  3. Hi Cyberdman, Can you please check the status of the following VIN: 2FMDK3K95EBA69115 Thanks for your assistance. Regards, APM
  4. I took my car in for service yesterday to fix this issue. The service advisor told me that they had to put lubricant in some are, but I don't remember all the details. He is going to send me the paper work today, so i will know more about what they did to fix it. So far I have not heard the noise, but I could not drive for long with the windows open because it was raining most of the afternoon. I will check for the noise again today to make sure it is completely gone. My car has a build date of 2/8/13, so I'm not sure they use the procedure outlined in the TSB. Regards, APM
  5. I have the Husky liners as well and they fit quite nicely. They are a little bit thin, but I'm happy with them so far. Regards, APM
  6. Hi Cyberdman, I decided not to wait anymore for the one I ordered and purchased one from stock. Thanks for providing this service! Regards, APM

    Oil Changes

On my 2010 Fusion Hybrid I used to change the oil when the monitor reached between 5 and 10% oil life left. For me this was about once a year. I had the car for three and half year and I changed the oil and rotated the tires a total of 4 times. Each oil change/tire rotation cost me $40, so during the 3 1/2 years I owned the car, I only spent $120 in maintenance, as there are no other maintenance items that need to be performed during this time (at least the dealer never told me I needed anything else!) I plan to follow the oil maintenance life on my 2013 Fusion Energi. Regards, APM
  8. I thought the additional step was for the programmed button and the garage door to properly commuicate. My garage opener is about 12 years old and it requires this step for programming. Even the orignal 3 button remotes had to be programmed in two steps. I guess your's must be a newer model that does not require the second step when using a newer remote. Regards, APM
  9. Sorry.. I re-read my post and I don't think it was clear enough... Here is the deal... First, program the homelink button per the manual... note that you may have to press the button on your remote control a couple of times while you continue to hold the homelink button for proper programming. Once the homelink button in properly programmed, then go press the button on the garage opener (not the remote control) and return to the car within 30 seconds and press the homelink button (you may have to press it a couple of times here as well for proper programming). Hope this helps... Regards, APM
  10. I had a 2010 Fusion which didn't have the Homelink as an option at all. It was only available on the MKZ and Zephir. I went to a junk yard and purchased the two visors from a damaged MKZ for $40. They charged me more, because I started asking questions about the homelink, if I hadn't I could have gotten them for about $20. The installation was really easy... removing a couple of screws and cutting the cable coming in to the original visor, 10 minutes tops. Regards, APM
  11. It works. For proper progamming you have to press the programming button (it is red on my garage opener) on your gaarage opener and hit the Homelink button within 30 seconds (sometimes you need to press the homelink button twice for proper programming). I just programmed mine and they worked fine. Regardes, APM
  12. Hi, Do you know the brand of the film he used... I'm thinking of tinting mine and the quotes around here in Sourth Florida are around $150 using 3M FX Premium Film. Does any one know if this is a good deal for this film? Thanks, APM
  13. I noticed that when it rained the mpg's would go down quite a bit on my 2010 FFH, as much as 4 or 5 mpg's on the highway. I live in South Florida, so I can't really comment on cold weahter, but when the engine was cold even if the weahter was hot, it would take some time to get the engine hot enough to go into hybrid mode. Since most of my trips are short this was what would kill my mpg's most often. In hot weather running the AC is probably what affects the mpg's the most. I now drive the Fusion Energi, so my short distance trips are very efficient! Regards, APM
  14. I ordered the 2 NuShiel Triple A screen protectors last week.. one for the Fusion Enerigi and one for the wife's Explorer. They came in yesterday and I installed them both this morning. They fit very well and the installation was fairly painless. I have not used them much yet, but from what I could see there were no fingerprints at all. FIngerprints were my main issue with the MFT screen, so I'm really happy I purchased them. Regards, APM
  15. Yes, but I think that Taylorjd used something like "took one from stock" for a similar case before... I like it better than delivered because the ordered car is still sitting in Mexico! Regards, APM
  16. Last night I joined the ranks of proud Ford Fusion Energi Owners. I got tired of waiting for the Sterling Grey Energi and decided to pull the trigger on the Tuxedo Black that had been sitting at the dealer for about two week. First Energi sale for this dealer! Here are a couple of pictures... Regards, APM
  17. I took delivery of a Tuxedo Black 2013 Ford Fusion Energi last night. I had orderer a Sterling Grey but I got tired of waiting. The one I ordered had a build date of 3/27, it finally got built on 4/1 and as of yesterday it was still sitting in Mexico. So I decided to pull the trigger on the Black Energi. This one had been sitting at the dealer lot for about two weeks. The black car is equipped very similar to the one I had ordered. The differences other than the color, where the all weather floor mats and the cargo net. I'm glad I didn't get the mats beacuse the driver side coverage is very poor and my sales person promissed to get me the cargo net. So far I really like how the car drives. I took my son to a soccer game today about 28 miles away and I was able to use the Lane Keep Assist, and the Adaptive Cruise Control. I really like these features. Here are a couple of pictures. Regards, APM
  18. I really liked the MKZ.. I drove one for about an hour as part of the Lincoln Access Tour back in December 2012. The main reason I decided for the Fusion was because of the Energi... Had Lincoln offered an Energi I probably would have gone with it. There are a few things I like a lot on the MKZ... the cooled seats (My wife's Explorer has them!), the power lift trunk, the Smoke Quartz color and the HID lights. I'm not sure that I liked the push button shifter, but it gave the dash and console a very clean look.
  19. Talk about being confused.. my car was built on the same day and has a lower VIN sequence number than both of these, and mine is still vacationing in Mexico! Regards, APM
  20. I asked because my dealer agreed to sell me a stock car on X-Plan only if I financed with Ford Credit and they said that they would match the rate I have from my current lender. I'm already approved by US Bank through Blue Harbor Auto for a 1.55% rate (for more than $30K loan for 5 years) or 1.65% (for less than 30K loan for 5 years). I'm still trying to decide if should I take the one in stock or wait for my order. I doesn't really matter to me if I get the loan from Ford Credit or US Bank as long as I get a good rate, so this is not an issue for me. I was just trying to figure out the motivation behind pushing for Ford Credit. Regards, APM
  21. I used http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/ to purchase ESP for my 2010 Fusion Hybrid. I highly recommend them. Having ESP still in effect helped me sell the car at higher price that I would have received otherwise... Dealer where I'm buying my Energi offered $15,500, CarMax offered $17,500. I was able to sell it privately for $19,500 (had to $75 fee to transfer the ESP to new owner), Regards, APM
  22. Hi 47Minutes, What is the benefit to the dealer to do the financing with Ford Credit? Do they get a kick back from Ford Credit? Thanks, APM
  23. Hi Malibu3105, Please add me to the list... Details in my signature. Thanks, APM
  24. Hi Taylorjd, Can you please update my info? My car was built on 4/1/2013, but I still don't have shipping information or ETA. Thanks, APM
  25. I don't think that this has happened to anyone here, but if it has please let me know... My scheduled build date was supposed to be Wednesday 3/27, but as of today my car has not been built. I checked on the status earlier today with Cyberdman and his response was "no change", Ford Service via Facebook told me that it is still "In Production" with no ETA. I just called the dealer, and I'm waiting for their response. In the Ford Inventory system I found a few cars with VIN much higher than mine that have been built and shipped already. I posted last week that I thought the factory was going to be closed starting Thursday, so I hope that this is the only reason why my car is delayed... If this is the case, then it should be build today and I will show up as built on Etis tomorrow! Regards, APM
