  1. http://www.uaw892.org/ford_hourly_report_2007.pdf Here is the booklet they passed out at our explaination meeting. Top of page 2 you will see where it is noted
  2. I have been trying to get the a-b-c since the announcement. I have been told the IUAW lawyers are going over the formulas and if they don’t jive a CPA agency will be utilized. Actually I’m glad it’s taking this long, seems they are verifying the formula that supposedly gave us the average
  3. Yeah I seen it right on top of page 2 in the highlights they passed out during the 2007 explanation meetings. GM, Ford and Chrysler were selling or sold their finance arms in 2006. With these finance arms sold to a separate company they could not be included in profits under North American operations http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2006-03-23-gmac-commercial_x.htm 2007 was a precursor to the desperate D3 to raise income to avoid the inevitable 2008 meltdown and selling these financial arms was a way to do it. GM and Chrysler sold their financial arms while Ford was unsuccessful because of the economic meltdown of 2008. Ford was fortunate to not sell Ford credit after all since they were the only automaker that could actually finance car buyers once the big banks locked up loans. It will be interesting to see if Ford Credit will be included in 2011 since the sale fell thru and never sold like GM and Chrysler
  4. This is the same rumor I heard. ACH will not be sold. They in fact are bringing them all back to Ford including Monroe Milan Chesterfield Utica Maumee Nashville Glass Tulsa Glass Indy These former ACH facilities are all coming back to Ford. I heard this rumor last night from Flash the Hilo Driver

Congrats to KCAP UAW Members, IUAW, Local UAW for hard work and dedication on getting this investment over and above what was negotiated in 2007.....
  6. Goood response Eman........... I am not trades but I do hang out with some of the trades and a few of them did exactly what you did. Hey what do you know a positive response and no rumor to boot. Maybe this board is not all rumors
  7. Is there a connection between your girlfriend and your poster name?
  8. Nothing positive............ hahahahahahahaha Youre kidding right?????? Look at this forum.......... any post.......... See anything positive???? I heard a rumor that you are bald.......... I see you.........
  9. I heard a rumor I heard the UAW will be successful once again to get product in all of our plants and a no layoff memorandum. We will all be fully employed, placed in a building if you don’t have a home base, all ACH will be forced to an in zone Ford location with no layoffs, guaranteed a 40 pay check for the length of the agreement. NO LAYOFFS EVERYONE WORKS………….. The twist is our wages will be the same for the next 4 years. Anyone else hear this rumor
  10. OK... Whats the rumor on the box?
  11. I was talking to Flash (afternoon hilo driver) last night and he said he seen some activity at the barn behind the main barn. He mentioned a stake truck, tarps, tie downs and some fast moving activity. He tried to get a break to go back there and look under the tarp but he was busy all night. Maybe someone can go back there today to verify whether it was the sign or something else. Flash said it had the dimensions of the Ford sign It about time this rumor came out again……………. It’s been 2 weeks since the last one surfaced and this rumor is overdue.
  12. You’re right AROD………… $5.00 per hour raise for everyone….. Sounds good…. They will no longer invest in our plants….. It will be 2006 all over again………….. Plant closings and product going to Mexico and Canada, just like 2006……….. Your views are narrow and shortsighted………. Good luck with that....... BTW last time I was upstairs there were only 4 presses….. How long will you continue stamping???? How many presses are in a real stamping plant, 20-30 or more………… Better get your blinders off and start looking into investments in that plant…. 4 presses will soon be 2 presses then you just become parts assembly for DTP
  13. Why are you misleading the people? Letting the company slide? Why wouldnt you be honest with us instead of focusing on negativity? Nobody is letting the company slide. Did I say anything about giving a profit sharing check back? No I didnt. I claimed how important it is to keep a balance of keeping our rates of pay and keeping new investments coming in our plants to keep our job security and wonderful pay and benefits. I agree we gave up enough and you will not see us giving up anymore. Our wages were played out on TV in front of the whole world and the government has stated we are competitive so dont think anyone is giving anything up. Why are you attacking Jeff he made an analogy to get a point across on keeping investments coming in our plants to have the foresight to protect 40,000 jobs? Nothing wrong with that, he knows a strong company means job security for us. Pretty smart guy. Jeff never had your support since you made that Wixom remark. You showed who you are siding with and he took the high road. I cant vote in the Body Shop so I could care less about your agenda. Dont be a knuckle dragger and base your campaign on we gave up enough and the company owes us. The company loves this rhetoric. Keeps the membership focused too narrowly on the short term. The real issues are looking into the future and what does it take to get more products, higher quality and the ability to bargain as much product in our underutilized plants as possible You are just misleading people, tell the truth and educate yourself. I would focus on what it takes to get more products in stamping. Last time I was there upstairs was looking underutilized. Focusing on getting more presses and more assemblies would be prudent to what is needed there. So there is a delicate balance between our wages and spurring investment in our plants. You should be focused on products and not so much on negativity . Dont you think you should be sharing these views with our brothers and sisters? I think they would be better served with a stable future with more product than making us uncompetitive.
  14. Jeff, There is nothing wrong with your thinking. You are spot on when you tell the truth and the truth is the UAW is responsible for all members form all locations. I agree with you analogy on jobs, investment and the job security we all need. To simply push a agenda that drives us to an uncompetitive labor rate will run investment right out of this country….. Keep on fighting for the ENTIRE membership with job security and investments as a top priority and you will do fine with wherever you career takes you. You told the truth and the truth will set you free……………. Keep up the good work
  15. No one likes the entry level. It’s in our contract and we get our labor rates blended for it whether Ford hires them or not. We will not see the entry level until 7,000 ach, ILO and everyone else returns from closed locations. Entry level in our language is one of the reasons we are competitive with Gm, Chrysler and the Transplants. If there was a better way to keep our labor rates low, competitive and get rid of the entry level wages I think someone would have thought of it by now. Did anyone here put in a resolution to not have entry level and give a better idea, equal resolve to keep from hiring at the entry level wage? Most have benefited with jobs and investments from the 2007 agreement. Entry level is one of the bigger reasons why we got this windfall of investment. If there is a better way it sure would help the new hires……………… whenever that happens.
  16. I cant stand when they report our, hourly rate, signing bonuses and profit bonuses. There is no way to hide this cash from my old lady. She gets her hand out while the ink is still wet on the newspapers
  17. Please dont stop or debunk rumors. We really dont want the truth here........... Rumors only please
  18. Whoa… Take it easy. These are some of the discussions in the team room. Doing my duty to report this important rumor. Don’t shoot the messenger

    KCAP

A half of a billion dollars translates into a complete brand new factory. A half of a billion dollars equates to 3 brand new body shops I think the UAW was successful in gaining investment way beyond what the 2007 agreement called for.... Good Luck KCAP........... We are all jealous....... And happy for ya'll
  20. Not to hurt your feelings but with 600 trades temporarily in production or ILO you can probably scratch getting "hired" as a skilled worker. If they are lacking a certain trade they will retrain a current laid off tradesperson or put on an apprentice. Your committee is correct in this grievance denial. They were just being honest with you. Good luck. If you have the credentials you can get apply for UAW journeymans card in the trade you have your certificate in. That my help IF they ever get through the 600 trades and exhaust the apprentice lists.
  21. I heard a rumor that we will get a $5.00 per hour pay cut, higher copays, loss of Sub and SWW, loss of 1 weeks vacation and loss of 2 personal days plus 1 holiday loss............... but we will get a $50,000 buy down signing bonus. Hopefully this rumor is true so I can pay off my home
  22. I heard this same rumor from a guy named Smokey that drives a hilo thru the McDonalds drive thru. He said there is a brand new Ford sign in a barn behind the main barn. This barn is covered in vines and no one knows about this barn except Smokey and management. Smokey did admit the direct link between a safety talk and the Ford sign. Thats the rumor I heard.
  23. Someone needs to get sprinter a big glass of stfu

    No problem pointy........
  25. Well I don’t know when you had this epiphany but don’t get all caught up in your “raises” rant. The entire product we have now is because of the 2007 agreement and our current wage structure which includes all wages, benefits, holidays, drugs, vacation, personal time, sub, tap short work week, etc. To DEMAND raises now would cause Ford to start putting product elsewhere like Mexico, Asia and Europe. Don’t get me wrong I would love a raise but reality is we have to compete with Asians, Mexicans and Europeans. We need to continue products and investments in our plants to GUARANTEE employment first. With your demands and the cyclical nature of automotive investments we would be priced out of a job within 3 years. Thanks for your flawed point of view, but this contract I will be happy with more investment full employment for all of my Brothers and Sisters on ILO and working in ACH and filling up our underutilized assembly, powertrain and stamping plants.
