  1. Hi fusionfan11, Could you comment as to how many allocations for Fusion Energi's and Hybrid's did your dealer receive for March... My dealer (Metro Ford in Miami, FL). mentioned that they received 2 allocations for Energi's for March and they used one of those for my order. Another question I have is could have they received an additional allocation for an Energi because they were able to show my retail order to the Ford Rep? I'm still wondering why they are only selling retail orders on X-Plan... the only way this would make sense is if they were able to get an additional allocation, otherwise is a wash... I have not tried to negotiate a trade of my retail order for a stock order, but I'm still planning to, but the one I'm waiting for is still stuck at the factory. Interesting thing happened to me during a visit to the dealer this weekend... I was talking to the sales person that placed my order, he was telling me that they had sold a few Fusion Energi's and I told him that it wasn't possible because the car is not "available" yet, as we all painfully know. So he goes to another guy, not sure if it was the manager, to confirm, and of course he gets confirmation that he is wrong... this is the funny part... this guys turns to me and tells me.. you know that you will only be able to go 20 miles on this car before you need to recharge, right? I could not believe it! I replied in jest... I work out of my house, so that should be enough for me. One one hand they are trying to say that the cars are in high demand so they can sell them at MSRP, but on the other hand they are turning people away from it... If I had not known as much as I know about the car, I probably would have walked away thinking that this was not a car but a toy. Also, during this visit I got to drive a C-Max Energi (which has been sitting there since last time I went there about 3 weeks ago... so much for high demand!). This time it was about 80% charged and it showed 17 miles left of all electric range. I have only one word to describe the experience - IMPRESSIVE! and keep in mind I already drive 2010 Fusion Hybrid... Incredibly quiet and very fast in all electric... The only negative about the test drive was that it made me want my Fusion Energi even faster!!!!!! Regards, APM
  2. I was looking at the VIN's on taylorjd's table... It looks like the 2 digits after the DR in the VIN correspond to the build week... DR23 - week of January 14 (found one online with this build week - 3FA6P0PU3DR233123) DR24 - week of February 4 DR25 - week of February 18 DR27 - week of March 18 DR28 - week of March 25 Let see if this holds up as additional VIN's and build weeks are reported. Regards, APM
  3. Congratulations to you as well... I think that Ford has improved leaps and bounds in the last few years. Back in 2009 I was considering buying a Volt... but I realized that the Chevy dealers were going to try to rape people looking for it, so in September 2009, I traded a 2005 GMC Envoy for the 2010 Fusion Hybrid. I went to test drive it and immediately decided to buy. I work out of my house so I only drive about 500 miles a month. Currently I fill my gas tank about once a month and spend about $50. I have been getting between 39 and 40 mpg on my Fusion Hybrid. My goal with the Energi is to fill it up once every 3 months or less. Most of my trips are short, taking the kids to soccer and ballet and the occasional soccer match about 20 to 30 miles away, so I'm confident that 90% of my miles will be all electric! I know that there is plenty of people who say that it doesn't make financial sense and that I will never recover the difference, and I may agree, that on a purely financial basis it doesn't make sense, but then again, people buy Lambo's, Ferrrari's, Bentley's etc. which make even less sense and cost much more than your average house, so I'm not really worried about what other people may think. I really like the Fusion Energi and I think it will give me freedom from the gas station even if I have to spend a little bit more up front. The only thing I don't like about the Fusion Energi is..... that is not sitting in my garage right now Regards, APM
  4. Congratulations!!! I'm not sure what the dealers in South Florida are doing about X-Plan and the Hybrid Ti. I know that for the Energi I could only find one dealer out of about 8 that I contact that would accept X-Plan and they would only do it on a retail order (Metro Ford), which is where I ordered mine from. Also I wonder if the Hybrid Ti's have the same allocation issues as the Energi. Metro Ford told me they got only two Energi's for March. One of those ended up being for my order. Regards, APM
  5. How did you guys win your cars? They did give you the option to order vs. stock? Did you have to go through a dealer to order it? I wonder if the allocation of the dealer has to do with the delay in getting 47minutes' VIN... Regards, APM
  6. Hi taylorjd, I noticed that the table has a couple of Energi's that are not identified as Ti or SE. Based in the VIN they can be identifed easily... P0S is the code for Ti while P0P is the code for SE. All the Energi's that have VIN on the table are Ti's. Regards, APM
  7. Metro Ford has one on order that was build on 2/8/13 VIN 3FA6P0SU3DR240595. This one is still sitting at the factory even though it was built before the white one. According to the Ford Inventory there are 5 on their way to dealers in South Florida VIN 3FA6P0SU2DR233055 built 1/28/13 (Pompano Ford) VIN 3FA6P0PU0DR246699 built 2/16/13 (Wayne Akers Ford) VIN 3FA6P0SU5DR252635 built 2/20/13 (Wayne Akers Ford) VIN 3FA6P0PU3DR233123 built 1/22/13 (Mullinax Ford Palm Beach) VIN 3FA6P0SUXDR246667 built 2/13/13 (Metro Ford) Regards, APM
  8. I'm not sure it helps them in any way. According to fusionfan11 the dealers get Energi allocations for a certain period of time (not sure if monthly), and Ford does not care if the dealer uses the allocation for stock or retail orders. Like I mentioned on an earlier post, the sales manager at the dealer where I ordered told me that they were allocated 2 Energi's at the end of February and used one of those for my oder. I think the real question is... would they have gotten only one allocation if they didn't have my order? If they had only gotten one without my order, then it makes a lot of sense for them to only sell at X-plan using retail ordrers. Maybe fusionfan11 can help answering this question since he works at a dealer. Metro Ford is the dealer in my area with the most Energi's on order. They have 3 built in February and they have 2 to be built in March (including mine). There are two dealers with more than one Energi in the area Pompano Ford and Wayne Akers. They have 2 on order. All the rest of the electric certified dealers in the area have only one. Regards, APM
  9. All those numbers on your VIN are commom to all the Hybrid Ti's. See this link for futher information on what the numbes and letters on the VIN mean http://www.researchmaniacs.com/VIN/VIN-Decoder.htm Regards, APM
  10. Hi Cyberdman, Do you mind tracking yet another 2013 Fusion Energi (Sterling Gray) for me? VIN 3FA6P0SU2DR252589 This one is coming to a dealer near me and it is equipped exactly as the one I ordered. I'm trying to get the dealer to accept X-Plan on this one. Thanks, APM
  11. Bumped for update VIN: 3FA6P0SU3DR240595 Thanks! APM
  12. Hi Cyberdman Hope you had a good vacation... Can you please provide an update for my order? Order # F500 Dealer # F24003 VIN 3FA6P0SU9DR282477 Thanks for proving this incredible useful service... Regards APM
  13. I ordered mine from Metro Ford. At the time I placed the order, there weren't any Energi's showing up in the Ford Inventory system. Less than a week after the order, three show up. I was a bit upset they didn't tell me they had any on order. I could have negotiated for one of those. Later they told me that they would not accept X-Plan on the ones they had already ordered, and that's why they offered to place a new order for me. I guess they didn't have any more allocation for February and they had to wait until the March allocations for Ford to pick up my order. The Sales Manager told me they were given 2 Energi's for March build. One of those allocations ended up being for my order. I'm still not sure I want to wait until who knows when to take delivery, so I'm waiting for one of the ones they ordered (not the white!) to come in to try to negotiate a trade for mine. Actually the plan I have is a lot more convoluted than a simple trade of the one coming in for the mine, so I'll see what happens! I can provide the contact information of my sales person to anyone interested. Regards, APM
  14. According to fusionfan11 who works at a dealer, retails orders could have been built since they started building the Energi's. Regards, APM
  15. I thought production of Energi's had already started a while back! There are at least 15 Energi's showing up in the Ford Inventory odered by dealers in the South Florida area with build dates as early as 1/30/13. This one is confirmed in transit to Metro Ford in Miami, FL. http://www.inventory.ford.com/services/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=3FA6P0SUXDR246667&ref=VL Regards, APM
  16. One thing I found interesting from the spreadsheet is that not a single order is scheduled for the weeks of 3/4 and 3/11. I wonder why... Regards, APM
  17. Hi taylorjd, I think it is P0S and P0R.... Note 0 instead of O. Regards, APM
  18. Hi Inkblot, I don't have Fusion Titanium (yet!) but I have 2013 Explorer Limited which has the 3 memory seats and the intelligent access. I was able to go through the procedure as stated in the manual. I don't remember if the process was exactly the same as you have in your post. Regards, APM
  19. taylorjd Nice table! Mine is a Fusion Energi (it is not marked on the table) Regards, APM
  20. After seeing all these VIN's being issued today I got a bit jealous... so I decide to call the dealer a speak with the person that deals with the ordering and scheduling. I asked him direclty if he had allocation for my vehicle... he said that he had received allocation for 2 Energi's for March and one of them would be mine. He did not have a VIN yet, but I guess I feel a bit better knowing that for sure they have the allocation. Now is a matter of waiting to see if it will get scheduled tonigh or if I will have to wait another week! Regards, APM
  21. Hi, tch2ffh Read the rules... You won't get an update unless you have all the proper information in your post. Regards, APM
  22. This confirms what my dealer told me yesterday... I hope my car gets selected this week! Regards, APM
  23. This morning I was looking to see if there had been any new Fusion Energi schedule to be build and I found this one: http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=3FA6P0SU2DR252589 Note the color.... Sterling Gray on a Fusion Energi Titanium! I originally wanted Sterling Gray, but it wasn't available on the build & price web site and of course the dealer did not know about the color either. I called the dealer this morning to ask them if I could change the color and I sent them the sticker to show that in fact it was available. After about one hour they called me back to tell me the change was done and accepted. They also told me that I requested the change just in time... the Ford rep was at the dealer working on allocation and scheduling and that apparently they will start selecting retail order for scheduling. I will call them again on Friday to see if they have a VIN for me. Has anyone with a retail order received a VIN yet? Regards, APM
