unlock, remote start, etc. It does look like they are falling behind on the apps integration portion though. I'm sure they get really good subsidies from the one company they pick although this sucks for having no competition and no choice for the consumer. It is however all integrated. Apps will probably come as they are announcint API's etc. Ford on the other hand has capabilities to let the owner purchase the cellular dongle of your choice and plug into the USB port creating a local hot spot, but I don't find much information about integration of that cellular signal with anything else already built into the car, like apps or remote control for starting, etc. It is just simply that - a hotspot. In an article I read today it said Ford was just pushing the apps integration with the vehicle. Guess what - we all know today that MFT doesn't even support Applink today. So what is this buying you and how are they implementing? This must mean that something big is coming by way of that applink is soon to integrated into MFT or Ford's announcement makes no sense at all. What I still see missing though is the remote communication with the car via something like a smartphone app to be able to remote start and other functions. No way to integrate that at all in the Ford world.

    Job 2?

Was it ever verified if Job 2 was implemented and what if any changes other than maybe some quality stuff came with it?
  9. Fusion Ti will be here in about 4 weeks - very disappointing about the Applink and even worse that the bluetooth doesn't communicate with the phone or play directions, etc from the mapping programs through the car speakers. Here is the really bad part about it - different manufacturers always want to cash it and make their product different. All they really need to do is build in a VNC client like some of the aftermarket radio manufactures are doing - then it will just mimick any thing your phone does. They could make the steering wheel directional buttons control the VNC and the screen and you could completely control your phone and all apps without ever taking your hands off the sterring wheel.
  10. So - what's with the drivers mat - because of all the stuck gas pedal stories in recent years? Guess they aren't taking any chances - but also really make the mats useless as the driver is the one person that is in the car every time it goes somewhere.
  11. Do a search here - I believe this is a problem that has already been discussed. The clips that hold the panel on were slightly modifed or ground down for some reason and don't hold the panel as tight as it should. Some have offered their fixes in the other thread.
  12. Is it the standard Ford page on Facebook or a special page? TIA.
  13. Do you have the information about which facebook forum Natasha is on (I think that is the right person.) I've read several posts about people communicating with her during their order and delivery process. Thank you.
  14. Man - you guys have been through hell. I've read all 1000+ posts here. If I had ordered last year I would have been as anxious and eventually pissed as most of you were. I also wish I never would get this interested in a brand new model because I never want the first few months production of any car of any maker. I think this is very typical - you just don't see it or hear about it if it isn't a model you are buying. My partner just ordered a new one yesterday though - 2013 - Ti - loaded, black. There was only one like it in 300 miles or so and that dealer wouldn't trade it. I do hope most of the issues have been resolved on the floor of the factory or will be easy to fix later with a recall with the dealer. I have to say the looks of this car are incredible and while some people complain about too many menus and confusion with MFT - it is those bells and whistles and integration that will sway me from one brand to another. The dealer we finally bought from (we went to 3 and I'm not sure how the first 2 ever sell a single car) was very good. They told us that Ford updates their dealer facing systems twice a week - Tuesday and Friday and they check both days. When there is a change in the car they will notify us. All the way up to shipping. I hope they live up to that now that they have the order.
  15. Don't want to hijack the thread and I will Google the shark fin antenna, but do you have documentation on what the factory antenna does and what the shark fin replaces? I would assume that research has all been done and it is a one for one match, but there are the radio and nav and potentially I guess other antennas that could be incorporated.
